I have a 1985 Chevy C10 up for grabs. This was a project of mine that I just grew tired of. The truck runs great just needs a little more tuning and it would run perfect. Only thing really left to do on the truck is cosmetic things. Let me give you a list of the pros and cons about the truck.

CONS:
1. The truck needs to be painted
2. There is one small rust spot on the rear driver side fender
3. Interior needs to be redone. All the pieces are still in the truck, I would give the interior a 4/10
4. The truck rides like a tank because it wasn't lowered properly

PROS:
1. Fresh 350 that I just did a TPI swap on
2. Just installed a rebuilt 700r4 to help with the gas mileage (replaced the th350)
3. Mild cam
4. Long tube headers that run into single chamber mufflers that dump before the axle
5. All new stereo equipment from the CD player to the 2 new JL audio subs behind the seat
6. HID headlights
7. Phantom grille
8. 18in chrome rims (they are showing signs of wear)
9. New fender

I'm pretty sure that I'm forgetting something but if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Payment will be paid in full within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle. Seller will not ship.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.
