Mild Custom Kustom Rat Hot Rod Chevy Belair 2 Door Hardtop Suede Paint V8 on 2040-cars
Hialeah, Florida, United States
I am listing this 56 Chevy for a good friend of mine. It’s a running driving vehicle. Has been driven around town a lot but never been on any long trips. It has a factory V8 283 with a power glide automatic tranny. The distributer is off a later model SBC HEI. The motor runs strong and the tranny shifts. As for brakes it has a new master cylinder and a couple hoses and hardlines have been replaced. The car stops fine for having original brakes, four wheel drums. The tires are in very good shape, they have more than half thread left on them and have white wall inserts. The wheels are painted to match the body of the car. Exterior it is not perfect, but very presentable. All the chrome and stainless has never been redone but has been cleaned up. The body is painted in a flat metallic blue and a gloss single stage white. The body work is not perfect but again it is presentable for a driver. It has been lowered a couple inches for a more sporty / mild custom look. The car comes with a pair of new aftermarket fender skirts that have been painted to match the car, they are sitting inside the trunk along with a set of original hub caps for the car. Inside it has a new blue carpet and the front bench seat is in very good shape. However it is gray in color and doesn’t match the blue and white interior, so a couple of blue / white Mexican blankets have been thrown over the seat to make it match better. There is no headliner, but all the stainless roof trim is on there. Some of the glass is cracked but it looks to be all original. The 4 windows roll up and down. The hood, doors and trunk open and close good, it has a new trunk key but there are no other keys. The ignition currently does not need a key to turn on the car. To wrap it up, this is not a show car, it is a driver that someone can enjoy as is or fix up some more. This car is being sold as is, there is no warranty written or implied. No Returns or Refunds! Only bid if you have the funds to purchase! PAYMENT: We will only accept PayPal for the deposit. The Balance must be done thru Wire Transfer, Personal Check or Cashier Check. The funds must be cleared in full before the car will be shipped. Buyer must make a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction ending. Full payment is Due within 7 days of auction ending.

GM Recalling 370,000 Trucks For Fire Risk
Mon, Jan 13 2014DETROIT (AP) - General Motors is recalling 370,000 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups from the 2014 model year to fix software that could cause the exhaust components to overheat and start a fire. The recall includes 303,000 trucks in the U.S. and 67,000 in Canada and Mexico. All of the trucks involved have 4.3-liter or 5.3-liter engines. GM said eight fires have been reported, but no injuries. One garage was damaged, the company said. All of the incidents occurred in cold weather. The company is asking customers not to leave their trucks idling unattended. GM dealers will reprogram the software for free. The company will inform owners starting Jan. 16. The major recall announcement, which came on Saturday, marred the Silverado's winning of the 2014 North American Truck of the Year Award at the Detroit Auto Show on Monday. Here are all the cars GM is axing as part of its restructuring
Tue, Nov 27 2018GM plans to kill off a couple of great and a few meh cars as part of its restructuring. Here's a rundown of all the cars being phased out of production. None of the vehicles GM axed were SUVs or crossovers. Instead, it was an action reminiscent of what Ford recently decided to do by discontinuing U.S. sales every Blue Oval sedan. GM just didn't explicitly say, "We're killing our cars," like Ford did — probably a smart move by GM. Keep scrolling down to see the full list of deceased GM models. Chevrolet Volt This one was the most surprising of all the cars GM decided to can, primarily because cars with plugs are supposed to be our future. However, maybe consumer demand just isn't quite there yet for a plug-in like the Volt. We came up with all sorts of ideas for what was to blame for the untimely demise of the Volt, so go check that out for a full breakdown of the situation. Cadillac CT6 Here's another car we'll be sad to see go. Cadillac's flagship sedan was such a joy to drive, and it served as the conduit to deliver GM's semi-autonomous Super Cruise system, which still hasn't been surpassed by any other company's technology in our books, even Tesla's Autopilot. That being said, GM does plan to produce the CT6 until March, with the last cars coming off the line set to be twin-turbo V8 V-Series models. If it's going to go, this seems like a pretty great way to make an exit. We'll be patiently awaiting the next flagship Cadillac once this one finally fades away. Chevrolet Impala The Impala is actually a pretty good car. It doesn't sell terribly, and we think it's a completely satisfactory car to drive. However, people would rather have a Traverse or Equinox these days, making the Impala one of the vehicles to find itself on this list. Chevrolet is keeping its smaller brother, the Malibu, but a big, full-size sedan just isn't what people are ordering up these days. It's unfortunate to see it go, but we won't be broken up over it. Chevrolet Cruze We wouldn't rank the Cruze at the top of the compact car class, but if you were looking for a small, cheap American car, it was either this or the Focus. The Cruze had the potential to be a true small performance car if Chevy had ever wanted to make it into one. But sadly, we're seeing it bow out before Chevy ever tried to slot a hot engine and suspension in there to make it competitive with other hot hatches. A Cruze SS would have made enthusiasts take notice.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
