IM SURE I WON'T BE ABLE TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION IN THIS AD SO IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL 724-813-8599 (JOHN) BEFORE BIDDING.

UP FOR BID IS MY 1990 CHEVY 454 SS PICK UP TRUCK IT HAS PW,PL,PS,PB,CD PLAYER, AUTO TRANSMISSION (REBUILT 3 SPEED W/ SHIFT KIT), 7.4 LITER FUEL INJECTED 454 (PREVIOUS OWNER CLAIMS ITS WAS REBUILT YEARS AGO, HOWEVER IT CANNOT BE VERIFIED),SLIDING REAR WINDOW, HERCULINER, ALL NEW CLEAR LIGHTS, AFTERMARKET TAIL LIGHTS, AND HAS BEEN LOWERED 2" IN FRONT AND 4" IN BACK FOR A NICE LEVEL LOOK.

THE INTERIOR IS ACTUALLY NICE FOR ITS AGE, BUT BOTH ARM RESTS WILL NEED REPLACED. THESE RUN $52.99 NEW HERE ON EBAY. BOTH ARE INCLUDED BUT DRIVERS SIDE HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO BEING VERY WORN. THE REST OF THE INTERIOR IS VERY SOLID.

THE BODY IS HOWEVER WILL NEED A BODYMAN'S TOUCH IF YOU EVER WANT IT TO BE MORE THAN A DRIVER. PLEASE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE PICS. THERE ARE SEVERAL DINGS AND SCRATCHES BEST DESCRIBED AS "ALL OVER" DONT GET ME WRONG IT'S A SOLID TRUCK BUT THE FOLLOWING AREAS MUST BE POINTED OUT.

*DRIVERS CAB CORNER WELDED IN BUT NEVER FINISHED (PASSENGER SIDE IS SOLID)

*DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL WELL HAS BONDO IN IT AND WILL NEED WORK TO BE PERFECT (PASSENGER SIDE IS SOLID)

*CLEARCOAT IS PEELING ON ROOF AND ALONG TOP OF BED AND FENDERS

*DRIVERS DOOR WAS REPLACED AND DONE CORRECTLY BUT THE PAINT IS NOT A DEAD MATCH (SPRAY CAN?)

THE EXHAUST IS IN GOOD SHAPE AND EXITS JUST PAST THE CAB W/ NO TURN DOWNS. IT DID PASS INSPECTION AND EMISSIONS.

IM NOT SURE ABOUT THE GEAR RATIO, BUT IT RUNS VERY WELL AND FAST!

THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD AND HAS A SHIFT KIT INSTALLED.

THE ENGINE RUNS WELL VERY WELL IN FACT AND I WAS TOLD IT HAD BEEN REBUILT. I CANNOT VERIFY THIS, BUT IT HAS PLENTY OF POWER, GOOD OIL PRESSURE, RUNS COOL, AND SOUNDS HEALTHY. THE DRIVERS SIDE VALVE COVER GASKET HAS MINIMAL LEAK.

THE BATTERY IS NEW, RECENT OIL CHANGE, NEW TENSIONER, NEW BELT, NEW CD PLAYER AND SOME MINOR THINGS I'M SURE I HAVE FORGOTTEN.

THERE ARE NO SERVICE LIGHTS ON AT THIS TIME HOWEVER THE BRAKES DO NEED BLED. THEY ARE GOOD ALL THE WAY AROUND, BUT PREVIOUS OWNER USED A 1 MAN BREAK BLEEDER (NEVER SEEMS TO WORK AS GOOD) STILL STOPS AND GOES JUST FINE.

THE LIGHTS ALL WORK BUT THE HIGH BEAM SWITCH IS STUCK ON HIGH. THESE  ARE $20 ON EBAY, BUT IT CAN ACTUALLY BE REPAIRED IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING.

I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK SINCE OCTOBER AND I BOUGHT TO RESTORE.. IT RAN WELL AND I JUST ENDED UP DRIVING IT AND NEVER DID ANYTHING TO IT. THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD SEVERAL NICE PROJECTS AND ENDED UP USING THIS FOR A DRIVER AS WELL. HE WAS VERY HONEST AND I DROVE THE TRUCK OVER 100 MILES HOME WITH NO ISSUES. SINCE THEN I HAVE PUT ABOUT 10K OR SO ON IT I THINK.

THE UNDERNEATH IS SOLID, FRAME IS VERY GOOD, AND ITS VERY CLEAN FOR THE YEAR..

PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A DRIVER.. ITS NOT A 10K-20K TRUCK! PLEASE BID ACCORDINGLY AS YOU ARE BIDDING TO WIN! 0 FEEDBACK OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK BIDDERS WILL BE DELETED! YOUR NOT BIDDING ON A CHANCE TO LOOK AT IT YOUR BIDDING TO OWN IT.

I HAVE DISCLOSED EVERYTHING I POSSIBLY COULD AND PROBABLY MADE IT SOUND WORSE THAN IT REALLY IS. THIS TRUCK RUNS, DRIVES, AND SHINES STILL FOR 23 YEARS OLD.

I HAVE SOLD MANY OF MY PERSONAL CARS AND TRUCKS ON EBAY AND I CAN POINT YOU TOWARD A SHIPPING COMPANY IF NEEDED. I JUST SHIPPED A 2007 MUSTANG TO S. CAROLINA FOR $450. I CAN HELP, BUT ALL DETAILS MUST BE WORKED OUT BEFORE AUCTION ENDS. ALL SHIPPING IS AT BUYERS EXPENSE AND LOCAL PICK UP IS ENCOURAGED.

I REQUIRE A $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION OF I WILL RE-LIST AND REPORT NON-PAYING BIDDERS TO EBAY.

I WILL END THE AUCTION AT ANY POINT FOR THE RIGHT PRICE AS THIS TRUCK IS FOR SALE LOCALLY ALSO.

GM to trim Russian output, raise prices amid currency woes

Thu, Feb 5 2015

General Motors is shutting down its factory in Russia's second largest city, St. Petersburg, from the middle of March until the middle of May as the country's currency, the ruble, continues to give economists fits. The ruble's value has plunged due not only to western sanctions, but a precipitous fall in oil prices. We knew these factors were already impacting the auto industry there, as Ford reported in its 2014 earnings statement, and now they're forcing GM to cut production at the factory, shown above, that is responsible for production of the Chevrolet Cruze and Opel Astra. Meanwhile, Automotive News is citing Russian outlet Kommersant as saying that GM has hiked its prices in the country by an average of 20 percent over the past two months. While a GM spokesman confirmed the St. Petersburg plant would be shut down for the two-month span reported by Kommersant and AN, he would not confirm the price increase. These are 2014's best-selling cars and trucks

Tue, Jan 6 2015

Now that 2014 is no more than a set of numbers on spreadsheets, at last, the grist mill gets its first real load to chew on. The number one selling vehicle in America last year was the Ford F-Series, a fact that should surprise you only if your family name is Van Winkle and your naps tend to last 38 years, which is how long the Ford pickup has ruled our buying landscape. Even though series sales were down 1.3 percent, it still racked up 753,851 units. That's 2,065.3 sales per day, every day, all year. The Chevrolet Silverado, up 10.3 percent for the year, was still a daylight second at 529,755 units. The cab-and-bed love continued into third place with the Ram 1500-3500 trucks, gaining 23.6-percent year-on-year to clock 439,789 units. The robust turnout at The Bighorn and Jeep helped Fiat-Chrysler increase its sales by 16 percent, past the two-million mark. Our number one car? The Toyota Camry, staying in first place with a 4.9-percent sales boost to 428,606 sales, trailed again by the Honda Accord at number five with 388,374 sales. Accord sales rose six percent, and if it's any consolation to Honda for coming in second - not that it needs one - it is the only manufacturer to have three vehicles in the top ten. The rest of the list: the Nissan Altima with 335,644 sales (+4.7%), the Honda CR-V with 355,019 (+10.2%), the Toyota Corolla/Matrix combo with 339,498 (+5.9%), the Honda Civic with 325,981 (-3.1%), and the Ford Fusion with 306,860 sales (+2.9%). Total sales for the year were up six percent to 16.5 million vehicles, a volume not seen since 2006, aided by a strong December that was up by 11 percent year-on-year. Ford was the top selling brand overall but sales didn't really budge from 2013, while Subaru rocketed up 21 percent to finish with 513,693 sales. At the precious end, BMW, Audi, Porsche and Land Rover all had record years, and Kelley Blue Book thinks we could be looking at 17 million sales for the next two or three years. Looks like it's time to start making hay again... GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
