I am selling my 1963 Chevy truck. I purchased this truck from a dealer in florida one year ago. Since I have owned it I have upgraded the electrical system to a complete new harness, replace belts and most hoses, I also put a new steering gear box in it. I just removed the ugly old mirriors that were on it and shaved them out and repainted the doors. You can install your own mirriors if you want or I will do if for you when you come to pick up the truck. I personaly like the truck the way it is. I also just installed lowerd springs. 3 inches in the front and 5 in the back. The truck rides much better that it did on stock suspension. It still has plenty of clearance. Almost everyone of these trucks you see on ebay have these springs installed. The truck is a real nice driver. It is not a show car but gets alot of attencion. I have 4 other hot rods. 49merc, 56chevy truck,59Belair,47 dodge pickup and this truck turns just as many heads. I bought it to use for my construction company but have decided to by Van instead. The engine is a 350 with a 350 transmission. It cruizes on the hwy at 2,000 rpm at 65-70. I don't know the rear end gears. I did not build this truck like the other cars I own. It has power windows, steering and brakes. I have included pictures of the underside of the truck. Paint in good condition but it again is not a show car. Truck is solid as you can see. There are only a couple of things that do not work correctly, Gas gauge does not work. Has new harness and sending unit, The shift indicator does not line up on the colum perfectly, one gauge needs a new light bulb. Brakes squeel a bit but they have plenty of pad and rears have been cleaned and adjusted. Other than those minor issues the truck needs nothing. Just jump in and drive! I am selling the truck at a very low reserve. If you bid intend on purchasing it. I you have questions please email or call me 443 994 5927 (MR. Ashley Thompson) LOL have to put the MR. There is a $500 deposit if you are the highest bidder. Please contact me at close of auction.
This truck is perfect for someone wants to get in the Hot Rod scene and not spend $20.000 plus!

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015
Mon, 25 Feb 2013General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
