Up for sale today and ready for immediate purchase is another one of our
bagged patina customs. We have continued our high end saga with this
1954 Chevrolet 210 displaying our passion for patina on a beautiful blue
sedan. This project was started a few months ago with a fairly solid
body and many long days which gave us an edge in building this sled in a short amount of
time. The car has been completely overhauled from the ground up without
disrupting the uniquely aged exterior sheet metal, allowing us to give
the rest of the car enough attention to rival most high end show cars.
Our style and standards for building extreme luxury patina customs has
earned us a reputation world wide, and this one will be another for the
books. If you have seen our work and builds in the past or have been in
the shop you know that our work and style speaks for itself. This is a
bad ass sled that's going to take you where you want, when you
want, with many features making it a very enjoyable cruiser at a very
affordable price. Lift it up while your cruising or lay it in the weeds
when your parked its ready at the touch of a switch so don't miss out
they do sell quick.
Keeping a traditional 50's mild custom style in mind we approached
this project with the idea of a building a NEW modern classic . You can
drive this sled in the comfort of ice cold vintage air and heat with the
turn of a billet knob. Sitting behind the tilt wheel you'll be brought
back in time with the custom blue and white interior color combo with
billet controls and trim. The original seats have been recovered using a
white leather grade vinyl in the traditional pleat pattern with the
door panels to match. Everything is new including the door and window cranks,
carpet and headliner. The floor has stinger road kill noise reduction
and heat barrier installed. A Classic Auto Sound reproduction stereo jams out the
tunes while a set of Dolphin electric gauges monitor the engine
system and fuel. A fresh C-4 corvette 350ci engine, detailed and dressed
with vintage style polished accessories, and a serpentine system get it
rumbling with the turn of the key. The ceramic coated headers and custom
mandrel exhaust, tucked away underneath, sound awesome out of the
megaphone chrome tips. It boasts a white-glove detailed engine
compartment and a smoothed firewall all the way to detailed inner fender-wells. No detail was left untouched.
The engine has been freshened up, and resealed in our shop. Everything on
it is new and looks great upon our internal inspection. The engine is stock and runs as great as it looks. The engine has been clad in a base/clear
pearl gold from top to bottom, including all the lines. All brackets have been
powder coated silver. A large 2 row aluminum radiator with electric fans
keep the engine and transmission cool. The Turbo 350 transmission with
23" Lokar shifter get the power to the two-linked late model GM
posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears and disc brakes. The complete front end
is NEW using a Hiedts Mustang II with tubular control arms, power rack,
and power disc brakes with drilled slotted rotors, getting this barge
handling like a touring car. Keeping this sled rolling are 20X8
Detroit Steel wheels trimmed with polished beauty rings, and vintage
spider caps, giving this car the unique look that will
captivate crowds everywhere you drive it. The tires are New 245/35/20. The entire electrical system
is new including the electric wipers. EVERYTHING works as it should, a
complete new wiring harness and fuse block was installed with all connections silver
soldiered and shrink wrapped. The body has all new seals and felts. The
door and quarter glass are new and have new run channels. The trunk of the
car has been mini-tubbed and reconfigured to house the air ride system allowing this car to lay in the weeds when you want to go low. All the tubs and trunk have all
been seam sealed and undercoated underneath to keep noise and water out. A
Viair 480c compressor and five gallon tank, with air max electric valves control the ride height. The air ride system is installed cleanly, leaving you a trunk that is still usable. A bound black
loop carpet has been installed to keep it clean and presentable.
We have engineered this car for constant reliable use and enjoyment. We
are a private shop specializing in the restoration and resale of GM trucks
from the 40-50's and early 50-60's full size cars. Our experience and
meticulous standards are carried throughout each build one at a
time. We do not hide poor work behind fancy photography with a poor
description or lack there of. We describe these cars as thoroughly as we
can and offer as many detailed pictures as eBay will allow. If there is
a special area you would like to see, by all means please ask. I invite
you to my shop to inspect it or discuss other projects we have
available. This car can be MOT certifiable upon request I think all it
will need is safety belts.

We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person. In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car). As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.

Motor Trend admits, "This is an unfair comparison." But that doesn't make it any less fun to watch when they pit a Camaro Z/28 against the Porsche 911 GT3. The former has a 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque shifted through a six-speed manual. The latter has a 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp and 324 lb-ft shifted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Yet those are only the little disparities – the big disparities are mass and money: the Camaro weighs 3,882 pounds and costs $76,150 as-tested, the Porsche weighs 3,267 pounds and costs $145,785. But they're both about hardcore performance, so MT takes them out on the street, to the drag strip, to the parking lot for figure eights and a skidpad test, and finally to Big Willow for Randy Pobst to give his professional assessment. Remember when a lotta people spent a lotta time debating Pirates vs. Ninjas? This is like that, only it's the "haul-ass good-time car" vs. the "track surgeon." Enjoy the debate in the video.

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
