READ MY TEXT, 1 OWNER!!!!!!

THIS IS THE CREME OF THE CROP, THE 1966 CHEVY C10 FLARESIDE. WE PURCHASED THIS TRUCK FROM THE SON OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER, WHO HAD A PROFESSIONAL, FRAME-OFF RESTORATION PERFORMED ON IT IN 2009. THIS TRUCK IS COMPLETELY RUST AND ROT FREE!! POWERTRAIN IS A 350 CUBIC INCH V8, ELECTRIC CHOKE, CARBEURATED. THE TRANSMISSION IS A SM465 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, WITH 1ST GEAR BEING A " GRANNY " GEAR FOR HAULING TAKE OFF. THE PREVIOUS OWNER ALSO CONVERTED THE FRONT WHEELS TO DISC BRAKES, AND THE REARS ARE DRUMS. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT THIS. THERE IS NO RUST, AND NO ROT ON THIS TRUCK ANYWHERE. ORIGINAL OWNER HAD THIS TRUCK VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND THE CAB AND BED HAVE UNDERGONE A FRAME UP RESTORATION = MEANING EVERY SQUARE INCH OF THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN REJUVENTATED. THIS C10 IS ALSO A FLARESIDE MODEL WHICH GIVES IT THE BEST LOOK IN MY OPINION! IT STARTS RIGHT UP WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. IDLES PERFECTLY, AND REVS UP LIKE A MONSTER!!!! WITH A DUAL EXHAUST THAT LETS PEOPLE KNOW YOU GOT AMERICAN MUSCLE UNDERNEATH THE HOOD, AND YOU CAN MAKE THEM NERVOUS! READ THIS PART CAREFULLY ALSO= THERE ARE NO LEAKS, NO ISSUES MECHANICALLY, BRAKES ARE 90% TIRE TREAD IS 90%, YOU LITERALY CAN BUY THIS TRUCK AND HAVE NO WORRIES OF PUTTING ANY MONEY INTO IT FOR THE NEXT YEAR!!!! I MEAN WHAT I SAY, THIS TRUCK IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. ITS WAITING FOR ITS NEW OWNER TO ENJOY IT ON CRUISE NIGHTS, BRING IT TO A CAR SHOW ( YES IF YOU BRING THIS TO A CAR SHOW YOU WILL WIN THE DAMN TROPHY! ) OR DO WHAT WE LIKE TO DO, SHOW SOME 4 CYLINDER HONDA YOU MEAN BUSINESS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT! DONT HESITATE YOU WILL NOT FIND ONE IN THIS SHAPE, ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY!!

GM recalls 3,300 pickups and SUVs for new ignition-switch issue [UPDATE]

Mon, Oct 19 2015

UPDATE: A statement from GM about the recall has been added below. The exact total of vehicles affected is 3,296, including 3,073 of them in the US. General Motors isn't letting an ignition-switch problem grow into a massive scandal again. The automaker is recalling about 3,300 North American trucks and SUVs. They are: the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra and the 2015 Chevy Suburban and Chevy Tahoe, as well as 2015 model heavy-duty pickups, the Detroit News reports, citing an Associated Press story. The issue appears to have been caught fairly quickly. In this case, the keys can get stuck in the "start" position and then slip to "accessory" if bumped. This is because the ignition lock gears have an outer diameter that's larger than the specifications allow. When that happens the engine shuts off, and the driver loses assistance to the steering and brakes. The airbags might also be affected. The vehicles get a new ignition-lock housing to fix the problem. According to the Detroit News, an employee who experienced the problem with the switch discovered the issue, and this person then let officials at the automaker know as part of the Speak Up for Safety program. A total of five reports of the fault were discovered. However, there are no cases of injuries or crashes. The claims to the automaker's resolution program eventually tallied that GM's previous ignition switch problem included 124 deaths and 275 injuries. The company also had to recall millions of vehicles and pay significant fines to the US government. GM Statement General Motors is recalling 3,073 full-size trucks from the 2014 and 2015 model years in the U.S. Some of these vehicles may have an ignition lock actuator gear with an outer diameter that exceeds specifications, which may make turning the ignition key difficult. The ignition key could get stuck in the "start" position. This may be more likely at higher interior ambient temperatures. If the vehicle is driven with the key stuck in the "start" position, and the vehicle experiences a significant jarring event or the vehicle's interior temperature cools, the ignition lock cylinder could move out of the "start" position, rotate past the "run" position, and move into the "accessory" position, leading to loss of power steering assist, power brakes and potentially air bag deployment in certain crashes. Dealers will replace the ignition lock housing.

Weekly Recap: Revisting the BBC report that ended Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear run

Sat, Mar 28 2015

Jeremy Clarkson's long run as a Top Gear host has come to an end, and the reason is clear: His physical assault on one of the show's producers crossed a line, and the government-owned BBC couldn't tolerate it. The incident between Clarkson and Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon was initially described as a "fracas," and Clarkson was suspended. But his popularity and widespread support – even British Prime Minister David Cameron weighed in – suggested that the controversial Clarkson might be given yet another chance. The BBC put this to rest Wednesday when it sacked Clarkson and revealed the findings of its investigation. The report spelled out how Clarkson struck Tymon on the patio of a North Yorkshire (UK) hotel, leaving him with a bloodied, swollen lip. It was severe enough that the producer sought medical treatment. During and after the attack, Clarkson shouted expletives at Tymon and threatened to fire him. The noise carried into the hotel's dining room and even to a bedroom. Local police investigated the incident, but Tymon isn't pressing charges. The huge audience numbers, Clarkson's popularity and the high-octane excitement of Top Gear all melted away in the eyes of BBC director-general Tony Hall, who saw an attacker and a victim. "For me a line has been crossed," he said in a statement. "There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations." In that moment, Clarkson was the bad guy, though he was actually the one who reported it to the network and made repeated attempts to apologize to Tymon. He's also urged the media to leave the producer alone. Hall voiced regret in the statement that announced Clarkson's contract would not be renewed, but the BBC decided to move on. Rumors are swirling about possible replacements for Clarkson. The network says it wants to continue Top Gear in 2016 and is looking to air the rest of this season's episodes. Despite the controversy, the show has a global audience of 350 million viewers and is one of the BBC's most valuable properties. It's unclear what Clarkson's co-hosts, James May and Richard Hammond, will do, as their contracts were also reportedly up to be renewed.
