Hi, Here is my uncle's nice 1970 Chevy regular cab short bed pickup truck that has spent all its life here in dry California and has little to no rust. Body is very straight and has all the trims on it mostly all in pretty amazing shape. It looks pretty much classic stock from the outside but it has gotten a young 5.3L LS engine and automatic tranny from a 2005 Silverado donor with about 60k miles. Turns on very well and purrs very nicely but roars when you hit the gas and tear down the road. It has an Edelbrock timing control module manifold and carb along with its fuel pump. This truck has power disc brakes in front and drums in the back, power steering, sliding rear window, has its original factory tilt steering column, it is an A/C truck but haven't gotten to finishing up connecting the new generator from the 2005 to the 1970 hoses. Has a very nice wood bed, the tailgate and wheel well buckets great with no dents and looks like this truck was never ever loaded with anything. It has been upgraded with power windows and locks done very nicely. Also has a hidden tow hitch behind the rear license plate. Tires have very good thread left, front about 90% rear about 80%. Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally

Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
