1957 Chevrolet 150 Four Door Sedan 12,500 Actual Miles / Factory A/C and Tinted Glass This is a super nice 1957 Chevrolet 150 Four Door Sedan. This car was ordered brand new at Ratliff Motors in Llano, Texas on May 8, 1957 by Lloyd M. Myers. Mr. Myers wanted a car as inexpensive as possible, but wanted it to have air conditioning. He ordered this car with factory A/C, tinted glass, and a heater, and traded in his 1949 Chevrolet. The total price of the 57' was $2,100 minus his $500 trade in. I have the original order sheet from when the car was ordered brand new. Additionally, I have the receipt from when the car was picked up on June 10, 1957. I have the original owners service policy from Ratliff Motors with Lloyd M. Myers as the original owner and this cars serial number matching all the paper work. The Myers family owned this car at least until 1984 according to all of the original Texas Registration Receipts that I have. The car was restored at some point in the past. The exterior of the car is in great shape. The paint is beautiful and has a high quality gloss. The car is finished in the correct factory color of Adobe Beige (according to the trim tag and original order sheet). The chrome and stainless trim on the car is perfect. All of the bright work looks like it was just done yesterday. All of the rubber seals are excellent. All of the glass is original to the car and is tinted as it came from the factory. The gaps on the car are all excellent and the doors open and close effortlessly. There is a small mark on the passenger side under the front door where someone must have chipped the paint at some point and touched it up. The mark is roughly the size of a quarer. The engine is the 235 C.I. 6 cylinder with a standard 3 speed transmission on the column. The engine bay is very clean and presentable. I've been told it's very rare for a six cylinder 57' to come equipped with factory air. The interior of the car is very nice and clean. The headliner, door panels, and seats are all in excellent shape with no rips or tears anywhere. The car has carpet added, but would have come from the factory with a rubber mat. The carpet is a good addition to the car and is very nice with no wear anywhere. The dash on the car is the worst part of the interior. There are some wear marks on the dash, but it is still very presentable. The car has had an AM/FM radio with CD player added tastefully in the glove box. The radio works great and is a good addition to the car in my opinion. If you don't like it you can definitely take it out without a problem. The tires on the car are near perfect. The car come with 2 sets of hubcaps. The trunk area on the car is in perfect shape. The undercarriage is also in very good condition. The car runs, drives, stops, and shifts like brand new. All of the gauges on the car work as they should. The heater on the car works excellent. The factory A/C is not currently hooked up. All of the components are there and I believe it could be working with little effort. The car is also a 12,500 miles car. The mileage is actual and listed on registration cards from Texas, a previous Maryland title, and the current clear PA title. This is an excellent car. It is an affordable way to get into a 1957 Chevy. The car can be shown or driven just for fun. My dad and I have been PA car dealers since 1989. We have an antique car business as a HOBBY, and this is not our full time job. We do it because it’s fun for us. I try to be as honest and accurate as I can when describing a car. I would rather a customer buy a car from me and it is nicer than they were expecting then vice versa. I try to include a variety of different pictures as well. If you’d like additional pictures of a specific area or any type of information please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to accommodate you. I will accept cash, certified bank check or wire transfer ONLY. Please understand that you are bidding to BUY a car, not to come take a look at it. If you would like to see the car please get in touch and we can make arrangements. Please understand that this is a 56 year old car. It is NOT perfect. I would rate it as an exceptional driver. Please feel free to contact me with any question (724) 771-5170. Thank you.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. puts his Callaway Corvette and '55 Chevy on eBay
Sat, Jan 24 2015Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has put a couple of his personal cars up for sale on eBay. The first is a 1955 Chevy Bel Air that Junior had reworked by Funkmaster Flex, a bit of a diversion from Flex's more common Ford efforts. Junior's ride has a replacement chassis from Jim Meyer Racing, a 434 small-block tuned by Sharioff Racing to 500 horsepower, and truly thin rubber on what appear to be aluminum billet rims with Junior's former number 8 on the center caps. The interior is all custom and painted to match the outside, and those seats have been completely reupholstered. The second car is a 1999 Callaway C12, the 18th of 19 C12s built that year and featured in a 2002 issue of AutoWeek. It joined Earnhardt's private collection in 2004. Built on the base of a C5 Chevrolet Corvette and using a lot of technical know-how from Callaway's European racing program, the BMW #287 Blue Pearl C12 had its V8 bored out to 6.2 liters and graced with Callaway's Supernatural upgrade; it also has a Callaway coil-over suspension with adjustable dampers. There's new bodywork all around, and when new it cost about $200,000. At the time of writing bidding on the Bel Air was up to $80,100, the C12 was at $63,100. The auction ends Monday morning, and the winning bidders have the option of having their prizes autographed and retrieving the keys from Dale Jr himself if they're willing to go to Moorseville, NC. 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks
Sat, 02 Mar 2013Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
Chevy working on production Impala Midnight Edition
Sat, Dec 13 2014To put together the Impala Blackout concept for SEMA, Chevrolet didn't need to go much further than its accessories catalog. The in-house connection is what could make it possible for Chevy to get a production version of the Blackout into dealers this model year, with its few bits of chrome trim and dark detailing on the 19-inch aluminum wheels set into an abyss of gloss black paint, black Bowtie, grille surround, rear spoiler and mirror caps. The interior is black leather, with stainless steel for the sill plates and pedals, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and it gets the optional 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. The brand's marketing director for cars and crossovers, Steve Majoros, told Edmunds that it could come in late spring, and that it will be called "Midnight Edition." Majoros didn't give any indication of pricing or if the production car will be spec'd out like the concept. If you simply don't want to wait for late spring, you could work your DIY mojo by putting one together the same way Chevrolet did: give the accessories catalog a workout. Related Video:
