Hello everyone, I'm selling a beautiful 1971 GMC P/U SWB, It has Custom 20" Wheels the tires are 20x275/45 on the fronts and the rears are 20x285/50. with Front power disc brakes, Tinted windows, A real nice set of headers, dual exhaust, flow master mufflers, a STRONG running 350 with a RV cam and a 350 tranny. There is only about 20k the motor since the rebuilt. It also has a Eldabrock high rise manifold with a Eldabrock carb 650 cfm.The body and paint professionally done! This is not one of those back yard paint jobs. Its two tone with BRIGHT WHITE PEARL that actually is a tri-coat. and the 2nd color is called ELECTRIC GREEN PEARL, with professionally hand painted pin stripes. the product was all ppg and the stripes are one shot products. I had a bed liner sprayed in it also. This truck is a very very straight truck. Looks like you plug it into the wall it shines so good! It has new interior, New rear custom back up lights, New rear taillights, New custom marking lights front and rear, New custom front turn signal lights, a beautifully done rear roll pan with the license plate spot in it. u can tell by that the craftsmanship in the roll pan alone that this pick up is super nice. Like I said I'm real happy with everything that's done to this truck I have personally  enjoyed this pick up. Especially when I'm out driving it, its a real head turner and I always am getting compliments on it and if they can take picture with it. I have drove this pick up 400 plus miles one way and then back and never had a problem with it. Its very dependable!! If YOU win the bid you will absolutely love cruising it Friday night and putting it in a car show Saturday and win a trophy for best paint or peoples choice and just watching the people loving what you have at the show and shine. I know I did. thanks for looking and good Luck.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown

Wed, Jan 29 2014

They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you. Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
