1972 Chevrolet Short Bed C10 w/ a 2006 Silverado 5.3(lm7)/4l60e

This is a great driver quality truck you can get in and drive anywhere. It has Power Steering, Power Brakes and Air Conditioning (Vintage Air, Ice Cold). We've put 2500 miles on the truck since I did the  LS swap in the last Year and half. It runs and drives great in town and on the highway. The modern drive line gets great fuel millage. I took it on a 4 hour trip last summer doing 80 mph and got 20 mpg with the AC on. If you have any interest in the truck Please Come and Look & Drive it. You will not be disappointed.

LS Swap- New GM Muscle Car Oil Pan, LS1 Camaro Manifolds, Speedway LS mounts were welded in, New 3 Piece GM 6.0 covers (it is a 5.3 I just like the way the covers look) A new Dakota VHX Cluster ($850) made for 67-72  was installed. All gauges work great and are accurate. There is a DLC (Data Link Connector) under the dash so you can scan the engine and -trans out just like a modern car if you were ever to have any problems.

Body- I purchased the truck 2 years ago as a clean original truck. It was repainted 8-10 years ago the factory blue.  It is a driver quality paint job, It has some chips and scratches from driving it and enjoying it. It polishes up and shines great but is NOT a show quality paint job. We've installed a NEW grille, bumpers, and tailgate trim. Front and back glass were just replaced. Front windshield had a small crack in it from driving the truck. Interior is clean and in great shape. We did install new carpet.

Chassis-I lowered it with CPP Springs, 4" Front & 5" Rear. Installed a new front sway bar to improve handling. Sitting on 17" American Racing Torq Thrust with New Tires. Front Calipers, Hoses, Rotors and Pads were replaced along with Master Cyl and Rear Brake Shoes and Hardware Kit.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

Opel's version of the Chevy Bolt will confuse people at Paris Motor Show

Fri, Aug 26 2016

Two things are now official. First, Opel will reveal the Ampera-e, or the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt, at the Paris Motor Show in October. Second, General Motors has outdone itself in brand confusion, topping the Bolt/Volt ridiculousness. Opel isn't giving a single-charge range for the Ampera-e but the company is promising a "significantly longer range" than other electric vehicles. The Bolt is estimated to have a 200-mile range on the EPA scale, so whatever the Opel achieves on the European cycle will be done with the same batteries and motor as the Chevy. Opel is also looking to appeal to the auto enthusiasts with other factoids, which are basically just Bolt stats translated into metric. For instance, the Ampera-e will be able to go 0 to 50 kilometers per hour (which is 31 miles per hour to us Americans, but we're talking Europe here) in just 3.2 seconds. And for those looking to stay connected, as many as seven mobile devices can attached to the car's wireless hot spot. GM said in February that the European of the Bolt would be available across the pond next year, so the most recent bit of news isn't shocking. Still, General Motors continues to create confusion between all-electric Bolt and the extended-range plug-in Volt. It's already been reported that the Korean symbol and pronunciation of what is "B" in English is identical to the English "V," meaning that there is no difference between "Bolt" and "Volt" in that country (though there are no plans to sell the Bolt in South Korea as of yet). Now, in Europe, they're taking the name they used to use for the European of the Volt — Ampera — and merely adding an "-e" at the end of it. For those looking to be less confused, take a look at Opel's press release here. Europeans ask Chevy to bring Volt back to Europe

Fri, Aug 14 2015

A group of French fans is asking for a jolt of support from General Motors to get the 2016 Chevrolet Volt across the pond. The Association Amperistes et Amis des Vehicules Rechargeables is running a Change.org petition that currently has 383 signatures out of a goal of 500. While the attempt is admirable, it's probably going to take a lot more than several hundred people for the model to make a return to the continent after the poor showing of the Opel Ampera – first-gen Volt's European cousin. The group's major argument for bringing a version of the second-gen Volt to Europe is that consumers need "an intermediate choice between expensive or range-limited pure electric cars and plug-in hybrids with a miserable electric range." Furthermore, such a vehicle would prod the competition to produce similarly efficient electrified models. They also lavish praise on the abilities of the Ampera for its long EV driving range. The supporters aren't entirely kind to GM in the petition, though, and claim the company excluded the original car from marketing efforts there. The Ampera actually enjoyed a strong European launch with more orders than initially expected and briefly topped the best-sellers list among EVs there. It was even named 2012 European Car of the Year. Those halcyon days didn't last long, and by 2014 sales fell off to a trickle. The waning reception caused GM's decision not to introduce a version of the new 2016 Volt there or in Australia. Related Video:
