2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Base Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 5.3l on 2040-cars
Toledo, Ohio, United States
2002 chevy avalanche, truck has 167,000 miles currently but is my current daily driver. it has the mighty vortec 5.3 witch has no leaks. Transmission shifts smooth and is not jerky or slipping. also not leaking. This avalanche is 4x4 and I will tell you from the last ohio winter it works awesome. this thing is a beast in 4x4,and even better it can be set to come on automaticly. you will not come out to a puddle in the morning. all four tires are in great shape with about 75% tire tread left. macanicly this truck runs like it still has a ton of life left in it. Interior is also in pretty good shape. it has a hole in the drivers seat (pictured) otherwise its just normal wear and tear. seats are both electric and both have the side air bags. rear seats are in great shape. radio works properly no blown speakers. heating and a/c both work great. it has computerized climate control. set it and forget it. all windows door locks mirrors work great no slow window motors. power mirrors work all ways and they are heated. these avalanches are cool in the fact that the seat folds down the back wall can be removed and presto.....you have a truck. body of the truck is in pretty good shape had a dent on the hood. a dent on the rear passanger door and the owner befor me must have had a disagreement with a pole on the rear of the vehicle. all pictured. the damaged didn't bother me to bad the truck still gets a few heads turned to it. don't thing the damage would cost to much to fix but I do want to disclose it. the rest of the body is in great shape. Please look at all of the pictures. I do have videos that are available of the truck driving . this is a nice family vehicle it got me through the winter and that's what I bought it for. these trucks retain value very well. look on craigslist. The final bid is the purchase price of the vehicle. not negotiable . that meens if you don't have money please don't bid. truck is for sale locally.

Next-gen GMC Sierra spied with diesel power
Tue, Sep 5 2017The next generation of GM trucks is arriving soon, and we're expecting a huge leap forward over the current lineup. The Chevy Silverado and the GMC SIerra sell extremely well, but haven't done much to move the segment forward in a long time. The Ford F-150 has an all-aluminum body and turbocharged V6 power. The Ram 1500 gained a diesel and coil spring suspension. These spy shots show that diesel may be in the cards for GM. Some quick shots and copious use of flash show what is most likely a tank for diesel exhaust fluid and a diesel particulate filter, both necessary equipment for any modern diesel. It's unclear what form factor that engine will come in, though GM has a number of engines to choose from, including the 2.8-liter inline four that's found in the Colorado and Canyon, though that may be a little light duty for the Silverado and Sierra. Other rumors surrounding the trucks suggest a move to an aluminum cab while retaining a steel bed. That seems like a reasonable move for GM, even if the company was attempting to shame Ford for its move to aluminum a few years ago. Look for more news as early as the Detroit Auto Show in January. GM to build outgoing Silverado and Sierra until late 2019
Tue, Nov 6 2018As it has done with previous generations, General Motors is keeping the outgoing versions of its 1500 pickups in production despite the arrival of the all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 GMC Sierra. The production of the previous, K2 generation models will begin to be wound down gradually, according to Automotive News, starting with crew cabs "early next year," and double and regular cab models following during "the early second half of next year." The old model trucks will continue to be built into "late 2019" based on market demand, GM's spokesperson Kim Carpenter said. The Chevrolet will go by the name Silverado LD, with the GMC Sierra designation still to be announced. Some of the outgoing models are built by sharing the assembly work between two GM plants. Partially finished Silverado and Sierra double cab bodies are shipped from Fort Wayne, Ind., to Oshawa, Ont., where the trucks are completed, including receiving paint. This eases the workload in Fort Wayne, where production of the new T1 generation trucks started in July 2018. In January, the Silao plant in Mexico will take on the duties of building new generation regular cab and crew cab trucks. Carpenter also said that the "Oshawa shuttle," as the shared production is called, has been very successful. As a result, 60,000 more trucks will be built than what the original production forecast initially called for. GM's latest quarterly profits, disclosed last week to be $1 billion, have been far higher than expected and will result in full-year profits far higher than what had been predicted in light of steel tariffs. GM isn't the only truck maker taking a similar multi-generation approach for 2019. Both the outgoing and redesigned Ram 1500 are in production, with the previous generation being dubbed Ram 1500 Classic. Related Video:
