I am not the owner of this truck.(Listing for a friend) This Chevy pick-up is a very restoreable antique or drive as is. It runs good! It has a 1984 305 Engine with only 30,000 miles. Tires are in good shape. The gages except for the fuel gage(works) are idiot lights---There is a set of after market gages mounted on the lower dash. The cab corners, Rocker panels inside and outside, floor pans & lower fenders both sides should have metal replaced. Can get all new metal that it needs for $350.00. (LMC Magazine on line) & Quandts at Iuka, Il. about one mile East on Hwy. 50. The bed has a sheet of plywood and 2X4"s on top of that. I am assuming the original bed is bad. The metal strips for the original bed can be purchased locally here for $6.00 each. Look the pictures over carefully. Remember, this is not a perfect 63---if it was, it would'nt start at $1700.00. Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices
Mon, 21 Oct 2013The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.
