1969 C10, with a 68 front cap. Let me start out by saying that this truck was professionally built by a Rod Shop out of Texas. Everything on the truck is either brand new or redone, no expense spared, with a total cost of building it over 65K. The truck has a custom Tube chassis, it has all Air ride technologies suspension, the best that money can buy. The truck has a ride leveling system on it, when you first crank the truck, it automatically raises itself to ride height to where you don't have to play with buttons. But if you do want to adjust it any their is a digital control mounted to the dash in easy reach of the driver. The truck has a 12 bolt rear with 3:73 gears a triangular rear suspension. The truck rides on a new set of 17's and 20's American racing wheels, with new tires. The motor in the truck is a custom built big block 454 that is backed by a store bought turbo 400 transmission, that all runs on pump gas. The motor is all new less that 100 miles on it, 79 in the  truck and then run time on a engine stand. The engine bay of the truck is finished out in all gloss to shine just like the exterior of the truck. Other features under the hood are, March pulleys, Vintage A/c (Ice Cold Air out of the factory a/c vents), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Be Cool Aluminum Radiator, Twin electric fans, ( truck does not have any issues with temp), Jet Hot Coated Headers, and 2 1/2 inch Flow Master exhaust. The exterior of the truck is finished in two tone gun metal gray and silver. The truck has a steel 2 inch cowl hood, front and rear roll pans, shaved mirrors, Shaved trim, even the gas filler neck has been cut down to get the cap flush with the gasket to give it a cleaner look. A ton of man hours have gone into this truck to get it laser straight with great gap space. Even the Door Jams have been two toned to match the exterior, nothing was over looked on this truck. The truck has several layers of clear so that a person doesn't fill the tap line where it is two toned. The bed of the truck has been finished in Rhino Lining that is color matched to match the gun metal. The floor of the truck has a carpeted pad, with the Air Ride System being hidden in a chrome box at the front of the bed. The interior of the truck is just as stunning as the rest of the truck, two tone leather bucket seats with a center console that folds up if one wants to ride a third person or child. The truck has a Lecarra Leather rapped steering wheel, mounted to a tilt column. The gauges in the truck are from Haneline. The truck also has a CD player and billet vintage air controller as well as power one pieces windows. The truck has only 79 miles on it since being built, most of which has come since I have gotten it. The truck was a trailer queen. It was a multi show winner, taking home best of, best paint, and countless other awards. Since I got it I've actually driven the truck and enjoyed it a little and still shown it. The under side of the truck has a light coat of rhino lining to protect it, with all the suspension pieces, frame, and everything else being painted, which still shows great. This truck is the best riding and driving anything that I've ever had with air ride, certainly doesn't beat you to pieces or ride ruff, really rides like a brand new Cadillac, truly shocking when I got in it the first time to take it down the road.  This truck is going to make someone an amazing truck to add to their collection, or for someone looking for that great driver that will win them first place. Truly just turn the a/c on and go. Everything on the truck works with no issues. Really one might just fly in and drive it home. The truck is for sale locally and is subject to be taken off if sold. The truck is also sold as is with no warranty. If you have a questions about the truck please fill free to ask and I will gladly answer them to the best of my ability. A 25% deposit is due within 3 days of the auctions end and the balance within 7 more when the truck is to be picked up or arrangements are made for the truck to be shipped. Thanks and God Bless Kody, 251-454-5455

Best and Worst GM Cars

Thu, Apr 7 2022

Oh yes, because we just love receiving angry letters from devoted Pontiac Grand Am enthusiasts, we have decided to go there. Based on a heated group Slack conversation, the topic came up about the best and worst GM cars. First of all time, and then those currently on sale, and then just mostly a rambling discussion of Oldsmobiles our parents and grandparents owned (or engineered). Eventually, three of us made the video above. Like it? Maybe we can make more. Many awesome GM cars are definitely going unmentioned here, so please let us know your bests and worsts in the comments below. Mostly, it's important to note that this post largely exists as a vehicle for delivering the above video that dives far deeper into GM's greatest hits and biggest flops, specifically those from the 1980s and 1990s. What you'll find below is a collection of our editors identifying a best current and best-of-all-time choice, plus a worst current and worst-of-all-time choice. Comprehensive it is not, but again, comments. -Senior Editor James Riswick Best Current GM Vehicle Chevrolet Corvette We were flying by the seats of our pants a bit in this first outing and my notes were similarly extemporaneous. When it came time to tie it all together on camera, I failed spectacularly. Thank the maker for text, because this gives me the opportunity to perhaps slightly better explain my convoluted reasoning. I chose the C8 Corvette because it's simply overwhelmingly good, and it's merely the baseline from which this generation of Corvette will be expanded.  While the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (more on that in a minute) is an amazing snapshot of GM's current performance standing and its little sibling so enraptured me that I went out and bought one, their existence is fleeting. Corvette will live on; forced-induction Cadillac sport sedans, not so much. So while all three are amazing machines when viewed in a vacuum, the Corvette stands above them as both a reflection of GM's current performance credentials and a signpost of what is to come. So, given the choice between the C8 and the 5V-Blackwing right now, I'd choose the C8. In 10 years, when the Blackwing is no longer in production and Corvette is in its 9th generation? Well, that might be a different story. Now, just pretend I said something even remotely that coherent when we get to the part of the video where I try to make an argument for the 5-V Blackwing as best GM car I've ever driven. Or just laugh at me while I ramble incoherently.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.
