1999 Chevrolet Blazer Ls Sport Utility 2-door 4.3l on 2040-cars
Exton, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4. It runs very strong and is very dependable. I have not had a single problem with the drivetrain or any engine component. I am the second owner of this vehicle and can personally account for half of the miles put on it. The truck has always been kept up to service standards. It is a beast in the snow and will get you anywhere you need to go. The front right ball bearing is a little worn and could use a change my old mechanic would charge me around $100 to have it replaced. The truck has some rust on the rear quarter panels but none underneath. Everything inside the truck works flawlessly, the heat is HOT and the A/C is COLD. I hate to depart with this truck, but I recently had to buy a work van and don't wish to pay insurance on two vehicles. Whoever gets this truck will be a happy customer. It is the most reliable and dependable vehicle I have ever driven. The vehicle is located in West Chester Pennsylvania. I would prefer pick up only, but I'll consider meeting halfway if the distance is reasonable. Cash/Money order/Certified Check/ or Paypal ONLY

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
GM Recalling 370,000 Trucks For Fire Risk
Mon, Jan 13 2014DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups from the 2014 model year to fix software that could cause the exhaust components to overheat and start a fire. The recall includes 303,000 trucks in the U.S. and 67,000 in Canada and Mexico. All of the trucks involved have 4.3-liter or 5.3-liter engines. GM said eight fires have been reported, but no injuries. One garage was damaged, the company said. All of the incidents occurred in cold weather. The company is asking customers not to leave their trucks idling unattended. GM dealers will reprogram the software for free. The company will inform owners starting Jan. 16. The major recall announcement, which came on Saturday, marred the Silverado's winning of the 2014 North American Truck of the Year Award at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday. GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
