DOES NOT INCLUDE WINCH & PTO, but you can add $350 and keep them.  I have a guy that will pay me $350 for them, but you can have first crack if you win the truck.  As a result, I have lowered my reserve.

This is a C-20, not a C-10.  Ebay did not give the C-20 as an option, so that's why it says C-10.

I bought this truck from the city of Lorain at an auction.  It was used by the parks dept to pull a box to drag baseball fields.  It was only used in the local area and that is why the mileage is so low.  It was parked inside and not used during the winter time, which is why the body is so clean.  It has dents and dings and needs a restoration, but it's a very nice candidate for that & is super solid.

Although it runs nice, i recommend taking it home on a trailer - I have only driven it a very short distance, so I wouldn't trust it until you looked it over good first.  This truck is extremely solid.  It only has minor surface rust on the frame and underneath - not heavy scale. I will add a few more photos in the next day or two, to show the areas that need attention.  It looks like a brand new aluminum radiator was installed fairly recently along with upper and lower radiator hoses.  The tires are pretty decent and have well over 50 percent tread.

I'm going to let the pictures do the talking.  Ask questions before bidding.  I am NOT interested in trading anything.  It has a 350 engine & it has a 4 speed with first gear being granny gear.  If you want any pictures of a specific area, give me a clear description of what you are looking for and an e mail address to send the picture to.

I have set the reserve at a very reasonable $2,500.  I believe a truck as solid as this is worth far more, but I would rather just get rid of it - i have too many vehicles.  You won't find too many old trucks in this condition without going out west, so if you are from the midwest, factor into your bid, the shipping cost that you may save.

$200 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours or I will offer it to the next highest bidder.  This is to cover my ebay fees if you don't follow through and i have to relist.  Everybody likes to bid, but people don't like to follow through with paying.  DON"T bid unless you have the money and plan to pick it up.  NO EXCUSES.

Cash on pickup.  I will be going on a 3 week vacation starting May 8th, so you need to pay and pickup before that or you will be waiting until after the 4th of July.

I will NOT end the auction early.  If you want it, BID.

GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.

Smaller Cars Endure Big Problems On Crash Test

Wed, Jan 22 2014

In a crash test of 11 of the smallest cars on the market, only one vehicle received an acceptable rating. The rest received marginal or poor ratings in the study, providing evidence that supports a widely held notion that smaller cars are among the least safe on the road. No other vehicle group has performed as poorly on a new crash test than these mini cars, says the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the nonprofit group that conducted the testing. The latest results of which were released Wednesday. The Chevrolet Spark was the only car earning an overall "acceptable" rating on the small-front overlap test, and even that vehicle had its shortcomings, IIHS said. "Small lightweight vehicles have an inherent safety disadvantage," said Joe Nolan, the senior vice president for vehicle research at IIHS. "That's why it's even more important to choose one with the best occupant protection. Unfortunately, as a group, minicars aren't performing as well as other vehicle categories." The Mazda2, Kia Rio, Toyota Yaris and certain Ford Fiesta models all received "marginal" overall grades on the test, while the Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Versa, Toyota Prius C, Hyundai Accent, Fiat 500 and Honda Fit all earned "poor" ratings. Results from these sub-compact cars fare much worse than vehicles sized just a little bit bigger, IIHS said. Among 17 cars evaluated in the small category, five earned "good" ratings and five more earned "acceptable." Only introduced a year ago, the small-front overlap test has quickly become a key indicator of differences in automotive safety. IIHS introduced it as a way to replicate what happens when the front corner of a vehicle collides with a tree or utility pole at 40 miles per hour. In the real world, these sorts of accidents are more dangerous than others, in part because they bypass the front-end crush zones on most cars. Without a grade of acceptable or better, they cannot qualify for the IIHS' overall Top Safety Pick+ honor, given annually to the safest models on the market.

Chevy's low-cost pedestrian avoidance to debut on 2016 Malibu

Tue, Jul 28 2015

The mainstreaming of safety technologies that began on luxury vehicles will get a big boost from General Motors later this year. The General says it plans to offer 22 driver assistance systems across its product portfolio of 2016 models, starting with the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu - the one that we know will keep tabs on teenagers for the benefit of parents. Pedestrian avoidance will be another of its available options. Instead of kitting the sedan out with numerous and expensive radar arrays, the GM system uses the camera mounted next to the rearview mirror that is already used for the lane-keeping function. New software lets it detect pedestrians, and when it detects a potential collision with one, it can alert the driver and brake autonomously if the driver doesn't react. Eventually, engineers want to give it the ability to do the same with cyclists. Because it uses existing hardware updated with new code, GM says the application costs "a few hundred dollars." GM demonstrated the Front Pedestrian Braking preventing a crash with a dummy pedestrian at speeds up to 15 miles per hour. Automotive News reports that it will reduce the severity of impact up to 40 miles per hour, but "may not be of much use in collisions at higher speeds." That feature will also join the options list of the Cadillac CT6. The press release below has more on GM's driver tech soon on the way. Safety engineers will develop and test these and other safety technologies for products around the world at GM's new, 52-acre Active Safety Test Area at its Milford Proving Ground near Detroit. The $14 million facility officially opened Friday. "Our comprehensive safety strategy of helping customers before, during and after a crash continues," said Jeff Boyer, vice president of GM Global Vehicle Safety.
