1972 Chevy K5 Blazer, Olive Green Exterior, Gray Cloth Interior on 2040-cars
Hansen, Idaho, United States
This blazer is in great condition. I have personally owned it for nearly 15 years and have upgraded and added lots to this vehicle along the way. Paint is in great condition. Interior cloth also in great condition. Dashboard is the original paint and in good shape. Engine block is original but was rebuilt with a bigger crank shaft to make it into a 383 hp motor. Headers and 2 inch dual exhaust increase the horsepower even more from 383 hp. BF Goodrich all-terrrain tires. Removable white hard top "that's when it's an absolute blast to drive". Great power and always been very reliable for me. Runs and drives great. Original steering wheel and original ram-horn exhaust included. Odometer reads "14,160 miles" but is really "114,160 miles" due to not being able to show over 100,000 miles. The back seat is easily removed for more space due to the 2 custom made metal stirrups that the seat slides under as seen in the pictures. The back seat is removed within a minute with only 2 bolts having to be removed. I had this blazer set up for a sound system and subs in the rear end so all of the wiring is still present with an external power switch under the dash to control power to the subs. I could remove this very easily if you didn't want it there or I will leave it if you want it to remain installed. Pioneer CD player and side speakers. Power steering. Has AC capability but I have never had the belt hooked up to the AC unit under the hood, all it would take is to reapply a belt "not included". Custom center console is not included with the purchase. Email with any questions. Thanks

Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. And that, to us, is a pretty good way to earn the daily bread. Check out the video above for the latest sinkhole update. 2016 Chevy Volt sneak peek at CES
Mon, Jan 5 2015Here it is, folks – your first real glimpse at the 2016 Chevrolet Volt. The gasoline-electric sedan will officially debut at the Detroit Auto Show next week, but Chevy gave us a sneak peek of its redesigned Volt at a media event in Las Vegas late Sunday, as part of its CES festivities. There isn't a ton to see here, and sorry about the low quality video (and for us not standing front and center during the reveal). But we can clearly see the car's redesigned front fascia – something recently previewed at a fan event in Los Angeles. For another view, check out a high-res photo of the new Volt from our friends at The Verge, here. Chevy even tweeted a photo of the Volt's new nose on its official Volt Twitter account, which you can see below. The automaker didn't divulge any details about its new Volt, but we already know quite a bit. For starters, the Volt will use a new, 1.5-liter gasoline engine and won't require premium fuel. It'll have more EV range and a bigger battery, too. We'll have a whole mess of information when the 2016 Volt is fully revealed in Detroit in about one week's time. In the meantime, here are some more looks at the Volt, courtesy of the Twitterverse. We're so excited about #NextGenVolt we brought it out early at #CES2015! Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
