NO RESERVE - AUCTION ENDS SUNDAY AUGUST 4th
@ 6pm MST Time (5PM PST - 8PM EST)
SELLING ON EBAY ONLY - HIGHEST BID WILL BE THE NEW OWNER OF THIS GREAT TRUCK!

This auction includes the following item:

1972 k5 Chevy Blazer 4WD - VIN # CKE182F101309
- Great classic collector built for daily driving

This blazer has been transformed to a more fuel efficient & powerful 350 v8 (same engine size as original) that has been rebuilt recently with less than 4000 miles with an expensive custom Painless Wire harness for updated electrical & conversion to new engine - OBD also installed for
diagnostics -
Oil just changed always with synthetic oil and k&n oil filter - engine is originally from a 1992 silverado, fuel injected 350tbi (rebuilt)
The transmission was rebuilt at the same time & is a th350 (automatic)
The drivetrain has also been recently rebuilt - front & rear end (Dana 44 & GM 12 bolt) 4.10 gears, np205 transfer case
Brakes are newer with upgraded front discs & brake booster (power brakes) - stops super straight & quick
Newer shocks & 31" all-terrian tires - Suspension is stock & has not been hacked up with a lift kit
New Battery late June 2013
15x10 rims
Billet style front grill
Kenwood head unit - cd player does not work but radio does
(4) infiniti 6x9 speakers
Interior is very clean for the age
Warn locking manual hubs
Roll cage needs finishing touches but is better looking & larger than the original - looks great with top off!
Top is in fair condition & could be easily fiberglassed to perfection - glass is in good condition - TOP CAN COME OFF but I never took it off myself
Original center console is in decent shape
Has a rubber mat covering the back of the truck from the back of the front 2 seats to the tailgate - floors are in good condition
Come swith owners manual - original build specs are still on the glove compartment door
BONUS: I bought two LEATER POWER HEATED seats from a 2001 silverado that I never had time to install. The heated seat controls are included as well. You could use these or stay with the the taller seats that are already installed. Bench seat is also included (not installed) with the Painless wire harness & updated fuse panel, these seats should be easy to install & operate

Runs great & could be used as a daily driver. Amazing in the snow & in the mountains. By far the best running & driving blazer I have been in. If your looking at a blazer, jimmy, or bronco then fuel injected is the only way to go! Could be an awesome cabin vehicle or used to drive to work everyday. These 1st generation blazers are a lot of fun & very rare.

What it needs:
Was originally orange from the factory & then repainted black a long time ago. In the pictures you are seeing the original orange paint coming through the black paint (those are not rust spots)
Will need doors replaced if you want to fix the body as well as some inexpensive rear quarter patch panels. Parts are easily found on lmctruck.com, you can find used ones, or do the work yourself. Needs door locks replaced when doors are done, parts are like $30 for the locks. The body is the only thing left to complete this great truck. Has a solid floor but the average rocker panel rust. Don't get me wrong, the body is not horrible but needs work to bring it up to the standard the rest of the vehicle is at.

Speedometer needs to be calibrated to be exact, all the other gauges work properly. I marked the mileage as 1 but the odo reads 66k. I do not know the exact mileage on the frame but the pictures speak for themselves. Also needs a new passenger side turn signal light. No AC but does have spot for compressor & was originally an AC truck as you can see on the picture of the dash. Parking brake is not hooked up.

I also have a new gas tank & sending unit that comes with it. Current gas tank has a dent in it but the sending unit & gauge work fine. I bought a new sending unit just because I am not interested in removing the gas tank later down the road.

I ALSO HAVE 70+ ADDITIONAL PHOTOS & VIDEO THAT I CAN EMAIL TO YOU -
EBAY IS ONLY ALLOWING 24 PICTURES BECAUSE I AM NOT A DEALER - (FOR SALE BY OWNER)

I have well over $10k invested & that does not include my time or labor. I just moved & no longer have the room or a place to store it. My loss, your gain.

I have the clean Colorado title. This blazer qualifies for collector car insurance. (Cheaper) These collector blazers have not gone down in value even through the bad economy!

Have any questions? Please email me or we can talk in person. Serious inquires only please. Ryan@DenversGreenAgent.com 303-346-7653

Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.

Weekly Recap: Lincoln Continental serves up the style, Cadillac CT6 delivers the substance in New York

Sat, Apr 4 2015

Lincoln and Cadillac grabbed the spotlight this week at the New York Auto Show in a dramatic fashion that evoked the brands' glory days. America's two luxury carmakers went toe-to-toe with their glittering reveals and plans for ambitious expansion. Both were selling their technology, style and the promise of a better future. Cadillac vs. Lincoln. At the Javits Center, 2015 seemed a lot like 1956. Neither company was interested in drawing comparisons with the other, which is fair, and accurate. They're in vastly different places in terms of sales and the pace of their turnarounds, but they hope to reach the same eventual destination at the pinnacle of the luxury-car world. Lincoln used the element of surprise to great effect with the Continental concept. A production version is still at least a year away, and the company was vague on details. Officially, we don't even know if it is front- or rear-wheel drive, though speculation abounds. Who cares? The seats can be adjusted 30 ways! The Continental also showed off a bold chrome grille that will be the new face of Lincoln. The blue bomber also rolled on blinged-out 21-inch polished aluminum wheels, used a 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine and had huge LED head lights with "laser-assisted" high beams. All of this resulted in almost blinding attention. The concept drew rave reviews, stirred controversy with Bentley designers who argued Lincoln ripped them off, and most importantly, pointed a way forward for the newly determined brand that hopes to compete with Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Cadillac and Lexus. View 32 Photos Meanwhile, Cadillac showed the CT6, a finished product that will top its range and is loaded with the best and latest technologies General Motors has at its disposal. With production starting late this year, Cadillac had more specifics at the ready. Engines? Cadillac has a couple V6s and a turbo four for sure. It's working on a hybrid, and has considered a V-Series variant. It's based on a new rear-wheel-drive, aluminum-intensive chassis called Omega, features an advanced collision-mitigation system with automatic braking and has a cabin that's laden with "leathers, exotic woods and carbon fiber." It will be assembled at GM's Detroit-Hamtramck factory and goes on sale next year. At this point, Cadillac is more than willing to talk about every except for the price. The devil was not in the details for Cadillac, as evidenced by the CT6. But it wasn't for Lincoln either.

Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.
