I have a very nice daily driverable suv k5. This is of course the year that has the full convertible top, that comes off.  I have a folder full of the original documentation for this vehicle. It comes with the original spare keys, protecto-plate, window sticker, sales invoice, owners manuals, along with other paperwork. This is a pretty solid truck as you can see. the floors and panels are great as you can see, glass is all good. This is a daily driverable truck and looks good , still sporting most of original paint, so its fading. In other words, its not a show truck, its a pretty good suvivor. Previous owner advised that passenger door had a ding that he repainted but did not get the paint to match completely, if you get five feet up, you can see the slight color difference barely. It comes with the 350 engine, rare tilt steering column, original push button radio(not working),  4bbl carb., 350 automatic transmission, power steering, power front disc brakes, and 4x4 model. The top on it is in good shape also, the pics show where the glass top had some filling in the build joints flaking off, they were just sealed but not painted yet. Previous owner kept it in dry buildings with top off and rarely drove it, just to the beach sometimes. Ac is there but not connected neither is the heater,  had not had the time to recharge ac and replace the leaking heater core. Those dont take much to do, I have other rare toys I am restoring between limited time from work. Wife says she getting tired of it taking up her carport and us driving it rarely. Just put on new tires again, others sat up and started cracking from age, even though I bought them new also. I am the 3rd owner, 1 owner over 30 years and 2 owner several years until me. Clear title in my name now. Again little small blemishes here and there but nothing more than what you will expect in a nice survivor vehicle. Things like a small paint chips or scratches here and there. Long story short, its a nice toy to drive topless or just drive when you need to. If I have missed anything you are concerned with, please let me know, as you have limited space to type on ad. Please get permission from your wife or husband before bidding. Communication is important, so feel free to call me if you need to, I promise not to bite. If you have less than 10 feedback, please call me before bidding. Vehicle is for sale locally, so auction may end at any time.  Call Shun 832 722-2284

The best Super Bowl car commercials from the last 5 years

Wed, Jan 28 2015

If you've been dipping into the Autoblog feed over the past days and weeks, you wouldn't even have to be a sports fan to know the Super Bowl is coming up. Automakers have been teasing their spots for the big game, dropping them days early, fully-formed onto the Internet and otherwise trying to amp up the multi-million-dollar outlays that they've made for air time on the biggest advertising day of the year. And, we're into it. The lead up to the Super Bowl is almost akin to a mini auto show around these parts; with automakers being amongst the most prolific advertisers on these special Sundays. The crop of ads from 2015 looks as strong as ever, but we thought we'd take a quick look back at some of our favorite spots from the last five years. Take a look at our picks – created from a very informal polling of Autoblog editors and presented in no particular order – and then tell us about your recent faves, in Comments. Chrysler, Imported From Detroit Chrysler, Eminem and a lingering pan shot of "The Fist" – it doesn't get much more Motown than 2011's Imported From Detroit. With the weight of our staffers hailing from in and around The D, it's no wonder that our memories still favor this epic Super Bowl commercial (even though the car it was shilling was crap). Imported really set the tone for later Chrysler ads, too, repeated the formula: celebrity endorsement + dramatic copy + dash of jingoism = pulled car-guy heartstrings. Mercedes-Benz, Soul teaser with Kate Upton One of our favorite Super Bowl commercials (and yours, based on the insane number of views you logged) didn't even technically air during the game. Mercedes-Benz teased its eventual spot Soul with 90-seconds worth of Kate Upton threatening to do her best Joy Harmon impression. (Teaser indeed.) It doesn't win points for cleverness, use of music, acting, or any compelling carness, but it proved that Mercedes' advertisers knew how to make a splash in the Internet Age. And, hey, it's still classier than every GoDaddy commercial. Kia, A Dream Car. For Real Life Like the Mercedes video above, the initial draw here is a pretty lady; in this case the always stunning Adriana Lima. But this Kia commercial really delivers the extra effort we expect while scarfing crabby snacks and homemades, too. First of all, Motley Crue. Second, a cowboy on a bucking rhino. Enjoy yet again.

Motor Trend puts Chevy Camaro Z28 and Porsche 911 GT3 Head 2 Head

Mon, Dec 29 2014

Motor Trend admits, "This is an unfair comparison." But that doesn't make it any less fun to watch when they pit a Camaro Z/28 against the Porsche 911 GT3. The former has a 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque shifted through a six-speed manual. The latter has a 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp and 324 lb-ft shifted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Yet those are only the little disparities – the big disparities are mass and money: the Camaro weighs 3,882 pounds and costs $76,150 as-tested, the Porsche weighs 3,267 pounds and costs $145,785. But they're both about hardcore performance, so MT takes them out on the street, to the drag strip, to the parking lot for figure eights and a skidpad test, and finally to Big Willow for Randy Pobst to give his professional assessment. Remember when a lotta people spent a lotta time debating Pirates vs. Ninjas? This is like that, only it's the "haul-ass good-time car" vs. the "track surgeon." Enjoy the debate in the video.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.
