1961 Chevy Bel Air Flat Top 2 door post  project. Disassembly started for a frame off restoration. Box Frame. All parts are there including some hard to find NOS parts not used yet. I have all the door glass, front windshield and back window are good, original rear seats, 2 front bucket seats from mid 60's Nova, all chrome trim for body as well as interior, original radio, cragar mags with excellent tires, brand new 1961 assembly manual and shop manual, new unopened 348 grill emblem, doors, trunk lid, hood, bumpers. There are rust issues with the car, but should be easy enough to repair for an experienced body man. Parts are available through Classic Industries.

Car was originally 283 with 3 spd tranny. Box Frame is square, (checked by professional) I do not have a title for this car, it would be relatively easy to get one. My intention was to install a straight axle front end to make a 60's style gasser. Other financial priorities force me to sell my project. It is for sale local, so I reserve the right to close auction early on a local sale. However, I will notify the highest bidder in writing. This is a pick-up only sale. I cannot deliver or have shipped. I will accept paypal deposit, but I prefer cash in hand for closing. If you win the bid, do not try to lower price when you show up, you will go home without the car OR your deposit.

The project options are limitless at this point, Gasser, Rat Rod, Resto-Mod, Original Restoration, Hot Rod, Drag Race, etc...

I already have $$ invested in car, parts and time. If you have questions please ask before bidding. I am very reasonable and will help as much as I can. Good luck bidding, you will have fun with this.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
