Up for auction is my Factory 1966 Chevy 3/4 Ton 4X4 truck. It is in very very good shape. We have owned this truck for 19 years. We sold it one time about 15 years ago but bought it back around a year later and have worked on, drove and loved this Beast of a truck. It is Very Dependable. I don't care where you live, you can fly in and drive this truck home. I have recently drove the truck from near Wichita, KS to 40 miles North of the South Dakota state line, pulling my car trailer and then pulled a 1966 Impala ALL the way home. It ran perfect and I averaged 12mpg pulling the car.
My fathers health is very bad and it has always been my mom's truck. She is in her mid 50's and she doesn't drive it very much anymore and we could use the money for medical bills and her 1954 Bel-air.
The truck is a 355 10:1 comp., .502 - 292 degree comp cam with matching comp. valve springs, 1.940-1.52 valves with a triple angle valve job. It has a Holley Street Dominator intake, Holley 650 double pumper carb., headers, 3 inch exhaust, Flowmaster's, a manual trans, 4:11 gears front and back, divorce mount Rockwell transfer case. All drive shaft's have been rebuilt. I spent $1250 at Atlas Spring & Axle in Wichita, KS, having all new springs, spring hangers, shackles, U-bolts, and grease zerks. It has a 3 inch body lift and rides on 37.5 12.5 Goodyear tires. It also has original factory Lock-outs that DO work perfectly! No issues with them at all!!!
Also new is the radiator, alternator and fuel pump. Mechanically the truck is great!!! The paint is bad and the wood in the bed needs redone. I have some plywood in the bed and put most things in the tool box, which is near new as well, which is Aluminum Diamond Plate. I also noticed after I took the pictures that a screw fell out of the bottom of the heater control on the dash, that is why it is not flush in the pics.
But over all it's a good truck! And I pray that it goes to another good home!!!
Please ask ALL questions Prior to Bidding! If you want any additional pics please let me know Exactly what you are wanting and an email address to send them to.
I do require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction ending through Paypal and the remaining balance to be paid in full within 5 days of auction ending, UNLESS prior arrangement's have been made, PRIOR TO AUCTION ENDING!
I do want to address the recent Negative feedback's I have received. Shortly after listing those parts, we was dealt some very tragic & devastating news about my father's health. As I was staying in the hospital with him as we did not know if he would make it or not. I stayed in contact with those buyers and let them know that I would get the parts sent out as soon as possible or give them a FULL refund. Most of the buyer's had a heart and completely understood and worked with me, but there was a few that just didn't care or have a heart at all and even after receiving their refund, they continued on to give me a negative feedback. And in regards to the negative feedback on the Nova I sold, I was completely upfront about everything with the car. I showed all issues in pics and described in my ad. I stated in my ad that the Nova was NOT a show car and needed to be completely restored inside and out and the person that purchased it obviously has never owned an old car and expected to get a completely brand new restored hotrod. And that person also tried saying that it had a crack in the block and I Never had a drop of problems with the motor as long as I owned the car! He waited over a month after the auction ended to leave the negative feedback. As you can tell that from the beginning of time that I've been selling on Ebay that I have received over 400 POSITIVE feedback and that's not dealing with JUNK! That is dealing with high-end OLD Hotrods! If there is absolutely anything that needs fixed or whatever on a vehicle, I completely describe it in full in my ad's and then also show in my pictures. And if the vehicle isn't the best, I practically give it away because I would feel extremely guilty selling it for more than it's worth & knowing better. I do not do business that way!!! I never have and never will! Please do give me a chance and all I ask is that if you have questions please ask ALL and ANY prior to bidding so there isn't any miscommunications! And if you are extremely serious and think you are going to be the winning bidder, stay in contact with me through the end! We can exchange phone numbers in an email through Ebay, so everything can be tracked and then email and talk on the phone. I really do like to encourage those that want to be that winning bidder to contact me and visit with me on the phone. I have NO problem answering all questions!
And finally if you have any questions ask them prior to bidding! Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!!

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]
Sun, 03 Feb 2013The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.
Here's why automakers roll out those Texas-themed pickup trucks
Thu, Sep 29 2016Every year, automakers with a full-size truck link make a big show of the Texas State Fair, usually involving a reveal of a new model. Sometimes they show a whole new truck, and other times a special edition centered on the Lone Star state. While some people might write this off as a quirk of the industry, others might be wondering, "What's the big deal with Texas?" As it turns out, part of the big deal with Texas is big truck sales. According to Dave Sullivan, product analysis manager at AutoPacific, Texas buys more trucks than any other state in the country. It's not a small margin either. Edmunds.com, one in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. The state also accounts for 15 percent of the country's large truck sales, which is more than twice that of California, the second largest truck market in America. Even when you break down sales only in Texas, trucks are a huge piece of the pie - Sullivan says that a quarter of new vehicle sales in Texas are trucks. One in five trucks sold in the US are sold in Texas. But it's not just sales that make truck builders give attention to Texas. As Sullivan explained, "Pickups are life in Texas." Both he and Hugh Milne, marketing and advertising manager for the Chevy Silverado line, said that trucks are key fixtures in Texas society, as both work trucks and luxury vehicles (or Texas Cadillacs as Milne called them). Milne said Texas is so important in the truck market that if you want to be successful in the rest of the country, "you've got to be successful in Texas." As for the State Fair, it has become a prime location for reveals in part because of the importance of the Texas market and because of how big the fair is. Milne also revealed that the State Fair also hosts its own auto show, so it's an ideal venue for a vehicle introduction. So there you have it. Why do truck builders obsess over Texas? It's because Texas obsesses over trucks. When you have one market that loves your product that much, you give it the attention it deserves.
