1955 Chevy BelAir, the car just under went a full nut and bolt restoration, everything on the car is brand new. When the car was restored no expense was spared and over 150K was spent on the car when done. You can look at the car and see the money spent on it. The car was built by a Rod Shop out of Atlanta Georgia. The car has a fully custom tube chassis. It has all Tubular Control Arms and a Full Ride Tech Air ride suspension. The air ride suspension has a full digital controller hidden in the center console that monitors the ride height. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes and rides on one off chrome foose wheels and new tires. The body is laser straight and finished in beautiful black PPG paint. All the chrome, stainless, and emblems on the car are brand new and straight from yearone. When the car was redone all the rubbers and glass was put in brand new. The Motor in the car is a LS1 with a custom cover and headers, backed by a overdrive transmission so you can drive down the interstate and get great gas mileage. The car has vintage A/C with a chrome condenser that is mounted in front of a aluminum radiator and twin electric fans. The car rides and drives perfect, no complaints, and never runs hot. The interior of the car is one off, and features 4 bucket seats with a full length center console. The interior is finished in all leather. The dash has a custom set of gauges and chrome tilt wheel with inserts in the dash for the a/c vents. The car has XM radio and a monitor in the front of the center console that has touch screen radio and navigation. The car also has LED lights that are hidden in the interior that act as your dome lights when the doors are opened and power windows. Their is pretty much nothing that this car doesn't have as far as new model car features. The trunk of the car is also finished out to match the interior. The car has only been out only a few times, and have taken first place and best of show at each show. Certainly a car that you can be proud of and drive and show. Drive it to the show and take home all the trophy's you want and drive it back home while you sit in the a/c on don't have to worry about MPG. The car is for sale locally and is subject to be taken off if sold. The car is also sold as is with no warranty. Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. There's a press release below with more information as well as a video that explains how it works, with the obligatory dig at the 'Vette's biggest foe.
New GM subcompact SUV spied, could be a Chevy or GMC
Mon, Aug 13 2018GM's pair of subcompact crossovers have been trundling along for a while now. The Buick Encore was the first for Americans in the 2013 model year, and the Chevy Trax that was based on the Encore (an encore of the Encore, if you will) arrived for the 2015 model year. Each has undergone a mild update, but these spy photos could indicate their replacements are in the works. Or not. For starters, we can't be sure which GM brand this new SUV is destined for. Though the timing and its flowing lines could indicate Buick, the thick horizontal bars visible in the grille would indicate otherwise. The next Encore being at least related to this is at least a possibility. Making the case for GMC are those thick grille bars, the fact that it extends far below the lights, and may even rise above them, similar to the Acadia. And that rising beltline isn't that different from that of the Acadia. Arguing against the GMC idea is the Encore, which is almost always sold in GMC-Buick combo dealers. Much as the Acadia was made smaller to eliminate confusion and in-house competition with the Enclave, it's hard to see GM opting to resurrect such an issue at the bottom end of the SUV market. That means we're leaning toward this little SUV wearing a Chevy bowtie. The split grille with a large lower section and small upper section is the brand's current design language, as seen on the new Malibus and Cruzes. The shape is vaguely Equinox-like. And like Buick, Chevy also has a subcompact crossover ready for replacement: the Trax. Now, our photographer reports he's seen another subcompact testing that has Blazer design cues, but in this crossover-hungry market, we wouldn't be surprised if two similarly sized but differently styled Chevy crossovers make the grade. It's a strategy that's working pretty well for Jeep. We'll no doubt be seeing more of these disguised test vehicles milling about the country in the coming months, so perhaps we'll eventually get a better idea of what this is before more official information starts trickling out within one or two years.
