You are looking at my 1986 4X4. It has always been adult owned and well cared for. It is a rust free original red truck that needed new paint (original paint was faded and getting thin). It has a 305 V8 with a 700r4 auto trans. The trans and transfer were gone through about 25,000 miles ago. The trans pan gasket needs replaced as it is cork and seeps a little. The engine is all stock / original with a slight lifter tick when started (typical older chevy). Truck runs, drives, and stops as it should. AC worked fine last summer but needs a shot of freon - I will try to get it charged by the end of the week.
Factory options are; Scottsdale package - 4X4 - power windows - power locks - tilt - gauges - manual locking hubs - locking differential - 3:73 gears - tow hooks - cargo lamp - dual tanks - am / fm cassette stereo - cruise.
Still has owners manuals in glove box. Right hand tank fuel has been disconnected . Cruise is not hooked up. Radio still works. Has very nice set of BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A LT 285/75R16 tires and aluminum wheels.
Recently replaced items; front brakes - oil changed - newer exhaust - seat upholstery - carpet - tinted rear slider - side moldings - wheel moldings -power window switches & motors - glass run channels & belt moldings - 2 Tone Paint in DuPont base coat / clear coat.
Again this was a great truck that had only minor door dings and faded paint. All body panels are original to this truck. All panels fit and doors etc. open and close as they should.
I am selling this truck because I have a back problem and it is hard for me to get into and out of. I have driven this truck since last september with no problems. I have a clear title in my hands and it is currently registered to me. I am located in METROPOLIS ILLINOIS 62960. Feel free to contact me and come look at it in person. This truck turns heads every time I drive it.
$200.00 non-refundable deposit by PayPal due within 24 hours of auction end. Remainder due in CASH ( NO CHECKS ) upon pickup or before shipping. If you must send a cashiers check my bank requires a 5 day hold on funds to clear. Sorry it is not me it is my banks policy. Buyer is responsible for all shipping. I can assist in loading. Truck is also for sale locally. Please do not wait as you may miss out!
Please look at all photos (some are blurred as it started raining before I got them all taken). Please ask any questions I know I have missed something. Thank you and good luck.

GM sees 'strong year' in 2018, then gold in Chevy Silverado for 2019
Tue, Jan 16 2018DETROIT — General Motors said on Tuesday it expects earnings in 2018 to be largely flat compared with 2017, but that profits should pick up pace in 2019 as its revamped line of high-margin pickup trucks hits the U.S. market. The 2018 earnings outlook was above market expectations, sending GM shares up more than 3 percent in premarket trading. "GM had a very good 2017 as we continued to transform our company to be more focused, resilient and profitable," GM Chief Executive Mary Barra said in a statement. "We are positioned for another strong year in 2018 and an even better one in 2019." GM and its Detroit rivals, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, are bringing on new trucks at a time when overall U.S. new vehicle sales have been falling, but truck sales continue to grow as consumers abandon passenger cars in favor of pickups, SUVs and crossovers. GM on Saturday fired a new round in the battle for profits from one of the U.S. auto industry's most lucrative segments when it showed a new generation of its Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the Detroit auto show. The new Silverado, a highlight of the event, is the successor to GM's best-selling vehicle in North America. Sales of the current Silverado rose nearly 2 percent to 585,000 vehicles in 2017. In the coming months, the company will also reveal a revamped GMC Sierra pickup truck. U.S. new vehicle sales fell 2 percent in 2017 after hitting a record high in 2016, and are expected to drop further in 2018 as interest rates rise and more late-model used cars return to dealer lots to compete with new ones. GM said on Tuesday that while it retools a factory in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to make the new pickup trucks, it will shift some production to an Oshawa, Ontario, plant in order to avoid missing sales in a hot market for the vehicles. The No. 1 U.S. automaker said it will record a $7 billion non-cash charge for its fourth-quarter 2017 earnings related to deferred tax assets. GM said it expects capital expenditure in 2018 of around $8.5 billion, about $1 billion of which will go toward funding self-driving car technology. Last week, the company said it is seeking U.S. government approval for a fully autonomous car — one without a steering wheel, brake pedal or accelerator pedal — to enter the automaker's first commercial ride-sharing fleet in 2019. GM said it expects 2017 earnings per share at the high end of its previously forecast range of $6 to $6.50.
C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
