1966 Chevrolet C10 Short Bed All Origional Patina Rat Rod 1965 1964 1967 1968 on 2040-cars
Easley, South Carolina, United States
Chevrolet Short Bed Custom Cab Big Back Glass C10 With A Good Patina- This is one of the best unrestored 66 c10s your prob going to find. All origional and everything works except speedo it went out about a month and 100 miles ago at 98,498 origional documented miles it's even on my title saying "actual miles." This 3 owner truck has very very little rust maybe 1/10th of your normal c10s just an awesome body, a synchronized 3 speed one the column that shifts like it's supposed to with no slop or stacked gears, a 6 cyl that runs like a top, origional wood bed, origional owners manual, origional invoice where the truck was purchased, origional inspection plate, clear title with miles documented. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. I will continue to drive it to truck meets and work occasionally till its sold. It has only been painted once in the 70s and is mostly origional so there are some dents (look on right cab corner about half way up cab), scratches, dings, the primer on the fender will wipe/sand off to reveal origional paint, and a very very small oil leak as would be imagined for a unrestored 50 year old vehicle. The truck came factory with the chrome bumpers, custom cab, and bbw. All the trim is in good shape and pans are great. I've tried to be upfront and picture everything I know about. Bid with confidence knowing I didn't take far away pics to make my truck somthing it's not. Good luck and thanks for bidding call with questions (864) 650-6276

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1
Mon, 13 Jan 2014
The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
GM execs fired over fraudulent India emissions testing
Mon, 29 Jul 2013General Motors hadn't had a recall in India since 1995. That changed when it was discovered that certain employees were playing tricks with local emissions testing in order to ensure passing grades for engines. More than ten GM Powertrain employees in India and the US have been let go over the ensuing emissions flap, including Sam Winegarden, VP of global engine engineering, a man who has been with the company since 1969, leading development of some marquee powerplants.
According to Automotive News, an internal investigation revealed that employees "violated testing procedures," sometimes swapping specially prepared low-emissions engines during testing regimes for the Chevrolet Tavera SUV equipped with the 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter engines. Employees were also manipulating weights in order to get vehicles placed into different emissions categories. The discovery has led to GM recall the 114,000 Taveras produced over an eight-year period and halting their production and sale.
The Economic Times of India reports that the issue is due to "a faulty component." GM has developed a solution to the issue, and once it is validated in testing and approved by the Indian authorities, the recalled vehicles will be fixed at dealers and production will resume.
