1963 CHEVROLET BELAIR
Chevrolet brought a new look to their 1963 models by making the Belair. They were on a role and topped the production charts in 1963. The Chevrolet Belair has remained the most exciting of the bunch that Chevrolet ever produced. They catered to the family man as well as to racers by offering dealer installed big blocks with light weight aluminum bumpers.
We are honored to have a very clean 1963 Chevrolet Belair 2 door post car that is up for auction and is considered a true piece of automobile history. It has a clean title and everything has been touched and rebuilt without cutting any costs or expense. The frame has been beautifully detailed when the body was off, and this car looks just as good underneath as it does up top! Everything is better than new. The car is black on black with less than 95,000 miles on a rebuilt corvette 350 motor. This is not an everyday 350 motor. It was a factory corvette block, has aluminum edelbrock heads, aluminum intake, edelbrock carb, hi energy distributor, high performance cam, much more. The transmission is a 350 with an aggressive shift kit. The rear differential has been completely rebuilt and yes, it is a Ford 9" posi traction. All of the mechanicals of this car have less than 1000 miles on them. This Belair will provide you with everything you need or want in a car, Quality, Reliability and Character. This 1963 Belair will be a show stopper, it gets attention in every arena. Remember, this is a factory air conditioned car and the air in this one is ice cold.
This Belair has been through a meticulous inspection and passed as being a new car. Most old cars end up being forgettable, but not this 1963 Belair. The paint on this Belair is flawless with no scratches, no blemishes and there is no need to spend any money on touch ups. This car looks wet and has won every show it entered. The interior is black with bucket seats with matching black carpet and headliner. The interior of this Belair is flawless. The glass is all original, with the exception of the windshield. Even the rear glass is original and still has the factory a/c decal. This Belair has a modern stereo but it required no cutting or modifications, it is classic looking, digital type that fits in the factory location. There is a Digital Designs amp that also required no real modification to the car.
The performance of this Belair is on top of a disc brake set up with 15" polished wheels with classic looking bfg tires which make it perform and handle well. The dual exhaust is made up of 2 flow master mufflers which is plumed with 2.5" pipes. The chrome on the Belair is also original including the bumpers, grille, and window trim. They all have been polished to the highest degree and the fact that they are original makes this car very special. The electrical is all in working order from the headlights, running light, blinkers and even the navigation which was installed mostly to provide accurate speed readings.
This 1963 Belair is a true classic and would make any owner proud to have it. Please bid with the upmost confidence that this is a quality car and please feel free to review all of the restoration documentation including photos.. We are very proud of this car and not only do we know what the definition of what TRUE QUALITY is, this car shows that we achieved it. The receipts total more than 60K, not including the labor on any of the mechanical work. There will be several pictures present to help document the total restoration.

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015
Mon, Jan 5 2015Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
2016 Chevrolet Camaro powers up, slims down
Sat, May 16 2015Don't be fooled by its familiar appearance, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is vastly different than its iconic predecessors. It has a new chassis, a fresh engine lineup, and is loaded with clever technologies that promise to invigorate and improve the sixth generation of Chevy's legendary sports car. It was revealed Saturday before a crowd of enthusiastic Camaro revelers on Belle Isle in Detroit. Redesigning the sports coupe was a heady task, especially as its archrivals, the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, drive better and are more powerful than ever. But the new Camaro is aiming to be the best combination of handling and raw performance, with quick acceleration and competitive fuel economy. "Redesigning the Camaro is thrilling and challenging all at once, but the secret is to offer something more," Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president of product development, said in a statement. It all began with a weight-loss plan. The new Camaro shed more than 200 pounds compared with the outgoing car, with 133 pounds coming from a lighter body-in-white. Then engineers culled weight nearly everywhere, using aluminum for the instrumental panel frame and some suspension components to trim as much fat as possible. The slimmer body rests on new bones. The Camaro's rear-wheel-drive platform is lighter and stiffer in a bid to improve handling. It's a modified version of the underpinnings used by the Cadillac ATS, though about 70 percent of the architecture is unique to the Camaro. Chevy said structural rigidity is improved by 28 percent. As you'll see, healthy doses of Cadillac and Corvette technologies have been used to bolster the Camaro's drive character and performance. The new car is also expected to handle better thanks to a slightly smaller footprint. It is about two inches shorter in length, with most of that due to the more compact wheelbase. It's also an inch shorter in height and an inch slimmer in width. So yes, the Camaro will be leaner, but it will still be plenty mean. The Camaro SS tops the range (for now) with the Corvette's 6.2-liter V8 pushing put 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. Known as the LT1, is has a cast aluminum block and cast aluminum cylinder heads, and it's fortified with direct injection, variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation. About 20 percent of the engine's parts are said to be unique to the Camaro, including the exhaust manifolds.
GM plans new car family for global markets, $5B investment
Tue, Jul 28 2015Globalization remains all the rage in the auto industry, as manufacturers scramble to develop single vehicles that can easily be adapted to the world's disparate market places. Ford has been a champion of this movement, with its One Ford mandate, but now, its cross-town rival is getting in on the action, albeit on a smaller scale. General Motors has announced a $5-billion investment to develop a new Chevrolet-badged family vehicle for global growth markets, including Brazil, Mexico, India, and importantly, China. With the PRC listed as a target market for the new vehicle, it's no surprise that GM is teaming with its Chinese joint-venture partner, SAIC Motor, to develop the vehicle's architecture and engines. The first vehicles should be hitting dealers by 2019, with GM expecting to eventually move some two million units per year. "With a significant majority of anticipated automotive industry growth in 2015 to 2030 outside of mature markets, Chevrolet is taking steps to capitalize on that growth," GM President Dan Ammann said in the attached statement. "Strengthening Chevrolet's position through this major investment is consistent with our global strategy to ensure long-term profitable growth in the markets where we operate." GM is quite focused on developing markets for a new vehicle, going as far as to say that "mature markets" like the US aren't currently being considered for the new family vehicle. As for where it will be built, the press release specifically says it won't be exported to the US, meaning it will very likely be built abroad using parts from local suppliers. Read on for the official press release from General Motors. Chevrolet Strengthens Position in Growth Markets with $5 Billion Investment 2015-07-28 All-new vehicle family tailored to local customer requirements General Motors and SAIC Motor partnership further enhanced DETROIT – Chevrolet announced today it is investing $5 billion to strengthen its business in global growth markets through the development of an all-new vehicle family that will meet the rapidly changing demands of customers in these markets. "With a significant majority of anticipated automotive industry growth in 2015 to 2030 outside of mature markets, Chevrolet is taking steps to capitalize on that growth," said General Motors President Dan Ammann.
