WE HAVE DECIDED TO SELL OUR 1955 CHEVY 210 SEDAN AFTER THINKING LONG AND HARD ABOUT DOING SO.

I AM SURE I WILL REGRET IT LATER.

I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR ONLY 4 YRS BUT HAVE REALLY ENJOYED HAVING IT ,IT HAS TO BE ONE OF OUR FAVORITE CARS MY WIFE AND I HAVE OWNED.

I DO HAVE A COPY OF THE TITLE WITH MY NAME ON IT A THE VIN # I DID NOT DISCLOSE THE VIN DO TO THE SCAMS THAT ARE STARTING UP ON EBAY.

IT IS CURRENTLY REGISTERED TO ME AND INSURED AND HAS A CLEAR CA TITLE.

AND BOTH BLACK CA PLATES

SINCE I BOUGHT HERE IS WHAT I HAVE DONE TO IT.

ONLY SELLING TO MAKE ROOM FOR MY OTHER CARS I AM BUILDING.

1.NEW COKER WHITE WHITE RADIALS THEYHAVE ABOUT 2K MILES ON THEM

2. REBUILT THE STEERING COLUMN IT WAS NOT SHIFTING RIGHT.THE COLUMN SHIFT WAS NOT AS SMOOTH AS IT SHOULD BE SO A REBUILT ONE FROM EKLERS WAS BOUGHT AND REPLACED THE ORIGINAL WITH ANOTHER ORIGINAL 3 ON THE TREE COLUMN SHIFT.

3.CHANGED OIL  AND SERVICED THE CAR ON A REGULAR BASIS.

4.BOUGHT 1 PIECE OF STAINLESS FOR THE PASS REAR DOOR IT HAD DENTS AND LOOKED BAD SO I BOUGHT ONE THAT HAD BEEN ESTORED AND INSTALLED IT THE OTHER ONE IS IN THE TRUNK.

5.CHANGED OUT THE GUAGE CLUSTER DUE TO THE FACT IT WAS DRYING UP AND THE GEARS IN THE SPEEDOMETER WAS HOWLING BADLY EVERY TIME I DROVE IT,I TRIED TO LUBE UP THE GEARS BUT IT ONLY LASTED A FEW WEEKS,SO I BOUGHT A REFURBISHED ONE FROM EBAY THAT HAS A ZERO COUNT ON THE ODOMETER,I THINK NOW IT HAS AROUND 600 OR SO MILES ON IT,THE ORIGINAL ONE IS IN THE TRUNK OF THE CAR WITH 91K AND CHANGE ON IT.

I BELIEVE THAT THE MILES COULD BE CORRECT AT 92K ORIGINAL THATS WHAT I WAS TOLD WHEN I BOUGHT IT FROM THE OWNER,PEDALS DONT SEEM WORN DOWN AND THE CAR DRIVES GREAT VERY TIGHT AND SMOOTH DOWN THE ROAD.

IT ALSO HAS 6 SEAT BELTS ADDED SO YOU CAN TAKE THE WHOLE CREW ALONG FOR A RIDE

THIS CAR HAS HAS A REPAINT AT ONE TIME IN ITS LIFE THE DOOR JAMB COLOR IS A SLIGHT DIFFERENT COLOR THAN THE BODY.

THE PAINT IS SINGLE STAGE AND THE BLUE ON THE HOOD HAS A VERY SLIGHT  OXIDATION,I THINK YOU COULD COLOR SAND IT WITH 2000 GRIT SAND PAPER AND BUFF OUT THE IMPERFECTIONS

THE DASH IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND IS UCUT AND STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIO THAT STILL WORKS GREAT YOU JUST NEED TO LET THE TUBES WARM UP BEFORE THE SOUND COMES OUT,BOTH FRONT AND REAR SPEAKERS WORK ALSO.

THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND RUST FREE NO ISSUES WITH THE FLOOR PANS OR TRUNK PAN,I DO SEE A START OF A LITTLE BUBBLE BY THE BACK BUMPER FILLER BELOW THE TRUNK.

THE ORIGINAL FACTORY RED PRIMER IS STILL IN THE FLOOR UNDER THE MAT WHEN YOU PULL THE TRUNK MAT UP.

ALSO THE ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE IS THERE ALSO FROM 1955 WITH THE YR ON THE SIDE WALL.

THE CHROME IS ORIGINAL AND STILL IN GOOD SHAPE IT IS NOT SHOW QUALITY BUT VERY DRIVER QUALITY,NO PITS ,NO RUST,NO FLAKING,NO HOLES ECT...

THE REAR BUMPER HAS 1 SMALL DING IN IT WAS THERE WHEN I BOUGHT IT ITS WASNT A BIG DEAL TO ME SO I NEVER REPLACED THE BUMPER.

STAINLESS IS STILL VERY NICE CLEAN AND STRAIGHT.

INTERIOR IS GREAT LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REDONE AT 1 TIME,DOOR PANELS,SEATS,HEADLINER,CARPET ECT..STILL LOOKS GOOD.

THE 235 6 CYLINDER RUNS LIKE A FINE SWISS WATCH IT NEVER MISSES A BEAT..

THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT GREAT IF YOU CAN DRIVE A 3 SPEED COLUMN SHIFT CAR

THIS CAR ALSO HAS THE OVER-DRIVE OPTION.

RECENTLY DROVE IT 200 MILES ON A TRIP AND GOT 22 MPG ON THE FREEWAY @ 65 -70 MPH.

THE HEAD WAS REMOVED AND A VALVE JOB WAS DONE WITH HARDENED SEATS FOR TODAYS UNLEADED FUELS WE HAVE.

THE HEATER WORKS ALSO

THE LIGHTS WORK,BRAKELIGHTS ECT...

**THE TURN SIGNALS AND THE FUEL GUAGE ARE NOT WORKING I HAVE A LOG OF MILES I KEEP SO I KNOW WHEN TO PUT GAS IN THE CAR,THAT HOW IT WAS WHEN I BOUGHT IT THE LOG GOES BACK MANY,MANY YRS WITH MILES,PRICE AND GALLONS...THE TURN SIGNALS ARE A GROUND ISSUE MAYBE THEY ARE CORROTED FROM ALL THE YRS ,I USED TO HAVE A RIGHT FRONT BUT THATS NOT WORKING NOW,I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN AND REALLY NEVER HAD A NEED FOR THEM,BUT IT DOES HAVE THE NEW SIGNAL ASSEMBLY IN THE STEERING COLUMN.

THIS CAR DRIVES STRAIGHT A TRUE DOWN THE HIGHWAY,DOESNT PULL SHAKE AND STOPS STRAIGHT AND THE BRAKES WORK VERY WELL.

ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD AND HAS NO CRACKS

WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK GOOD ALSO,EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NEVER DRIVEN IT IN THE RAIN THEY WORK WHEN YOU TURN THEM ON.

PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE BIDDING AND LOOKING AT A OLD CAR ITS NOT NEW SO PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT A NEW 1955 CHEVY,THIS IS A GREAT OLD CAR THAT HAS ALOT OF LIFE LEFT AND IS A TRUE RUST FREE SURVIVOR THAT YOU CAN GET IN AND DRIVE EVERYDAY WITH HAVING TO WORK ON IT IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO.

THE DAY YOU BUY IT IS THE DAY YOU GET INTO IT AND DRIVE IT WITH WRENCHING B4 YOU TAKE IT OUT.

I KNOW I WILL REGRET THIS ,MY WIFE DOESNT WANT ME TO SELL THIS OLD GIRL YET..THIS IS THE ONE EVERYONE LIKES TO TAKE OUT TO DINNER WHEN FRIENDS COME TO VISIT,BUT I AM OUT OF ROOM AND  SOMETHING HAS TO GO,BUT I WILL NOT GIVE THIS CAR AWAY BY NO MEANS IT WILL GET TO RSERVE OR CLOSE B4 IT GETS SOLD.

****PLEASE THIS IS A DRIVER QUALITY 1955 CHEVY 210......THAT IS GREAT TO DRIVE DOWN THE FREEWAY AND GET THUMBS UP TAKE YOU AND THE KIDS TO DAIRY QUEEN ,FOSTER FREEZE ECT...ITS A NICE CLEAN OLD CAR THAT WILL PROB.NOT WIN YOU ANY CAR SHOW TROPHIES BUT IS A HELL OF ALOT OF FUN TO TAKE OUT AND DRIVE,SHOPPING ECT....AND IT WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU GET BACK.I HAVE A FEW CARS THAT ARE SO CHERRY THAT I CANNOT LEAVE IN A PARKINGLOT OR WALK AWAY FROM.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LOOK AT MY EBAY HISTORY IN FACT I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO,I DONT SUGAR COAT CARS TO SELL THEM THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE JUST GREAT OLD CARS THAT ARE A BLAST FROM THE PAST AND ARE ALOT OF FUN TO DRIVE AND NEED THE LOVE THEY DESERVE

I DONT WANT TO KEEP THEM ALL BUT I WOULD LOVE TO OWN THEM ALL ONCE B4 LIFES JOURNEY IS OVER....THIS CAR DESERVES A LOVING HOME AND WANTS TO BE DRIVEN OUT ON THE ROAD,IT IS AS IF IT IS SMILING  WHEN YOU GET HER OUT THERE

I AM VERY PICKY WITH ALL MY CLASSICS AND JUST TRY TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING BEST I CAN....I HAVE BEEN BURNED BY BUYING A CAR FROM PICS AND NOT GOING TO SEE IT IN PERSON BECAUSE I WANTED TO SAME SOME MONEY AND TIME AND NOT FLY OUT TO SEE IT...BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE..THAT I WILL NEVER DO AGAIN...ONE PERSONS CHERRY CAR CAN BE A WHOLE DIFFERENT IDEA FROM SOMEONE ELSES CHERRY CAR...

PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL...TEXT...OR EMAIL ME THRU EBAY FOR ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO OR QUESTIONS OR PICS YOU MAY WANT.

OH ONE MORE THING IF YOU DONT HAVE THE CASH/FUNDS TO PAY FOR THE CAR DO US BOTH A FAVOR AND DONT BID EVER !!!

Question of the Day: Worst year of the Malaise Era?

Thu, Jun 23 2016

The Malaise Era for cars in the United States spanned the 1973 through 1983 model years, and featured such abominations as a Corvette with just 205 horsepower (from the optional engine!) and MGBs with suspensions jacked way up to meet new headlight-height requirements. There were many low points throughout this gloomy period, of course. The horrifyingly low power and fuel-economy numbers for big V8s during the middle years of the Malaise Era make a strong case for 1974 or 1975— the years of Nixon's resignation and the Fall of Saigon, respectively— as the most Malaisey years. But then the GM-pummeling debacles of the Chevy Citation and Cadillac Cimarron could make an early-1980s year the low point. 1979, the year of the ignominious Chrysler bailout? You choose! Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.
