1971 Chevrolet C/10 Custom Deluxe LWB. 107,000 original miles. 350 V8, Turbo 350 auto transmission, 342 posi rear end.

I bought this truck from the original owners son a couple years ago to use as my shop truck. The truck was bought new in Chattanooga Tn and has spent it's life in North Ga/Tn area. The guy I bought it from told me his dad had the engine rebuilt in the late 90's and that he had the Turbo 350 transmission rebuilt in 2008 after he got the truck from his dad. After buying the truck I started by freshing up the engine which was very clean on the inside. I replaced the seals and gaskets, added a Lunati 292/480 cam, Lunati lifters, Summit timing chain, new water pump, new fuel pump, MSD ignition, new plugs, and Accel wire's. I lowered the truck 4" in the front and 6" in the rear, replaced all four shocks. I had the rear wheels widened 2" inches and added 1975 Impala police dog dish centers. I put all new exhaust on with Vortex mufflers. I had the doors lettered to give it the true Shop Truck look.

Things I've replaced over the past couple of years. U-joints, Carrier bearing, brake master cylinder, brake pads and shoes, rotors, wheel bearings, motor mounts, alternator, ball joints, and door locks. I have the receipt's for all of the parts I replaced including the engine work.

This truck runs and drives very good. Everything works as it should (lights, gauges, wipers, ect). I have driven the truck to Nashville, Knoxville, and Pigeon Forge Tn. This is a truck you can buy and drive home. It has some rust in the cab corner's, bottom corner of the doors, and small pin holes in left rocker panel. The cab support's and the floor pan are rock solid. Over all the body is in good shape and has a great Patina look.

I added a Walk around video below.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

The story of the 2014 Chevrolet SS: "Luxury, power, refinement, handling"

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Not including the women and men who built it, the 2014 Chevrolet SS has only been seen in person by a piddling number of people - fewer humans than would fill the gymnasium at a high school volleyball game. Not including the men and women who built it, no one has driven it. Even so, it is already saddled with two controversies: the way it looks and the way it shifts.
First to that shifting. Did we love the last Americanized Holden, the awesomely sportsome Pontiac G8 GXP, and its six-speed manual? Of course. Do we wish the SS came with a six-speed manual? Of course. But we'd like a toboggan to come with a manual transmission. We'd put a manual transmission on a weasel if we could because we're just wired that way; if it moves, it should come with a stick and a clutch. Or at least the option.
Let's climb down off the ledge, though. We haven't driven the SS and we have no idea how good (or not) the automatic is. And the Hobson's Choice in transmissions when it comes to sport sedans like the BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and Jaguar XFR-S and, oh yeah, cars-that-really-should-have-manuals like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R and Porsche 918 and every single Lamborghini and Ferrari, for instance, hasn't stopped us from enjoying what is clearly the gruesome, dual-clutched demise of Western automotive civilization. Because in spite of our ululations at the dying of the six-speed light, we understand.
