Hello and thank you for taking a look at my listing. I am selling a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo, which has been owned by my family since it was new.

The car is in very nice shape and runs perfectly. Everything on the car works exactly as it should. Air is ice cold. This is very nice basic transportation and will make a fine daily driver for someone. It gets very good gas mileage and has an automatic transmission and gray cloth interior. The car has roll up windows, AM/FM radio with CD player, and rear defroster. I added a trailer hitch to the car so that I could have a bike rack on the car. The hitch has never been used for towing. Being a small 4 cylinder car, the gas mileage is very, very good (approximately 35 MPG - Hwy). I have the original owners manual for the car and clear title on hand.

I have used the car as a daily driver since I acquired it 3 years ago. The car originally belonged to my grandmother, who decided that she no longer felt comfortable driving at her advanced age. I have 3 children (including 2 who are in booster seats) and am selling the car in order to purchase a larger vehicle.

While the car is in very nice shape both mechanically and cosmetically, there are a few little dings and scratches, about what you would expect from a 2004 model. In an effort to be thorough I have added pictures of them to this listing. The car also has a small crack at the very base of the windshield by the driver's side. It does not impede the driver's view. The wheels have hub caps and have some scuffs and scrapes on them. I have included a picture so that you may get an exact picture of what I am speaking about.

The tires are in very, very good condition. I have included a couple of pictures of the remaining tread. I do not think a buyer will be at all disappointed with the purchase of this vehicle. I know that it can be quite difficult to find a car at this price level which you feel will be reliable. We had quite a bit of work done to it at 57K miles, including plugs, wires, hoses, air filter and timing belt replacement.  I honestly can tell you that I would not be uncomfortable selling this car to a member of my family. It has always been a good car for us.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions which you may have. I will answer them to the best of my ability as promptly as possible. Also, if you would like any picture of something which you feel is not shown, please ask and I will attempt to get one over to you.

Payment via Paypal is accepted. A 10% deposit is due within 24 hours of the finish of the auction and the remaining balance is due within 72 hours of the end of the auction. The car is located in the Chattanooga, TN vicinity so please make arrangements to pick the car up in this area. If you like, then you may also contact me to make an appointment to come by and look at the car prior to bidding.

I have listed the car for sale locally as well, so if it sells prior then I will of course end this listing.

Oh...almost forgot.....the child seats shown in the pics will be removed from the car. I just didn't want to remove them prior to selling the car. Child seats are a pain in the caboose to deal with!! :)  The back seat is nice and clean.

Thank you once again for your interest in my auction. Even if you do not intend on purchasing my vehicle I wish you the best of luck in your search for an automobile.

5 classic trucks and their polarizing modern revivals

Sun, Mar 3 2024

EVs are helping eliminate Detroit's gas-guzzling problem. Some revivals of gas-powered classics are getting the EV treatment.  But not every revived model looks exactly like its original counterpart. We're in a new era of hulking Detroit metal, and you can thank EVs. Americans can't get enough of their big, beefy trucks and SUVs. But for many years, some of the biggest gas guzzlers fell out of fashion as gas prices rose and emissions regulations tightened. But in the past few years, some of the most iconic American truck nameplates have been brought back to life with electric motors, like the GMC Hummer. In other cases, as with the Ford Bronco, improvements in engine technology and more interest in rugged adventure vehicles made a gas-powered revival possible. Even some revivals that started as gas-powered, like the Chevy Blazer and the Jeep Wagoneer, are now getting electrified spinoffs. (Even if they don't always look quite as sleek as their original inspiration.) Here are side-by-sides of five classic American trucks and their modern counterparts. The Jeep Wagoneer 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and 2024 Electric Jeep Wagoneer SStellantis After a long wait, Jeep released its revival of the classic Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in 2020. Starting later this year, an electric version of the luxury Jeep SUV will join the Wagoneer lineup. The Chevrolet Blazer A 1973 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVGetty Images, General Motors The Chevrolet Blazer was first rebooted in 2019 as a sporty family SUV. The modern Blazer shares zero resemblance to its boxy, off-roading older sibling, but it has still managed to become one of Chevy's more popular SUVs in recent years. The Blazer EV came later, and was one of the first models GM built on its new Ultium battery platform. The Hummer A Hummer H2 and the 2023 Hummer EV pickup truckGetty Images, General Motors Once the poster child for Detroit's big, bad gas guzzlers, the Hummer got new life as an electric pickup truck in 2021. The Ford Bronco A 1971 Ford Bronco and a 2022 Ford BroncoFord Motor Co. After a rouge group of engineers and designers inside Ford spent years trying to breathe life back into the Blue Oval's boxy off-roader, the Ford Bronco was finally resurrected in 2020 amid a rise in popularity for rugged adventure vehicles. 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
