Basically, we have it priced at Wholesale, for an immediate sale. We buy our cars right, cut out the huge overhead of large dealerships, and pass the savings on to you. This Roadster is clean, clean, clean! And of course, the Brilliant Crimson Pearlcoat exterior is simply stunning. This XLR has had only one, meticulous owner and it has remained a Florida vehicle its entire life, spending 95% of its life in a garage when not being driven....top up, or top down, this is an extremely distinctive automobile. This is the rare opportunity that you have been waiting for....in fact, dreaming of! Perfect high-gloss Red exterior (with original hand-laid Carmel pinstripe), along with a Light Shale leather interior and elaborate Zabrano wood trim. The original finish is beautiful and the interior is in excellent condition as well....Just what you would expect from a Florida-kept Sport Car. This is a RARE automobile and equipped with all the right options. It has a High-power BOSE audio system with CD and 8-speakers including headrest-mounted speakers, Factory Navigation, factory 18-inch polished aluminum/alloy wheels, dual independent climate control, heated seating, dual power seats (with Memory), Keyless Go, Touch entry, Wood and Leather wrapped Steering wheel and shift knob, Rear Parking Distance Control, Head's Up Display, Headlight Washing System, OnStar system, Keyless remote entry, factory security system and so, so, so much more. These are just some of the options. I have to admit, I love this incredible hard-top convertible Sports Car. It looks, runs, drives and performs awesome. The retractable hardtop is extremely easy to use, with just the touch of a button. And the two individual roll bars give this modern Roadster a great Vintage feel. Looks and stares everywhere! You just don't see these XLR's around very often. And we just installed a complete set of premium heat-and-speed rated 18-inch ZR rated All-season performance radials all the way around. They are brand new (with less than 50 miles on them) and the tire size is 235/50ZR18. This is an impressive footprint! And with electronic stability control, and 325 factory horsepower from this throaty and powerful V8, this XLR accelerates, handles, stops and corners, as good as it looks. Being a Florida vehicle has many benefits. No harsh weather, no harsh roads. No salt, no snow....you get the picture. And no rolling hills. Your transmission will certainly thank you for that. This car drives like it has 40,000 miles on it. Please do your research and see what an exceptional deal this is for that special person that wants a mint condition sports car, at over 70% off the list price. No disappointments. We can help arrange transport anywhere in the US, or abroad, and most of our auctions end with the Buy-It-Now option. They almost all do!--Why?? Because we price our car at incredible savings. (Please see our feedback). Complete set of mats, both master key and remote, as well as Valet key, and the original books and manuals that came with this XLR when new. Don't wait, this is the deal of a lifetime. Iris and John took very good care of their Roadster, and they just traded it in on a brand new Mercedes-Benz Convertible. (They obviously have great taste!) They serviced it properly, and we just went through the entire car. New Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil change, new filter, new interior cabin filters, new air filter, new wiper blades, cooling system flush, 4-wheel digital alignment.....this car is ready to go! Cross-country, or to you local Country Club. Of course, it has both a Crystal Clean CarFax and AutoCheck Vehicle History Report, with absolutely no accidents or accident history of any kind, as well as no title issues. We have the clean, clear, one-owner Florida title in-house, ready for immediate transfer to the lucky new owner. The latest August 2014 NADA Used Car Guide shows the retail value of this 2006 Cadillac XLR to be upwards of $23,680 and certainly much more at your friendly neighborhood Cadillac dealership, or local high-image Import Auto Boutique. Do yourself a favor and see what these automobiles are selling for and then see what an exceptional offer this is. We have it priced for an immediate sale. Don't wait, or it will be gone. This is a great, great car. In excellent overall condition. It was owned by a lovely couple from Cape Coral, Florida...that's South Florida, where the homes are in the Million dollar range (and often, Multi-million dollar range). And you can look like a millionaire, on a Toyota Camry budget. (no offense Toyota owners). Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions you may have. I'm happy to help. I can also do a complete walk-around the vehicle for you and answer all your questions. Don't miss out on this best-color combination XLR Roadster. This Roadster is super-hot! Best luxury SUVs of 2022 and 2023
Mon, Sep 12 2022Once upon a time, the idea of a luxury SUV meant a Range Rover, and even that was pretty agricultural by modern standards. Then Jeep Grand Cherokees and Ford Explorers started offering fancy, range-topping versions followed soon by Lexus, BMW and Mercedes dipping their toes in the water. And then the floodgates opened. Today, there is a staggering number of luxury SUVs available in every shape, size and price point. There are electric luxury SUVs like the Tesla Model X and Jaguar I-Pace, as well as gas-swilling, high-performance SUVs like the BMW X5 M and Cadillac Escalade V. Sports car makers Porsche, Aston Martin and Lamborghini have even dived in. But of this great many, which are the best luxury SUVs? We sat down, scoured our reviews, took some votes, had some discussions and came up with the luxury SUVs we view as the best. They are listed alphabetically within the six segments listed below. Best Subcompact Luxury SUV  |  Best Compact Luxury SUV  |  Best Midsize Luxury SUV (Two-Row) Best Midsize Luxury SUV (Three-Row)  |  Best Flagship Luxury SUV (Two-Row)  |  Best Flagship Luxury SUV (Three-Row) Best subcompact luxury SUVs Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class Why it stands out: Outstanding space and versatility; legit luxury interior; amusing GLB 35 versionCould be better: Overwhelming and confusing tech interface Most subcompact luxury SUVs are a dubious value, with cramped interiors of marginal quality and unrefined driving dynamics. You'd be much better off paying less money for a loaded, non-luxury compact SUV. The Mercedes GLB is different, though. Its boxy design provides space few other subcompact SUV can match (luxury or otherwise), while its cabin design and feature content are in keeping with pricier Mercedes models. The quality's not exactly up to GLC standards, nor is driving refinement, but the difference is appropriate for how much you're saving and still perfectly acceptable. There's nothing dubious about buying a GLB.   Volvo XC40 Why it stands out: More features for the money; spacious and versatile interior; distinctive design; electric versionCould be better: Fuel-efficient base engine only available with FWD Most subcompact luxury models feel a bit like cheap knockoffs of their bigger, pricier brand mates. The XC40, by contrast, is a break from the Volvo norm in a good way.
2016 Cadillac CTS-V First Drive [w/video]
Fri, Jul 31 2015A million insects lost their lives today. Boxelder bugs and mayflies making the ultimate sacrifice in Elkhart Lake, their carapaces no buffer against a rocketing rectangle of safety glass. Their bodies gorily streaking into spangles along the diamond-faceted face of the Cadillac CTS-V. Road America is a four-mile ribbon of pavement snaking its way through the emerald center of the country's northern heartland. Since the 1950s it's seen uncountable fields of diverse racing machinery rocket over its hills and around its 14 corners. I would imagine that on those occasions the tramping of onlookers and hubbub of vehicles, both competitive and commonplace, would dissuade a great number of our six-legged friends from making their way onto the track. But today it's just me turning laps. Inconceivably just one journalist, driving the baddest roadgoing Cadillac ever made, on one of the loveliest circuits America has ever carved out. So big-winged bugs made it out to me in a vast array and a tragic sum, and I drilled through them oblivious to anything but one of the greatest days of driving I've ever had. Cadillac has turned its CTS-V from a performance sedan to a monster. For 2016 Cadillac has turned its CTS-V from a performance sedan to a monster worthy of the carnage described above. The words "epic" and "awesome" are hilariously overused on the Internet, but in the case of the CTS-V's 6.2-liter supercharged V8, their literal meanings are fitting. The capacity to produce 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque is astounding. Feeling those outputs come to growling life under my foot arch, uncorks different reactions in my brain as the day wears on: first trepidation, next cautious optimism, finally red-eyed bloodlust. A glance at the power and torque curves will show you that the charged V8 behaves more like a naturally aspirated thing than a turbo'd on/off switch. Peak torque arrives at 3,600 rpm, horsepower at 6,400, giving the engine lovely, linear power delivery. Even with top torque happening near the middle of the tach, there's no small amount of the stuff when the engine first spins up, so launching all 4,145 pounds of Detroit iron still feels exotic. Launching all 4,145 pounds of Detroit iron still feels exotic. On the roads around Wisconsin, using all of the available power is hardly advisable, but I have no trouble driving this fast car slowly (sort of).
2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe First Drive
Tue, Aug 5 2014Save for a few years of its century-plus existence, Cadillac has offered its unique brand of American elegance in two-door, fixed-roof bodystyles. Most of these cars were big, floaty barges, of course, though its most recent offering was the wedge-shaped CTS Coupe. But whereas the CTS Coupe was a statement car – angular and severe, with somewhat limited appeal except to design snobs and provocateurs – the ATS Coupe represents a return to form for Cadillac, with a proper three-box (engine-cabin-trunk) body and a slightly lower price point that should broaden its appeal among a larger swath of the market. Generally speaking, the 2015 ATS Coupe is a two-door version of the sporty ATS Sedan, though, surprisingly, the only common exterior components are the hood, headlamps, and sundry trim pieces on the front fascia (which features a slightly larger grille, a wider lower air intake, and the redesigned, laurel-less Cadillac crest). Even the mirrors are different. The body stretches 0.8 inches in length and 1.4 inches in width, the roof is 1.1 inches lower and the rear windscreen slopes at a flatter, sleeker angle. Interestingly, the windowsills are actually quite a bit lower, further slimming the car. Thanks to its 0.8-inch wider front and rear wheel tracks as well as more tumblehome in the C-pillar area, the coupe sits lower and looks more planted than the ATS sedan, particularly from the rear three-quarter view. Filling the wheel wells is a family of slick 18x8-inch wheels, with 18x9-inchers coming on the rear axle of performance models. Even if all those changes haven't resulted in a wholly new look the way the CTS Coupe departs from its sedan progeny, the ATS two-door is a truly beautiful car that looks considerably better on the road than on a show stand. And for that, Cadillac deserves mighty praise. The ATS two-door is a truly beautiful car that looks considerably better on the road than on a show stand. It is a proper coupe, of course, and as such is saddled with the expected limitations that accompany modern two-door packaging, notably rear seat access and limited rear headroom. Since the floorpan is common to both bodystyles, rear legroom is the same as the sedan's, though headroom shrinks a considerable 1.8 inches, making it hard for even average-sized adults to sit back there without their heads touching the window glass.
