SELLER REMARKS |

It's no secret that we love 1957 Chevys here at Streetside Classics, but the way they sell also proves that you love them too! With timeless looks and the ability to become just about anything you can imagine, there are few better choices for your next car than this lovely 1957 210 2-door post coupe.
Black has always been, and will always be in style, and the mono-tone black finish looks great on the '57 sheetmetal. A close examination will reveal only minor signs of use here and there, but that only proves that the car is working as intended. You already know that chrome isn't cheap, and the '57 is literally covered in the stuff, so there's a small fortune wrapped up in the details on this car and the results speak for themselves. A black on chrome contrast like you get with this '57 has got to be the best and most appealing combo for automotive styling, and it doesn't disappoint here.
Black and grey is the theme inside, with black vinyl and cloth inserts covering the front and rear bench seats. The attractively tailored materials continue onto the door panels, and even the headliner is finished in the taut grey cloth. You get a hot rod vibe while sitting in the driver's seat with sporty 3-spoke steering wheel connecting you to the road, and three Sunpro gauges keeping tabs on oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage. Everything else is laid out in typical 210 fashion, familiar for any tri-five fan. The black dash sports a handsome trim piece that is a pleasant sight for any driver.
Lift the hood to reveal a nicely detailed engine bay that features a 283 cubic inch V8. Power has been upgraded slightly with the addition of an Edelbrock C3BX intake manifold, Holley carburetor, and a mild cam. The cylinder heads are topped with stylish finned valve covers and a chrome air cleaner maintains that nostalgic look, while a new heavy duty radiator keeps things running cool. Connected to that small block is a 3-speed automatic taking care of shifting duties. There are front disc brakes and power steering providing simple aids for a pleasurable driver, and all of the wear items such as brakes, brake lines, shocks, and springs appear new.
You can probably count on this car landing a new home pretty quickly, given how well finished it is, and there's definitely no shortage of '57 Chevy fans. At a bargain price with great looks, we're sure to see plenty of those fans come in our showroom to check it out. Call today!

Buying a vehicle from General Motors' stable of brands might be a lot cheaper in the near future – at least for customers in China. The effort comes as GM hopes to keep sales there growing, and the decision alludes to yet another sign that the Asian country no longer has the booming auto market of past years. GM and its Chinese joint venture partner SAIC are slashing prices by as much as the equivalent to $8,700 on 40 models from Buick, Chevrolet, and Cadillac, according to The Detroit News. Across all of automaker's nameplates, the overall sales dipped in China in April by 0.4 percent to 258,484 vehicles. Among the drops, Buick was down 8.5 percent, and Chevy shrunk 5.6 percent. Caddy's numbers increased 4.6 percent for the month, though. Buick remains a popular brand in the minds of Chinese consumers, but according to The Detroit News domestic automakers there are starting to eat into the dominance of foreign companies in the market. The country remains important for GM, though. Late last year, it outlined a future strategy that included China as a major pillar, including a $14 billion investment to build five new factories and boost sales. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Unless you have an intense aversion to Jerry Seinfeld, it's hard not to find something to like about his show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. After all, the series combines funny people telling often hilarious stories while riding in ridiculously cool vehicles. The trailer for the sixth season is now online, and based on this tease, this definitely looks worth watching no matter what part of the videos interest you. Of course, it's the automotive portion that really grabs us, and Seinfeld has quite a fleet to showcase for season six. The trailer shows off a Lamborghini Countach, a '57 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, a classic Volkswagen Beetle in the green and white German Polizei livery, a Morgan, an Aston Martin DB5, and a Ferrari 308. On the more humorous side of things, the guest list at least includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Carrey, Steve Harvey, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and upcoming host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah. Season six of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premieres on Crackle on Wednesday, June 3, at 11:30 PM ET.
