1972 chevy blazer k5 cst model in great condition,it has been garage kept since I have owned it for the past 5 years. It is a daily driver and wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country tomorrow.

The drivetrain is most likely the original 350 thats was rebuilt prior to my ownership, the transmission was replaced by previous owner about six years ago,np205 transfer case and 12bolt posi rearend, all in good working order shifts into 4 wheel drive easily. Drives down the road straight and stops good. I just recently installed a vintage air a/c heater kit which mounts in factory location and works way better than stock. The interior is in excellent condition and intact, has alpine head unit with iPod cord and new door speakers. The under carriage is clean and floorboards and wheel wells are solid, no rust in them at all. The body is that of a daily driver... it looks great but is not perfect, some bubbles in the bottom of the doors and a scratch here and there. All the trim is in great shape along with the soft top that is free of tears or rips. I have the original double wall hard top with new weather stripping for it and the hatch glass is good. hard top has a blemish or two but usable. I also have a box of extra parts mainly extra rubber and stripping and other random stuff.
I love this truck and looked long and hard to find it, I drove it like a new car with no problems and so did my wife with two kids, i would never sell it but I can't tow it behind my motorhome and I will be traveling indefinitely. It is in great original condition and would last another 40 years no problem or it could be put to show quality with minimal effort. Feel free to ask questions?

GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model

Tue, Sep 16 2014

Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units. You can see Nitz dish the goods in the video below (Volt comments start at around minute 15). You will also notice AutoblogGreen contributor Gary Witzenburg talk about his history with the EV1 and share his take on the Volt. This content is hosted by a third party. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Corvette Stolen In Detroit Returned To Owner After 33 Years

Wed, Jun 25 2014

A Detroit man had his stolen Corvette returned 33 years after it disappeared while parked on one of Detroit's main drags, according to ABC 7. The last time George Talley saw his 1979 Corvette was on a July day in 1981, when it disappeared from its parking spot on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit. He had given up hope of ever seeing his car again, until a phone call from AAA brought his sporty ride home. Authorities had come across a Corvette with a questionable VIN in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. When they ran the number Talley's stolen car report came up. The car is still in pretty good shape and only has 47,000 miles on the odometer. Talley wasn't sure how he could get the car back home, but General Motors stepped in and agreed to cover the cost of bringing the 'Vette home. Talley has always had a passion for Detroit-made muscle cars. "I've always liked Corvettes. It was attractive. The ladies like 'em," Talley told ABC 7.
