RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BIDDER.
THESE TYPES OF TRUCKS SEEM TO BE SELLING FOR $7000 TO $12000 ONLINE.
I TRADED FOR THIS TRUCK RECENTLY BUT AM NOW MOVING AND WON'T HAVE THE SPACE FOR A 3RD VEHICLE - SO MUST SELL BEFORE MOVING.
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
THE PREVIOUS OWNER PUT A NEW RADIATOR IN (WITH COOLER), NEW WATER PUMP, NEW BILLET GRILLE ON THE FRONT, NEW IGNITION BARREL (APPARENTLY KEY GOT STUCK IN THE BARREL AND COULDN'T BE REMOVED), INSTALLED LARGE CHROME DUAL EXHAUST TIPS THAT COME OUT THE SIDES OF THE TRUCK JUST FORWARD OF THE REAR WHEELS, THERE'S A NEWER BLUE BENCH SEAT, NEWER BLUE HEADLINER. POWER WINDOWS / LOCKS WORK - GAUGES LOOK LIKE THEY WORK BUT HAVE NOT BEEN TESTED FULLY (THERE'S A GAUGE UNDER THE DASH WHICH ISN'T WIRED AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT'S FOR). THIS HAS DUAL GAS TANKS - BUT PREVIOUS OWNER ONLY USED RIGHT SIDE TANK.
400 TURBO TRANSMISSION JUST INSTALLED. TRUCK IS BY NO MEANS PERFECT, IT IS NO WHERE NEAR A SHOW TRUCK - IT WAS JUST BUILT TO LOOK GOOD AND BE NOTICED GOING DOWN THE ROAD (WHICH IT DOES - I STOPPED TO PUT GAS IN IT AND EVERYONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT OR COMMENT HOW COOL IT IS)...THE BODY HAS A NUMBER OF SMALL DENTS, THE PAINT IS NOT PERFECT (LOOKS GOOD FROM A DISTANCE), CRUISE CONTROL / WIPERS NOT WORKING (DON'T KNOW IF THEY'RE NOT HOOKED UP OR DON'T WORK). NO AC - BUT CAN BE EASILY ADDED TO THESE OLDER TRUCKS. FAN SEEMS TO BLOW UNDER THE DASH (HAS COOLED TRUCK IN SUMMER). I WAS TOLD THE STARTER WIRING IS CLOSE TO THE HEADERS BY THE MECHANIC THAT PUT IN THE TRANSMISSION AND SHOULD BE MOVED AT SOME POINT (NOT SURE HOW SIMPLE THAT IS). CURRENTLY AT MY HOME WITH A FLAT BATTERY FROM SITTING (I WAS TOLD BATTERY WAS NEW). WHEN PICKING UP BRING JUMPER CABLES! DOES RUN THOUGH - AS WITH MOST OF THESE 350 CHEVROLETS THEY ARE CHEAP TO WORK ON AND LAST FOR A LONG TIME. MILEAGE OF APPROX. 88,000 IS BELIEVED TO BE TRUE - BUT NO WAY OF KNOWING. IF I WAS GOING TO KEEP IT I WOULD SWAP OUT THE CARPET AND MAKE SURE THE WIPERS WORKED.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE TRUCK AND AS MENTIONED IT WAS A TRADE AND I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO DO ANYTHING ELSE TO THE TRUCK OR CHECK ANYTHING...ALL I KNOW IS THAT IT SEEMS TO RUN WELL (KICKS YOU BACK IN YOUR SEAT WHEN TRANSMISSION SHIFTS UP). OBVIOUSLY SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY IMPLIED. BUYER TO PAY WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE WITH $500 DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTION END. HAPPY TO HELP WITH SHIPPING - BUT AT BUYERS EXPENSE. TRUCK IS CURRENTLY IN CENTRAL FLORIDA JUST NORTH OF ORLANDO.
2 KEYS COME WITH TRUCK - CLEAR TITLE. PHOTOS SHOW CONDITION - BUT DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING - PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
What if the mid-engine Corvette is really a Cadillac?
Tue, Jun 28 2016Call me crazy, but I'm not convinced the mid-engine Corvette is the next Corvette. The rumor is strong, yes. And, contrary to some of the comments on our site, Car and Driver - leader of the mid-engine Corvette speculation brigade - has a pretty good record predicting future models. But it's another comment that got me thinking: or maybe it's a Cadillac. There is clearly something mid-engine going on at GM, and I think it makes sense for the car to be a Cadillac. First off, check out how sweet the 2002 Cadillac Cien concept car still looks in the photo above. Second, there are too many holes in the mid-engine Corvette theory. There are too many holes in the mid-engine Corvette theory. The C7 is relatively young in Corvette years, starting production almost three years ago as a 2014 model. Showing a 2019 model at the 2018 North American International Auto Show would kill sales of a strong-selling car before its time. Not to mention it would only mean a short run for the Grand Sport, which was the best-selling version of the previous generation. More stuff doesn't add up. Mid-engine cars are, in general, more expensive. Moving the Vette upmarket leaves a void that the Camaro does not fill. There's not much overlap between Camaro and Corvette customers. Corvette owners are older and enjoy features like a big trunk that holds golf clubs. Mid-engine means less trunk space and alienating a happy, loyal buyer. Also, more than 60 years of history. The Corvette is an icon along the likes of the Porsche 911 and Ford Mustang. I'm not sure the car-buying public wants a Corvette that abandons all previous conventions. And big changes bring uncertainty - I don't think GM would make such a risky bet. Chevrolet could build a mid-engine ZR1, you might say, and keep the other Corvettes front-engine. Yes they could, and it would cost a ton of money. And they still need to fund development of that front-engine car. I highly doubt the corporate accountants would go for that. But a Cadillac? Totally. Cadillac is in the middle of a brand repositioning. GM is throwing money at this effort. A mid-engine halo car is the just the splash the brand needs to shake off the ghosts of Fleetwoods past. And it's already in Cadillac President Johan De Nysschen's playbook. He was in charge of Audi's North America arm when the R8 came out. A Caddy sports car priced above $100,000 isn't that unreasonable when you can already price a CTS-V in that range.
Meet the mother-daughter team that's worked on almost every Chevy Volt
Sun, May 11 2014It's Mother's Day, and we're soft enough we love our mothers enough to share a new video from General Motors with you. In it, we meet Monique Watson (left) and Evetta Osbourne, a mother-daughter team that works at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly where GM makes the Chevy Volt (along with all of GM's other plug-in hybrids: the Opel Ampera, Holden Volt and Cadillac ELR). The two work side-by-side and have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on almost all of those vehicles - nearly 80,000 of them - since GM started making the pre-production Volts in 2009. In a prepared statement, Watson said that she likes working next to her mom, day in and day out, and they the two are totally in sync when it comes to putting the 400-pound, 16.5-kWh packs into the vehicle undersides. They two can also share stories throughout the day, and Watson said, "The arrangement has absolutely improved our relationship." Osborne started working at Detroit-Hamtramck in 1999, Watson since 2006. If you're driving a Volt today, you probably have them to thank for doing a bit of the work putting your car together. See a short video of them in action below. It's Always Mother's Day for Detroit-Hamtramck Duo Mother, daughter install lithium-ion battery pack in nearly all GM electric vehicles 2014-05-08 DETROIT – For Detroit resident Evetta Osborne, every day is Mother's Day. That's because she literally works side by side with her daughter, Monique Watson, at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. They have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on nearly every Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera, Holden Volt, and Cadillac ELR since production began. In fact, apart from vacation days and an occasional sick day, the mother-daughter duo has installed almost every battery pack since the Volt was in pre-production in 2009. The ELR launched earlier this year. All told – including Ampera – that's more than 80,000 electric vehicles. "We're a good team and our relationship is secondary when it comes to performing our jobs – but it's great to work alongside my daughter, said Osborne, a mother of five. Because the battery packs weigh more than 400 pounds each, automatic guided vehicles – robotic carts that use sensors to follow a path through the plant – deliver them just as the vehicle body structures glide into position overhead. The carts then lift the T-shaped packs, and Osborne and Watson guide them into the chassis and secure each one with 24 fasteners.
