I had to list it as a C-10 because ebay does not give a C-20 option.

Let's keep this as short as possible:

If you are looking for a resto-modified, lowered, lifted, color-changed, leathered-up, blinged-out pick-up with 24" chrome wheels and a stereo more powerful than the engine........... this is NOT your truck.

But if you are searching for a mostly original, unaltered, unabused, classic Chevy C-20, than you are looking at the right pick-up.

What we have here is an honest 1972 C-20 with a factory big block and WORKING factory A/C.
It originated in dry Eastern Washington and was used to haul around a pick-up Camper. That's the reason why it is equipped with front stabilizer, rear suspension leaf springs, heavy duty front shocks and camper mirrors. It also has two extra tanks on each side of the truck bed.

It is medium olive metallic with a white top. It was repainted many years ago and the paint still shows very nicely.
There is absolutely no rust on this truck and the rocker panels, cab corners and the truck bed are in excellent condition.
I added the brackets for a DrawTite 5th wheel hitch, but I never used it. The complete hitch assembly comes with the truck.

The interior is olive cloth and it was reupholstered with the original material about a year ago. It is like new again.

The dash has one very small crack (about 1 cm long).

The original green rubber floor shows some wear on the driver side.

The right door panel seems to be a darker green (instead of the olive green) and shows some scuffs.

There are a couple of small dents on the right door where the mirror is attached.

A tachometer was added to the steering column and it works.

The orig. AM radio is completely intact and plays fine.

A/C was just completely rebuilt, using the orig. housing of the compressor, and refilled with R12. It is freezing cold.

Since I collect mainly European classic cars, my in-depth knowledge about classic Chevrolets is unfortunately not great.

What I can tell you though, the power and the sound of this monster is unbelievable.
It has hooker headers, a "mild" cam and flowmasters.  It is the perfect "sleeper" truck.
It looks like the engine was rebuilt, since it runs absolutely flawlessly.
The Turbo 400 transmission also works perfectly.

This truck needs nothing and has no issues.  I would not hesitate to drive it across country if the cost of fuel was not a factor. LOL.
It has a clear Washington title in my name with 1972 YOM (year of manufacture) plates  which can stay with the truck.
It is smog exempt in California and most, if not all, other states.

Buttomline, it is 41 years old, has aged gracefully and brings a smile to your face every time you drive it.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:

GM announces net 220 job increase as Trump visits Michigan

Wed, Mar 15 2017

GM announced today that about 900 jobs would be added (or, importantly, retained) ahead of President Trump's arrival in Michigan, where he is expected to discuss his plan to roll back fuel economy standards. The timing of the announcement is almost certainly not coincidental, as appending it to a Trump visit gives it a higher profile and dovetails with the President's jobs agenda. It's less likely the decision itself was made for those reasons, but the free PR boost is a nice bonus. As for those 900 jobs themselves, they aren't all new jobs. The only net gain is approximately 220 jobs at the Romulus Powertrain Plant, which produces the 10-speed automatic transmission that's proliferating through the company's lineup. The 180 jobs at Flint Assembly and 500 jobs at Lansing Delta Township are retained jobs – that is to say, spots the company found for workers who would otherwise have been laid off. By the way, the Flint jobs will help with production of heavy-duty pickups, and the Lansing jobs are to produce the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. Finding jobs for manufacturing workers in the auto sector, whether new or retained, is admirable. No matter how GM couches it, the company has created or retained a total of 7,000 jobs this year, and its total reinvestment in US production is around $1 billion. But these decisions are business ones, not political ones – timing the announcements to make them seem inspired by economic policy, or the political situation, is simply smart PR. Plug In 2014: VIA makes the case for 'free' plug-in hybrid work vans, trucks

Fri, Aug 1 2014

If you're a fleet manager who's been waiting anxiously for the chance to buy a plug-in hybrid van from Via Motors, your wait is almost over. If you work for the right fleet, anyway. David West, the chief marketing efficer for VIA Motors, took AutoblogGreen for a ride around the San Jose Convention Center in a Via van sporting an Electric Blue paint job as part of the Plug In 2014 Conference this week and gave us an update on how things are coming along. The big news is that the Via PHEV van production is going to start by the end of September. Via can currently build two vans an hour at its production plant in Mexico, or about 16 a day and could easily double that. "That would get us to 20,000 a year with two full lines running," West said. "We have the capacity." "There is no way gas can compete with electric." – David West, Via Motors But they can't sell that many quite yet. By the end of December, around 350 Vans will be made, mostly for a $20-million program from the Department of Energy (DOE) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District that will see the vehicles used by fleets that will report energy data to the Idaho National Lab. Via is also finishing up CARB certification for both the van and the company's plug-in hybrid pick-up truck. About 50 percent of Via's technology in the truck will not need to be tested again, since it's the same as what's in the van, but things like crash tests will need to be done twice. Despite the progress, this is not where Via hoped it would be today. The bankruptcy of battery supplier A123, "took about a year off our timeline," West said. "It's been getting a little slow getting it to market, there have been some challenges, particuarly since we had the country's worst recession right in the middle of this wrap up, but it's inevitable in my mind. There is no way gas can compete with electric." Maybe that's why FedEx has expressed an interest in buying around 5,000 units, West said. FedEx already has some pilot vehicles, just like Verizon does, and PG&E wants to replace all of their gas trucks with electric vehicles, which would be another 3,000 sales, he said. Besides the fuel savings, vehicles like these, with easy on-site power generation, could also work wonders in post-disaster situations, he said, since they could replace the need for generators.
