This truck is a driver. Good running and driving vehicle. Starts right up and runs well. Garage kept and well maintained. Truck looks good and gets compliments all the time. Paint is a ten footer. Body was restored by previous owner. There are some paint chips and blemishes. The clearcoat on hood is starting to peel. Some slight rust in bed and tailgate. Lights, dash lights, and gauges all work. Interior seats redone in black and white. Shows well inside and out. There is an after-market stereo installed with i-pod connection. Comes with both hard and soft tops. Rims were powder-coated and have newer tires. This is a 40+ year old vehicle and is not perfect. I recommend that you come and inspect vehicle before bidding. This is an auction so don't bid if you don't intend to buy. Non-refundable $500.00 deposit due at end of auction with paypal. Balance due when vehicle is picked up. Wed, Mar 9 2016You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
