Hello to all ebayers, PLEASE READ.....

.....up for your consideration and/or bid is my other 1984 Chevrolet Blazer.  This is the next to the last generation of the FULL SIZE Blazer that only came in 2 doors long before the term SUV was common place.  The motor is a 1973 Chevrolet 350 Monte Carlo engine that runs good, low mileage of approximately 15,000 miles on rebuilt motor in (1995) and of course burns no oil.  Could probably use a tune up from sitting in storage and being started/ used little over the years.   The transmission and rear-end (differential) are all original and have never been rebuilt or out of the Blazer.   I've owned the Blazer since 1998 and purchased it for a daily driver for the winter months here in Maine.  In 2003 I purchased a new Edellebrock carburetor, also new then,...a water pump, fuel pump, alternator, inner-liners, front fenders, doors, tail gate, dual exhaust, dual front shocks,(rare) replaced rubber cab mounts along with the bolts and washers, inner and outer rockers.  The Blazer would make a great "fixer-upper", restoration project or an excellent parts Blazer, should you need Blazer parts or a woods "buggie".  The frame is very solid and in excellent condition with just surface rust, no bad spots or structural issues of any kind.   The last time I started the Blazer was early July of this year,...2014.  The motor oil and antifreeze are clean and at the full level with no leaks.  The running gear all works fine when parked, and the Blazer currently moves around with ease on a fully free-rolling chassis.  All the tires are 31" X 10.5" X 15,...hold air and stay up with no problem.  The exterior sheet metal all around is pretty decent, there are some small areas of surface rust "here and there",...the worst sheet metal rust is the floor braces (see pictures) along with some rust threw of the rear cargo floor area, which is very much typical of all full size Blazers used in winter-salt/ calcium-chloride regions of the country.   The body mount braces up front are in bad condition and allowed the body to start dropping. The Blazer has the complete set of original rally rims, trim rings and center caps (less one center cap missing on drivers side front) which are increasingly hard to come by as of late years.

I've stated all that I know about this Blazer as factual as possible.  Due to the age and amount of sitting for years, this Blazer does not come with any guarantees or warranties expressed or implied and is sold as is where is.  For the winning bidder I offer FREE delivery BUT only if you are local and/ or up to only 20 miles away.   If you are 21-100 miles from the Blazer I offer delivery for a fee of $1.00 per mile. I do not offer any delivery options over 100 miles and I certainly do not offer any long haul options from state to state either.   Any winning bidder that is in the "over 100 mile category" it is up to you to make shipping arrangements and of course all transportation and shipping costs are the expense of you...(the winning high bidder).   At my discretion, I may extend the free delivery from 21-100 miles if the Blazer reaches a dollar amount I deem acceptable. Should you use your own trailer/equipment to pickup the Blazer,...I offer FREE loading assistance to you with my Rollback and equipment,...or I'll assist the carrier of your choice (should you hire one),...also FREE of charge.

PLEASE NOTE;...the state of Maine does not/will not issue a title for ANY automobile/vehicle of 1995 and prior. I do not have a title and the Blazer comes with a bill-of-sale as ownership. ADDITIONAL NOTE;...some states will not accept a bill-of-sale as ownership of a vehicle,...please check with your individual state. FOR THOSE PERSPECTIVE BIDDERS THAT FIT INTO THIS LAST CATEGORY,...please let me know and I can contact the state of Maine and they will issue a legal document so that you can take this paperwork to YOUR state DMV you reside in and YOUR STATE will issue you a new title in your state.  I've done this may of times before and to my knowledge this is the only perfectly legal way for bidders from title-demanding states to get a title for a vehicle from a non-title issuing state.

As always,...UNDERCARRIAGE PICTURES are always posted for perspective bidders/ buyers!!!

I believe the pictures speak for them self, and what doesn't I've included in the description,........if you feel I have missed anything or you have any questions what so ever, please feel free to send me an email and I'll answer the question(s) asap. Upon the completion of the auction I ask that the winning bidder to commit to the transaction with payment in the form of a $200.00 deposit within 48 hours. I also ask that the high bidder follow-up with full payment in 7 days,  or contact me for additional time if needed.  If you have no intent of following threw with the complete payment of the auction item, please just don't bid and waste everyone's time playing games,...any non paying bidders will be reported to both ebay and all 3 major credit reporting agency's.

********KEEP WATCH,...a lot of interesting older ANTIQUE/CLASSIC AUTOS (1949-1985) better shape than this coming in the next several weeks/months,...ALL of which will start with a modest starting price w/NO RESERVE!!!********

                                           .....thanks for looking, Bob.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Chevrolet Turbo Sprint

Sun, Feb 6 2022

Fifteen years ago, I wrote my first-ever automotive article under the name Murilee Martin, and it didn't take me long to start writing about one of my favorite automotive subjects: the junkyard. Before I'd refined my system for documenting discarded vehicles, however, I shot a lot of boneyard photos that never got used. For today's Junkyard Gem, I have four shots from early 2007 of one of the rarest turbocharged machines of the 1980s: the Chevrolet Turbo Sprint. The Chevrolet Sprint was really a rebadged Suzuki Cultus, from the pre-Geo era when General Motors sold the Isuzu Gemini as the Chevrolet Spectrum, the Daewoo LeMans as the Pontiac LeMans and the Toyota Corolla as the Chevrolet Nova (soon enough, the Spectrum became a Geo, and the Nova became the Prizm). The second-generation Cultus appeared in 1988, becoming the Geo Metro on our shores the following year. The Turbo Sprint was available for just the last two years of the Sprint's 1985-1988 American sales run, and it appears that just a couple of thousand were sold; if I'd known at the time just how rare they were, I'd have shot more photos of this one at the now-defunct Hayward Pick Your Part. The turbocharged 993cc three-cylinder produced 70 horsepower, 22 better than the naturally-aspirated version. Since the Turbo Sprint weighed just 1,620 pounds (that's about 500 pounds lighter than a barely more powerful '22 Mitsusbishi Mirage), it was plenty of fun to drive. For 1988, the regular Sprint hatchback cost $6,380 while the Turbo Sprint listed at $8,240 (that's about $15,375 and $19,855 today, respectively). Believe it or not, a Turbo Sprint actually raced in the 24 Hours of Lemons 10 years ago, though it didn't end well. This ad is for the regular Cultus, not the Cultus Turbo, but the screaming guitars sound reasonably turbocharged. For the most part, Chevy Sprint marketing was all about cheap purchase price and stingy fuel economy… at a time when gasoline prices were cratering. Related Video:
