This is a 1965 Chevrolet custom truck that is on a 1979 Chevrolet 4x4 truck frame. This is the fancier model for the year and it is a custom. it has all the bells and whistles to it. This has a 305 high output engine in it combined with a 350 turbo transmission. It also has the good 205 transfer case in it as well. The motor has been rebuilt a few years ago and there is a stamp on the block to prove it. The transmission is also good. There was only 40,000 miles on this drive train before the rebuild. However I have removed the wiring harness in order to install the cab onto the frame so the truck will not start right now due to the lack of a wiring harness. that is an easy fix though and I can find a way to prove this truck runs if you purchase it. now to the body. This truck has the common rust issues but is in much better shape than most of them out there! needs new floor pans. also needs new rockers and the rear quarter of the front fenders (see pictures). the bed is rust free! just needs new wood. you can even re use the strips in the bed. there is a small crease on the top part of the bed on the passenger side but can be fixed easily. I have not mounted the bed to the frame yet as you can see it sits lower than the cab. I was going to wait til I got the wood put in it to mount it. Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.

2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season

Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.
