1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer on 2040-cars

1970 K5 BLAZER “UP FOR AUCTION” is a 1970 CHEVROLET K5
Blazer. This is a 44 year old vehicle and it is a very reliable and
desirable model for a lot of car collectors or off road enthusiasts. It has the original 307 CU engine with a two barrel carburetor and
the four speed transmission The DANA 44 differentials with 3.73 GEARS and the 205
TRANSFER CASE. I’m the second owner and it shows 54,000 original miles on the speedometer and according to the previous owner, this are in fact the original miles. This vehicle was not used for a few years and it was just parked in a garage were I found it 18 years ago. This
engine still has a lot of life left on it. I had all the brakes re-done about a
year ago, (drum type front and rear). It has chrome headers with a new dual
exhaust system extended all the way to the rear with side exit and chrome tips.
I had a 2 1/2 inches lift kit installed with all four 9000 Rancho shock
absorbers. It has no AC and no PB. It does have power steering. An AM/FM radio/cassette stereo is in
place and ready to receive the speakers of your choice (no speakers). All
gauges work except the amps gauge. The gauge cluster was replaced with a new
unit and I think that the problem is just probably a loose connection. The interior was fixed a little but never
finished except for the seats and side door panels that were upholstered with a
camouflage material. It needed a roll bar so I got one for it with a padding
material around it for a better look and protection. The dashboard was also
replaced and still needs carpeting, moldings and seat belts. I have the center
console for it. Overall, It needs only some cosmetic touches. The wipers,
heater, emergency warning lights, turn signals glove compartment glove lock
assembly, and foot brake work fine. I need to mention that the outer rocker
side panels on both sides had only a few rust bubbles and they didn’t need to
be replaced instead they were only repaired and the floor pans,
doors, window gutters, fenders, frame and bed are free of rust and very solid. This
is an Arizona truck. . A class III hidden behind the license plate towing
package with the electrical system for towing trailers with electric brakes was
professionally installed for a safer towing of any kind of properly weight
rated trailer. The gas tank has a protecting plate. A POWERFUL 12,000 Lbs. WARN winch was mounted
on a specially designed steel bumper for this model and it is connected
directly to a red top Optima battery. It has the solid fiberglass double
insulated top with the attachments already installed for a heavy duty luggage
rack (included). All the hinges and hardware for the rear hatch work fine and
are in good condition. I tried to describe the vehicle
condition to the best of my knowledge but if you have any questions just ask
and I will respond as soon as I can. Thank you for bidding. VERY IMPORTANT: THE TERMS OF THE AUCTION Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours
of the end of the auction to make payment arrangements. A deposit to my PayPal

cancellations. Winning this auction obligates you to purchase this car. There
will be no renegotiation. Please bid accordingly. The vehicle is being sold for medical reasons and to take care of
some bills. I’m not a car salesman this is a private sale. It hurts me to sell
it but family comes first. 013437935728039 NOTE; The
canoe shown in one of the pictures is not included with the vehicle unless you
are interested then we can talk about it after the sale ends. The vehicle will not be released

2016 Chevrolet Volt First Drive
Fri, Oct 2 2015There's a hit vehicle hiding in GM's formula for the Chevy Volt. You can sense it in the enthusiasm that current Volt drivers have for their cars. You can see it in the amount of money GM has poured into its extended-range electric vehicle project. And perhaps most importantly, you can feel it from the driver's seat of the new, second-gen model. The big question is whether or not GM will be able to turn its much-hyped 'halo car' into a best-seller this time around. After driving it in northern California, I can tell you that the Volt is tremendous. But we all know it takes more than that to create a hit. GM has so far sold over 82,000 Volts in the US. That's respectable, but in the early, glory days before the car launched, company representatives were talking about much more impressive numbers. With a few years to talk to customers and potential prospects, GM has learned a lot about what makes someone buy a Volt. For the 2016 model, Chevy has changed just about everything for the better. The new Volt has more all-electric range (53 miles vs. 38 in the first generation), is more fuel efficient whether you're looking at the overall value (106 combined MPGe vs. 98) or just when the car burns gas (42 miles per gallon vs. 37). All of that means that the car's overall range is bumped up to 420 miles, from 380. The battery is smaller and lighter while offering more energy capacity. The range-extending gas engine is bigger (1.5 liters vs. 1.4) but it's also more efficient and can burn regular gasoline instead of just premium. The Volt's overall range is bumped up to 420 miles, from 380. The cost is lower, too: $33,995 vs. $34,170, before incentives. This is a car that GM thinks will compete against the Toyota Priuses and Nissan Leafs of the world (as its new ads make abundantly clear). All three cars have completely different powertrains, but we all know that they're the headline green cars of our time (along with Tesla), so buyers will have to want to pony up a bit more money if they like what the Volt is offering. The 2016 Leaf with its 107-mile range starts at $37,640 (before incentives), while a 2015 Prius can be had for $25,035 (pricing for the 2016 has not yet been announced). So, on paper, the new Volt is an all-around winner. I'm here to tell you that it wins on the road, too. You can't help but notice the changes. They are literally front and center.
NHTSA upgrades probe into 1.7 million GM vehicles over wiper failures
Tue, Dec 17 2019WASHINGTON — The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Tuesday it is upgrading an investigation into 1.7 million General Motors vehicles for windshield wiper failures. The auto safety agency opened the probe in November 2018 to see if GM needed to expand a 2016 recall of 2013 model year Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain SUVs to cover additional vehicles. The engineering analysis probe covers 2010-2012 and 2014-2016 Equinox and Terrain vehicles. NHTSA could demand a recall after it completes the probe. NHTSA said it has reviewed 1,900 complaints and reports related to the issue in the 1.7 million vehicles. NHTSA said it has seen elevated failure rates in the 1.7 million vehicles, even though GM said the recalled vehicles have "double the warranty rate and five times the complaint rate." GM said it will "fully cooperate to support their investigation. We do not believe these windshield washer systems are defective." The wiper failures that prompted the 2016 recall were attributed to water and debris intrusion into the windshield wiper assembly ball joints, leading to excessive wear and eventual detachment of the ball joint. GM said it was installing an improved windshield wiper motor and transmission assembly and relocating a drain hole at the base of the windshield. Related Video:
2016 Chevrolet Camaro First Drive [w/video]
Fri, Oct 16 2015The Autoblog gang was downright stoked to learn the 2016 Chevy Camaro was next on our test-car docket. Then we found out it was the V6 model. Buzzkill. We were hoping for the snorting V8, or at least the spunky new turbo four-cylinder. The V6? Meh. We've been driving V6 Camaros for, like, six years. It's what you buy if you can't afford anything better, or so say horsepower snobs as they wrinkle their noses and cut their coffee with 93 octane. But after a week with the six-pot Camaro, we'll admit it: we were wrong. The all-new 3.6-liter V6 is strong, sounds good, and is damn fun to drive. Its 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque appear modest by modern standards, but they power the Camaro to 60 miles per hour in 5.1 seconds with the automatic, or in the case of our manual-equipped test car, 5.2 seconds. That's almost half a second quicker than the new turbo four-cylinder model. Yes, it has the same displacement as the old V6. No, it's not the same engine. Upon closer inspection, the V6's potency shouldn't come as a surprise. This engine is from General Motors' newest family of dual-overhead cam powerplants that launched in the Cadillac CTS and ATS. Yes, it has the same displacement as the old V6. No, it's not the same engine. Don't be fooled, and don't underestimate it at stoplights. The strapping V6 is unsuspectingly good, but it's just one of many improvements for the sixth-generation Camaro. Chevy's coupe is lighter, faster, and more modern looking inside and out. It starts with a rear-wheel-drive chassis donated from the Cadillac ATS, though about 70 percent of the components are unique to the Camaro. The 2016 model is about two inches shorter in length (thanks to a shorter wheelbase) and about an inch has been removed from height and width compared to the 2015 model. These lighter underpinnings jumpstarted the Camaro's weight-loss plan, and thanks to extensive use of aluminum, the V6 with the new eight-speed automatic transmission weighs 3,435 pounds – 294 less than its predecessor (the manual-transmission V6 Camaro weighs 3,448 pounds). The V8, meanwhile, sheds 223 pounds. One by one, these elements would merely enhance how the Camaro drives, but taken collectively, they invigorate the new model. It feels much more confident and agile in all circumstances. Put simply, it's a sportier car. View 32 Photos Grab second, let the revs build, and the dual-mode exhaust changes its tune from a low buzz to a rumble, then a growl.
