Your looking at a 1965 Chevy C-10 Pickup that has been heavily modified. The truck is now on a 1973 Blazer chassis, with front disc brakes, power steering, 350sb, Dana 44 front axle with hub locks, GM 12 bolt with a spool, 4 speed transmission.  I just installed new floorpans, new body bushings, and new suspension bushings.  We also just got done with 4 linking the rear end, and this truck handles like a dream off road.  The 4 link soaks up any and all ruts, bumps, and holes.  The rear axle has been moved back from the stock position to have great departure angles.  The rear was left high, as I planned to add 6" leaf springs in the front and never got around to it.  It has 4" rancho springs in the front now, all with brand new bushings.  Truck also has brand new motor mounts, new plug wires.

This truck does have some body rust,. but not as bad as it may look.  The paint job has been roughed up, and faux rust has been painted on to make it look worse then it really is.  Again, this is not a rust bucket,.. only rust is on the body and there is not as much as it seems.

I am selling the truck with the 33" tires (15" rims) for the opening bid price.  The buy it now, will include the 39" tires pictured, BUT ONLY WITH THE BUY IT NOW or a willing bid of over $6000.  The truck also comes with a Western snow plow, and works great.  Also comes with 3 extra 15" wheels.

This truck is not a daily driver, it is a toy meant to be played with in the mud and snow.  This truck will go just about anywhere you want to go offroad, it is a true beast.  The truck runs and drives fine, but could use a little carb cleaning or even maybe a new carb.  The motor is all stock, with the quadrajet, except I added headers.  It pops a little, but thats because it really needs the carb gone through.  A new carb and intake, and this 350 would scream!!  The engine does not have many miles on it.

This truck is ready to go.. nothing to do but jump in an find some mud.

The only reason I am selling, is I want to get a larger Military truck to play with. Either a 2 1/2 ton, or 5 ton Military truck. I am open to all offers though,.. we can work something out.

If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:

GM seeks national mandate for zero-emissions cars

Fri, Oct 26 2018

DETROIT — General Motors says it will ask the federal government for one national gas mileage standard, including a requirement that a percentage of auto companies' sales be zero-emissions vehicles. Mark Reuss, GM's executive vice president of product development, said the company will propose that a certain percentage of nationwide sales be made up of vehicles that run on electricity or hydrogen fuel cells. GM says a nationwide program modeled on such a requirement in California could result in 7 million electric vehicles, or EVs, on U.S. roads by 2030. California wants 15.4 percent of vehicle sales by 2025 to be EVs or other zero emission vehicles. Nine other states, including Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York, have adopted those requirements. In January, California Governor Jerry Brown set a target of 5 million zero-emission vehicles in California by 2030. The Trump administration criticizes California's ZEV mandate, saying it requires automakers to spend tens of billions of dollars developing vehicles that most consumers do not want, only to sell them at a loss. Reuss told reporters that governments and industries in Asia and Europe "are working together to enact policies now to hasten the shift to an all-electric future. It's very simple: America has the opportunity to lead in the technologies of the future." A national mandate also would create jobs and reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and "make EVs more affordable," Reuss added. GM, the nation's largest automaker, will spell out the request Friday in written comments on a Trump administration proposal to roll back Obama-era fuel economy and emissions standards, freezing them at 2020 levels instead of gradually making them tougher. Under a regulation finalized by the Environmental Protection Agency at the end of the Obama administration, the fleet of new automobiles would have to get 36 miles per gallon by 2025, 10 mpg higher than the current requirement. But the Trump administration's preferred plan is to freeze the standards starting in 2021. Administration officials say waiving the tougher fuel efficiency requirements would make vehicles more affordable, which would get safer cars into consumer hands more quickly. GM on Thursday said it doesn't support the freeze, but wants flexibility to deal with consumers' shift from cars to less-efficient SUVs and trucks.

New auto loans could soon extend out to 84 months

Sun, Apr 22 2018

Cars and trucks are more expensive than ever before. In order to boost sales and help consumers afford new vehicles, automakers are offering longer and longer terms for auto loans. This past week, Bloomberg reported that FCA's Ram Trucks division is currently offering the longest loans. Some stretch to 73 months. Jeep, Fiat and Chevy aren't far behind. More noteworthy is that we'll likely soon see lenders moving from 73-month to 84-month loans. That's seven years worth of interest. More than two-thirds of US auto sales come from light trucks like the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500. The average transaction price of a new vehicle is well over $30,000. It's not difficult to spec out a heavily-optioned truck up to $60,000. Vehicles depreciate from the moment they roll off a dealer lot, and these six or seven-year loans could hurt consumers and lenders both in the long run. The U.S. Senate voted last week to kill rules that would prevent discriminatory auto lending. These Obama-era guidelines were meant to curtail lenders who offered higher loans based on race, religion, sex or national origin.
