The Good:
This SUV runs good. There are no known mechanical defects. The engine is solid and the 5 spd transmission shifts smoothly.
The brakes were replaced all around in January, as well as a new water pump. I am the second owner. It was originally purchased
by the state of Montana in 92'. I still have the original window sticker! I purchased it at auction from the state in 2010. I believe it
was used by Fish and Game or the like.
The Bad:
For California buyers, the truck failed smog test for high HC. When I smogged it two years ago the mechanic said the cat may need to
be replaced next time. I'm not sure why it failed nor do I want to spend the money to find out. I had to do a complete tune up last time
and it passed but I don't really drive it anymore. Registration is due on 06/10/2013.
The Ugly:
The exhaust system definately needs some attention paid. The cold Montana winters took their toll I guess. Little pin holes throughout.
Hey, maybe that's why it failed smog? Anyway, as you see from my patch work, there was a small hole in the pipe behind the cat. Fyi, it
was campbell's chicken soup and was it good! The two front tires are completly shot. Not really any tread left. The rear two are in decent
shape. Maybe 5/10 on both... The A/C may work but it would need to be charged... The aftermarket radio was stolen last Christmas.
Ya know, tis the season and all.
Thanks for looking.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
