This is a one of a kind truck that is a blast to drive and very well built. It has been a one owner vehicle up till just the past year. Window sticker and over 40k in aftermarket over the years with receipts.
All power options including sunroof and clean leather interior. Two JL subwoofers in custom boxes under the rear seats, tow package. window tint. cruise control, on-star, LED interior bulbs throughout, etc. Also has fully enclosed and lockable bed that can open up to the cab with rear seats folded down and window can even be quickly released. This truck can haul a 12 foot surfboard with the bed fully closed and locked out of sight and weather!!!!!
Everything was built and tuned by professionals at Vinci Hi-Performance in Orlando FL. Estimated 410 HP and 413 lbs torque. Runs and drives perfect. -Happily cruises 80mph at 2500 RPM and gets 16mpg travelling .
- 5.3L Vortech V8 with only 98k miles

- Hitch system and extra tow hooks in front
- Red Top OPTIMA battery
- Lots of oem parts and pieces extra
- DynoTuned by Vinci motorsports and tuning on the fly by plug and play tuner for more power or a better economical tune
This truck has never been fully run in 4wd since tranny conversion because it still needs a custom driveshaft made for the front and the stick for the transfer case installed. I pretty much got too excited to be back on the road after the long process of the conversion and its never ever been in the position to even need 4wd! Used as a daily driver not a mud truck or anything abusive. Vehicle history report provided above as well to look over its history.
Serious head turner and any Avalanche or Chevy enthusiast will greatly appreciate all the work to make this one of the only 5speed manuals in existence!!!! And its got a super charger to roast the tires too if desired :)
- Interior is near perfect besides sight leather cracking on the drivers armrest approximately 1" by 2". Never smoked in and no stains anywhere.
- Exterior is Very sharp looking and original paint. There are a few tiny chips in the paint and a few scratches but no large dents or dings. Plastics are all in great shape and have great color still. Many become faded and "tiger striped" if not regularly conditioned with Armor All or similar type product. No rust anywhere!
- Motor is perfect running condition and well maintained. No Leaks.
- Transmission gears are all perfect and no grinding or popping out of gear, but the output shaft seal is starting to leak and will need to be replaced soon. Leaks about 10 drops a night and is not effecting anything else but the fluid level of transmission over period of time. Part is only $15 and easy to install and I may get it done before vehicle sale.
- Tires are at least 50% tread and have lasted 20k miles with perfect wear pattern and travel very smooth! Best tires on the market in my opinion if you want big tread but do a lot of highway driving.

Junkyard Gem: 1980 Chevrolet LUV Mikado
Sat, Oct 9 2021During the 1970s and into the 1980s, each member of the Detroit Big Three imported Japanese small pickups and sold them with Ford (Mazda Proceed), Dodge/Plymouth (Mitsubishi Forte), or Chevrolet (Isuzu Faster) badges here. Ford developed the Ranger and killed the Courier for 1983 (though Americans could still buy the Mazda-badged version all the way through 1993), while The General axed the LUV after the S-10 debuted in the 1982 model year. Isuzu sold the same truck as the P'up through 1987, though, and we might as well follow up our recent P'up Junkyard Gem with its LUV predecessor. LUV stood for Light Utility Vehicle, and I've managed to spot a handful in the boneyards over the years. This one now resides in a yard in northeastern Colorado. The Mikado trim package included striped seat upholstery and a sporty steering wheel, plus these cool dash badges. As far as I can tell, no LUV Mikado advertising featured any Gilbert and Sullivan tunes. This one is fairly rusty for Front Range Colorado, and it has endured a bed swap from some other small truck. The engine is the 75-horse Isuzu 1.8-liter. Members of this engine family went into everything from Chevy Chevettes to Isuzu Troopers in the United States. Very unusually for a small pickup during the Malaise Era, this one has a luxurious automatic transmission. Acceleration must have been a leisurely affair in this truck. Air conditioning? Unheard of! Someone stuck every one of their lunchtime apple stickers on the driver's door. After 41 years of work, this truck is done. Come on strong in a LUV of your own!
2015 Chevrolet Trax
Thu, Dec 4 2014After the obligatory product presentation for the 2015 Trax, I caught up with Steve Majoros, Chevrolet's director of marketing for crossovers and cars, and asked him to elaborate on which markets his planners believe will be the hot starters for this tiny CUV. Without much hesitation, Majoros began to click off traditional sales havens for Subaru, namely, New England and the snowy bits of the East Coast, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest. That news might not surprise you, but it did me. Perhaps it's something as basic as the Trax's tall-hatchback looks, or the emphasis Chevrolet put on the urban driving cycle during my test in San Diego. But before my chat with Majoros, I'd considered this a crossover pointed at the Millennial city mouse more than his bumpkin cousin. But a closer look had me re-examining the granola cred of Chevy's smallest crossover. Having spent my fair share of time in New England and around New Englanders, I started by mentally listing the Trax's Subaru-like traits: practicality, thrift, all-weather ability and, well, just a dash of ugliness. (I suppose a hatchback needn't always be ugly to sell in Maine, or Boulder or Portland... but a 'distinctive' face doesn't seem to hurt.) After a day of driving through sunny San Diego and its surroundings, I can say that Trax makes an interesting case for itself against the standard bearers of the L.L. Bean set, but I'm less sure of its argument for young urbanites. The Trax looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. Chevy's has downsized its own, rather conservative crossover styling to fit the proportions of the subcompact Trax; to my eyes, it looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. That's fine for offering a cohesive look for the Chevy family of crossovers, but it seems out of step with the rest of the segment. If the Trax's current competitive set were the cast of a high school-based TV show, the Kia Soul would play the lovable nerd, the Nissan Juke perhaps the outsider musician and the Subaru XV Crosstrek the athletic outdoorsy kid. Chevy may see the Trax as the hipster chick wearing intentionally ironic mom jeans, but to me the styling is a little too on the nose; more like an actual grownup trying to hang with the kids. These mom jeans are genuine. Per my earlier point, that quasi-conservative look may be just fast enough for staid New Englanders, but I have a hard time seeing the bluff, big-Bowtied front end playing in Bushwick or Wicker Park.
