You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally. I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience. I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson. I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event. They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012. I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well. I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites. I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish. I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money. I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it! Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA. MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays. We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing. Our facility is very neat and organized. When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity. We except all trades. If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up. Please also like us on Facebook for updates. The power of networking is amazing! Market I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase. Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character. “I’m putting my money where my mouth is” I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz. I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time. Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public. Overall things were going just fine. However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership. I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership. I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead. Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong? I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks. Description 1956 Chevrolet 210 Custom 4-speed
WOW! WOW! WOW! I’m lost for words!
This is one of the most beautiful 150’s/210’s/Bel Air’s I’ve seen!
Absolute show quality car that runs and drives as good as it looks!
Life for this car started as a 265 2BBL with a 3-speed on the column!
Meticulous frame off rotisserie restoration completed by David Long over multiple years. Only 100 test miles since competition!
It’s believed to have most of the original sheet metal. The body is very straight and it has great gaps. The hood, doors and trunk open and close like a vault!
The paint color combination of PPG Jade Green and Sandlewood looks truly spectacular. This car was painted by a well-known classic car painter and is show quality!
Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as all the glass, glass stainless trim, door handles, mirrors, moldings, bumpers, grille and lights. The bird, hood and trunk emblems and hood bar are all show quality. Besides the body and paint these items are what make it a lot nicer than its competition!
The car sits perfectly on American Racing Torque Thrust wheels that are 15” on the front with 215/60/15 BF Goodrich tires and 16” on the rear with 245/50/16 tires. This wheel and tires combination provides a great ride with no rubbing issues. It also allows some rubber to stick to the pavement when the driver decides to get on the gas and rip through the 4-speed!
The exterior is complimented by a new custom interior that was designed and completed by well-known T.N.T. Custom Interiors in Cortland, OH. The headliner, door panels with arm rests, kicker panels with speakers, bucket reclining seats and center console has all been customized and looks amazing!
Some interior upgrades include a American Auto wire harness and fuse box, painted dash, all new gauges including an Autometer tachometer, ididit tilt steering wheel column with billet levers and Budnick Velocity 15.5” steering wheel. Everything in the interior is new such as the rear view mirror, window felts, seat belts front and back, ignition system, headlight switches, dimmer switches and clock. All the windows roll up and down smoothly!
The trunk compartment is very detailed and looks great. There’s plenty of room for whatever you desire! The engine compartment is very detailed and home to the built 283 V8. Everything in the engine compartment has been restored or replaced. The firewall is very nice and smooth. The inner fenders are new. The hood hinges and springs are also new. This engine was built to be user friendly and that’s exactly what it is. It starts and runs as good as it looks. The custom matching air cleaner puts the icing on the cake!
The engine is a 1967 283 that came out of a Chevelle. It had 70,000 miles before the professional rebuild. Some of the rebuild includes re honed pistons, hardened and seats installed to run on unleaded gas, new rings, rod main and cam bearings and oil pump. The cam grind and intake is from a 1966 327 350HP engine from a Corvette. It has a new water pump, fuel pump, starter, distributor, Power Master 100 amp, pulleys, belts and hoses. The battery also has a power cutoff knob when the car is being stored!
The engine breathes out factory manifolds into a custom 2” dual exhaust system that was bent to fit perfectly. The turbo mufflers give it a great sound that is just right!
The engine is coupled to a close ratio Muncie 4-speed from 1967. It’s been completely rebuilt including new larger synchronizers, gaskets, gear clusters, Hurst Competition Plus shifter and linkage. It also has a new 11” clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. The steel flywheel was re-surfaced!
The rear end is a 12 bolt with posi traction and 3.55 gears that came out of a Camaro. It has been completely rebuilt including all new bearings and seals, cleaned carrier, new ring and pinion gears, etc!
It’s equipped with power steering. It has a new 605 style steering box with matching pump and hoses. This car steers effortlessly and doesn’t sway on the road. The new Budnick steering wheel also feels great when cruising!
The undercarriage of this car is also very detailed and show quality. This is another thing that separates this car from its competition. The undercarriage was stripped to bear metal and everything was restored or replaced.
The chassis was also stripped to bear metal and painted with Bill Hirsh chassis paint. It has all new body mounts and bushings. It also has a new 16 gallon fuel tank with filler tube and stainless fuel lines!
It has an upgraded braking system that consists of a modern brake power booster and master cylinder. It also has Raybesto 12” disc brakes from a Camaro Iroc Z with 3” caliper pistons for great stopping power!
The suspension system has been upgraded with 2” CPP drop spindles and 1” lowering springs. This gives it better handling and a great look!
“As my website indicates I’ve collected and sold many beautiful 1955-1957 Chevy 150’s, 210’s and Bel Air’s. I’ve also seen hundreds of these cars at car shows and auctions over the years. This car isn’t the best but it’s in the top 20% of the cars I’ve seen. The body, gaps, paint and trim work is truly beautiful. All of the glass is also new. I also love the color combination. Sometimes the colors make all the difference and this proves that to be true statement. The great exterior looks flow into the rich looking custom interior. This interior is really sweet and it even smells new. Sitting in the bucket seat with one hand on the Budnick steering wheel and the other on the Hurst shifter is a very cool feeling. The builder David Long kept things real with the engine compartment and built 283 V8. He wanted to build something that was era correct and could be driven anywhere anytime. The 4-speed shifts smoothly and the power is transferred to the pavement through the 12-bolt rear end. The undercarriage is so detailed its worthy of mirrors at a car show. I would challenge anyone to find a comparable car for less! Get it before someone else does!” Marc Schiliro – The Owner
Inspection Report "Unfortunately most classic vehicles that are being advertised for sale by dealers and private parties aren't exactly what's being advertised for sale. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. At MS CLASSIC CARS I own the entire inventory and take pride in what I sell. I'm not a consignment dealer who is only looking to make a quick buck on a vehicle that they don't even own. We’ve seen dealers and private parties purchase classic vehicles at auctions and online and immediately list them for sale. They never even touched the vehicle. Even with 15+ years’ experience and having collected and sold over 250 classic vehicles I’ve experienced that ALL the classic vehicles need some attention. Obviously some need more than others but the bottom line is they all need something. I do the best of our ability to purchase quality classic vehicles, prepare them and advertise them honestly. To be clear were not in the restoration business. I collect and sell classic vehicles that have already been restored and do our best to bring them to another level with service and detail work. Unlike many dealers when you call or email to inquire about a classic vehicle you speak directly to me. I purchases all the classic vehicles for MS CLASSIC CARS, follow the service and detail process, write the descriptions, take the photos, advertise them for sale and answers all the calls and emails. I'll personally go over the entire vehicle and tell you everything I knows about it. I'll also give you my personal opinion about the classic vehicle of your choice and decide if it’s truly the right fit for you.
If you've read the introduction tab or visited myr website you’ll probably agree I'm a bit of a perfectionist and represent very detailed classic vehicles. MS CLASSIC CARS has a great reputation and we continue to raise the bar in the classic car and truck world. These are older vehicles and aren’t new but were doing our best to make them function, look great and honestly describe them. I sell our classic cars and trucks very quickly because consumers see the value.
Once you've committed to purchase a classic vehicle from MS CLASSIC CARS, I'lll make it a very easy process from start to finish. Once the funds have cleared I'll immediately mail the paperwork USPS 2-day air. A CD with the description and photos of the vehicle you purchased will be included in the package. I'll also assist in enclosed door to door transportation. I look forward to working with you. Thank you for the opportunity! " Why buy from MS Classic Cars? What makes MS CLASSIC CARS different from other classic car dealers and from vehicles being marketed privately on the market for sale?

It’s so exciting to search for a classic, purchase one and watch it come off the trailer, add your own touches, take it for a ride or just look at it sitting in the garage after a hard day at work. Classic car and truck collectors aren’t just in the United States but worldwide. The classic car and truck market is growing every day. It’s seen at car shows and auctions, in magazines and on TV shows. Get your new classic car or truck today. You only live once, if you can afford it, do it! I do the best I can to represent my classic cars and trucks. My results, feedback and reputation speak for themselves. Everyone’s opinion of a classic car and truck is different and I encourage questions prior to a purchase. I have a beautiful showroom with excellent lighting and a lift for a complete inspection if requested. Inspections will be scheduled by appointment only. The closest airport is Providence, RI. It’s only a 25 minute ride from the dealership. I can arrange to pick up at the airport. I also have a dealer plate that would allow for a test drive with a valid driver’s license for a serious buyer. Please call 508-557-0152 or email for any questions. Thank you. Sincerely, Marc Schiliro |

GM adds 1,200 jobs at Detroit-Hamtramck plant
Thu, Oct 22 2015General Motors is making a big move at its Hamtramck, MI, factory, announcing it will add a second shift and hire over 1,200 workers within the next several months. It's expected that by early 2016, the factory will employ over 2,800 workers to build the Chevrolet Volt, Impala, Malibu, Cadillac ELR, and by early next year, the new CT6. According to GM Hamtramck spokesperson Courtney Zemke, 40 of the 1,200 positions are for salaried employees, while the remainder will be hourly positions. As for where these employees will go, positions are being made available across the factory, so GM isn't focusing on any particular area for its new hires. It's a similar story behind the hiring surge itself. GM said in its press release that the "second shift is necessary to meet forecasted market demand," a position Zemke reiterated. It's a matter of demand across the plant's portfolio, rather than any one particular product seriously outstripping supply. Naturally, the United Auto Workers is happy with the move. "The workforce at Detroit-Hamtramck is second to none," UAW Local 22 Shop Chairman Don LaForest said in the attached release. "We appreciate the opportunity to expand our UAW-GM family." Hiring is going on now, with the second shift slated to get underway in early 2016. GM's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly to Add Second Shift and More Than 1,200 Jobs Plant will nearly double its workforce by early 2016 2015-10-22 DETROIT – General Motors is nearly doubling its workforce at Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly by adding a second shift and more than 1,200 hourly and salaried jobs. The addition of a second shift will increase the plant's workforce to approximately 2,800 people when hiring is completed. The second shift is necessary to meet forecasted market demand for the five cars produced at Detroit-Hamtramck. "This is the result of the award-winning vehicles Detroit-Hamtramck produces and the confidence GM has in our team to build world-class quality for our customers," said Plant Manager Gary West. Second shift hiring is underway, and the shift is scheduled to begin operations in early 2016. "The workforce at Detroit-Hamtramck is second to none," said UAW Local 22 Shop Chairman Don LaForest. "We appreciate the opportunity to expand our UAW-GM family." The 4.1 million-square-foot Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly opened in 1985. GM has invested $1 billion in the plant over the last six years, making it one of the company's most-agile manufacturing facilities in North America.
GM recalls Cadillac ATS and Chevy Impala for separate issues
Fri, Feb 27 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration added two recalls from General Motors in the government organization's daily update of safety campaigns. Both were for failing to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards but for completely separate reasons. The larger recall covers 58,698 units of the 2013-2015 Cadillac ATS, but it doesn't really carry huge safety concerns. In vehicles produced between April 25, 2012, and February 9, 2015, the controls for the tilt and slide of the moonroof are not recessed enough, as required by federal law. According to NHTSA, it's possible that someone could inadvertently activate the auto-close for the roof panel, which the agency claims increases "the risk of personal injury." Dealers will install a new trim plate that will add the necessary clearance. The other campaign covers 1,177 examples of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala from between November 15, 2012, and May 27, 2014. However, this is actually a repeat of a previous recall on the Chevy and the Cadillac XTS from 2014. The affected Impalas here "were remedied incorrectly" under the earlier campaign, according to NHTSA. On these sedans, it's possible the electronic parking brake might not fully disengage and still remain in some contact with the rotor, which is in violation of federal rules. The fault can cause excessive heat from the brakes that could potentially lead to a fire, according to NHTSA. To fix the problem, dealers will reprogram the electronic parking brake control module. In the affected vehicles, the power-operated roof panels auto-close when the non-recessed "Slide" or "Tilt" switches are pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) No.
Chevy Sail 3 lands in China
Sun, Nov 23 2014Shanghai General Motors took 32 cars to this year's Guangzhou Motor Show, with its Chevrolet Sail 3 leading the way. After putting almost 1.4 million of them into Chinese hands, the third generation of the Bowtie's entry-level sedan wants to "take the nameplate and the segment to a new level." Its new architecture sporting a 1.4-inch longer wheelbase supports a growth spurt of two inches in length and 1.8 inches in width. The exterior also gets "eagle eye-shaped" headlights and "dual-c-element taillights." Under the hood will be either a 1.5-liter DVVT or a 1.3-liter VVT, each of them more powerful and more frugal than previous offerings. Both can be paired with a manual or an automatic transmission, and qualify for listing in China's National Energy-Saving and Eco-Friendly Vehicle Catalogue, as well as a 3,000 renminbi rebate ($490 US). You can read more about it in the press release below, and get more info on the Chevrolet Camaro RS Limited Edition, Corvette Stingray Coupe, Buick Regal GS and Excelle XT also introduced at the show. Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac Take Center Stage at Guangzhou Auto Show - New Chevrolet Sail 3, Camaro RS Limited Edition and Corvette Stingray Coupe make China debut - Buick showcases customized Regal GS and Excelle XT - Shanghai GM announces new telematics strategy featured in upcoming Cadillac product GUANGZHOU, 2014-11-20 – Shanghai GM is displaying 32 vehicles from the Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac brands at the 12th Guangzhou International Auto Show, which begins today and runs through November 29 in Guangzhou. Among the products that are making their China debut are the third-generation Chevrolet Sail 3, Chevrolet Camaro RS Limited Edition and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe. In addition, Buick is showcasing a customized Regal GS and Excelle XT, and Shanghai GM is announcing its new telematics strategy that will be featured in an upcoming Cadillac product next year. Chevrolet Sail 3 Entry-Level Family Car Since its introduction 15 years ago, the Sail has been a driving force in the entry-level family car segment. Nearly 1.4 million Sails have been sold across China. The third-generation Chevrolet Sail, named the Sail 3, will take the nameplate and the segment to a new level when it goes on sale nationwide by the end of this year. Built on Shanghai GM's new-generation small car architecture, the Sail 3 has adopted Chevrolet's new design language. It has a sculpted yet slim exterior with a youthful, dynamic feel.
