This is a 1957 Chevy 2dr sedan that looks like an old style drag car, but is actually a pretty nice street legal car. Car has a 350 engine with a solid lift cam and Edelbrock aluminium heads, it runs real strong and sounds awesome! 780 Holley carb and electric fuel pump.Car also has a brand new gas tank and sending unit. It has new floor pans and half quarters and door skins. The car also has new interior including sound deadner and carpet with a nice stereo with 8 track player. Everything works on the car besides wipers. i put in a new fuse panel and most new wiring. It has high and low beam lights, turn signals and brake lights. All guages work (oil, temp & volt). also has header cut outs for easy opening. Car has 3:55 gears so it is very driveable and gets a lot of looks. It also has a brand new turbo 350 that shifts like a beast and a brand new 2800 stall converter. The car has new brakes and all new lines front and back. It drives and rides real good, has air shocks and traction bars on back. All stainless and chrome is good, driver quality back bumper is fades some at the bottom half. I put new fender emblems and hood rockets on it and a pretty nice grile bar. I have a new headliner that needs to be installed and will be by the time auction is over.I also have both new door glasses that I will try to have installed before auction closes, if not winning bidder will have to install. paint is nice anbd shiny on the car. It also has new body mount rubbers and bushings installed. Tires and wheels are nice. also has new door rubber. I am sure I left a lot out on this car, if you have any questions just ask. This car is forsale locally also so I reserve the right to stop auction at any time. This is a real fun car that looks good and runs like the name says! Cruise anywhere anytime or throw some slicks on and go racing. Thanks and good luck bidding. Folks this is a nice car with a real fair reserve price, also this is not strictly a race car it is street legal driver that I cruise around in all the time.It is in tip top mechanical shape and looks good 2 if you don't like the paint scheme you can change it and still be into the car good at the price im asking for it.This is the last time im listing it,so if you want a 57 that is in good mechanical shape and looks great 2 and gets thumbs up ever time you drive it this is it.None better for the money. |

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else
Sat, 16 Feb 2013The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.
Recharge Wrap-up: Toyota FCV Rally Car To Compete, Barra bullish on Chevy Volt
Fri, Oct 31 2014The Toyota FCV will compete in the last stage of the 2014 Japanese Rally Championship. The sport-tuned hydrogen-powered car will tackle the 177-mile Shinshiro Rally on November 1 and 2, emitting no greenhouse gases in the process. The rally course will help prove the safety of the vehicle before it goes on sale in Japan in the next several months. The Toyota FCV, rumored to be called "Mirai" in Japan, will begin sales there before April, according to Toyota, and in the summer in the US and Europe. Read more in the press release below. Carsharing is becoming more popular, and more visible, throughout the world, including the US. According to WardsAuto columnist John McElroy, 18 percent of US drivers have used some sort of carsharing service. Additionally, he says 60 percent of Americans are familiar with Zipcar and Uber. Mercedes' Harald Kroeger says promotions like free parking for carshares in Stuttgart are encouraging growth for Daimler's carsharing service, Car2go. Read more at WardsAuto. Ethanol is being help up by rail transport, according to ethanol producer Green Plains. More and more stations are carrying E15 blend gasoline, but grain producers have complained that crude oil is given higher priority by the rail lines shipping it, which rail companies deny. Union Pacific and BNSF Railway say they are stepping up service to make sure that ethanol can be shipped reliably to customers. Read more at Omaha World-Herald. General Motors "has placed a significant bet [on] the electrification of the automobile," says CEO Mary Barra. In a speech to the Detroit Economic Club this week, she spoke about the Chevrolet Volt, and its importance to GM's future. While Barra admits the Volt's success has been "not everything we wanted," it has provided experience, and shows that EVs have "an important role in the future of GM." The new Volt is more refined, stores more energy, has longer range, uses less fuel and is a big investment for Michigan. She announced that the new Volt's electric drive system will be built in Warren, and that all of its major components will be made in Michigan. "Silicon Valley doesn't have a corner on the market for innovation, creativity and drive," says Barra. "These qualities exist here – in this region – as well."
