THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST 68 C-10 PICKUP TRUCKS ON EBAY RIGHT NOW.  WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT IS A FULLY RESTORED 1968 CHEVROLET C-10 PICKUP TRUCK WITH A 383 STROKER ENGINE, AND A TURBO 400 TRANSMISSION. UNFORTUNATLY WE DO NOT HAVE ANY BUILD SPECS FOR THE RESTORATION BECAUSE THE TRUCK WAS TRADED IN AND THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT PROVIDE US WITH ANY DETAILS.  WE DID HOWEVER GO THROUGH THE TRUCK TOP TO BOTTOM, AND IF ITS NOT NEW ON THE TRUCK, IT HAS BEEN FULLY REFURBISHED.  THIS TRUCK COULD EASILY WIN ANY CAR SHOW THAT YOU WOULD TAKE IT TO.

THE TRUCK HAS 4 WHEEL DRUM BRAKES THAT ARE ADJUSTED PERFECTLY TO WHERE IT FEELS LIKE IT HAS DISC BRAKES.  THE TRUCK DOES HAVE A FUEL CELL IN THE BED BECAUSE THE IN CAB FUEL TANK WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH SPEAKERS AND A VERY NICE TRIM PANEL.

OVER ALL THIS TRUCK IS AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTY...ONE OF THE NICEST AROUND TO SAY THE LEAST.  THE PICTURES WILL TELL THE STORY OF HOW NICE AND CLEAN THIS CLASSIC REALLY IS!

PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS, I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM FOR YOU.

THANKS FOR LOOKING, AND PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS!

DUE TO THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS

This 93-car Iowa auction is like a Big 3 classic muscle museum

Tue, Aug 27 2019

Bill "Coyote" Johnson has been buying cars since high school and has amassed a collection totaling 113 vehicles, according to NBC 6 News. But time has changed his motivations and priorities, and he's decided to auction 93 of those cars, many of which are classic muscle from Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Plymouth and Pontiac. The megasale will take place Sept. 14, 2019, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. A 1969 Plymouth Road Runner infected Coyote with a love for Detroit muscle when he was just a teenager, and his desire quickly turned into an obsession. He's spent the past 40 years finding, buying and working on a variety of makes and models. Unlike some collectors, Coyote didn't discriminate against certain brands and has rides from each of the Big 3 automakers. Included in the auction are Camaros, Satellites, Super Bees, Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, Coronets, GTOs, Mustangs, Cutlasses and others. Possibly the most intriguing aspect of the auction is that all of these cars will be sold as-is with no reserve. Many of them will need work, depending on quality standards, but this seems like a golden opportunity to find a classic car without leaving a bank account in shambles.  The auctions are open for bidding online now, and the full auction will take place on September 14. Check out the full listings and bid at VanDerBrink Auctions.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
