***************lifted Chevy K1500 Mud Truck With Title Street Legal************ on 2040-cars
Hollywood, Florida, United States
Update 6/7/2014- forgot the headlights are 8k HID and very bright, almost blinding, and the fuel filter was replaced 2 weeks ago. The truck will be sold as is where is, I've had requests to bring the truck places for a buyer, not going to happen. Its not a 15k street truck lifted its a mud truck that can be driven on the street but is not as fun as the pit. You can text me, come see it drive it around the block and make an offer OR you can someone to pick the thing up on a trailer or tow rig and take it home. I'm dropping registration this week. Update 6/6/2014 : i wasn't comfortable with the wheel adaptors/spacers on the front wheels so i took them off and while inspecting the left hub some of the studs looked sketchy. I replaced the left hub/bearing with a new heavy duty one from auto zone( $105) even though im selling the truck wanted it to be safe. The front tires are the 6 lug rollers i mentioned earlier. They are bald, i am including the spacer/adaptors so the new owner can do whatever you want. Just note those front tires are bald so I wouldn't go too far without changing them or a trailer. Sale or trade with cash on top. Clean title truck currently registered street legal 6" suspension lift 3" body lift 37" GOODYEAR HUMVEE tires on 8 lug alum rims 5.0 TBI with throttle spacer and chip, the motor appears to have been rebuilt but uncertain All fluids changed Trans was rebuilt less than 6 months ago with gm parts and a shift kit by aamco Rear end is from s 2500 series truck and has 373 gears, front is independant with new cv- joint and end link on driver side. 4x4 is electronic and works great. Truck is painted rustolium black and tailgate is airbrushed. New window visors, and 7 color remote neon under-body kit installed. A second set 37" tires on 6 lug front 8 lug rear wheels will go with the truck they are bald, good for driveway. A set of ladderbars will go with truck, they need new rubber. I have spent a lot of time and cash in the short time I've owned this beast, and d'ont have the time to play with it. She is street legal and registered as such. The first couple pics are with the x-tra tires, the photos next to the suburban in the driveway have the current wheel/tires and the pics with me on top are the truck when it had 39" boggers on it( they were not sold to me) |

2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
2023 Grand National Roadster Show Mega Photo Gallery | Hot rod heaven
Wed, Feb 8 2023POMONA, Calif. — From an outsider's perspective, it would be easy to assume that the Grand National Roadster Show has always been a Southern California institution. After all, it celebrates the diverse postwar car culture of the region — hot rods, lead sleds, lowriders, and more. However, the show had its roots in NorCal in 1950 when Al Slonaker and his hot rod club showed their custom cars at the Oakland Expo. The GNRS moved to Pomona, California, in 2004. By then it had grown exponentially and seen about a dozen more car customization trends come and go. However, the show and its centerpiece award, the America's Most Beautiful Roadster prize, celebrate what is perhaps the first of those trends: the American hot rod in its purest form. Today, in its 73rd year, the GNRS is the oldest indoor car show in America. Annually it welcomes 500-800 cars, gathered into special themes like Tri-Five Chevys or Volkswagen Bugs. At this year's show, which was last weekend, a special hall was dedicated to pickup trucks built between 1948-98, including mini-trucks, groovy camper bed conversions, and resto-mods. However, of all the vehicles presented, only nine are eligible for the America's Most Beautiful Roadster award. Winners get their names engraved on a 9-foot-tall perpetual trophy that was, according to The Ultimate Hot Rod Dictionary, the largest in the world when it debuted in 1950. Slonaker chose the word "roadster" initially because "hot rod" bore slightly negative outlaw connotations in 1950. Only American cars built before 1937 of certain body styles — roadsters, roadster pickups, phaetons, touring cars — are eligible, and they cannot have roll-down side windows. Cars in the running for the cup cannot have been shown anywhere else before their debut at the GNRS. Contestants for this accolade essentially build their cars to the a platonic ideal of a hot rod. This year the honors went to Jack Chisenhall of San Antonio, Texas, for his "Champ Deuce," a 1932 Ford Roadster. It's exactly what you picture when you think of a hot rod, but distilled to its absolute essence. Other standouts included "Green Eyes," a two-tone green 1959 Chevy El Camino with a heavily metal-flaked bed, "Blue Monday," a 1964 Buick Riviera lowrider, and a personal favorite, "Purple Reign," a purple and black 1951 Mercury. Cars may have started out as tools, but there aren't shows like this filled with custom refrigerators.
