VERY CLEAN 1980 CADILLAC SEVILLE

Vehicle has no rust, 97k original miles and is 100% Original

I acquired the car from an estate. I was told the gentleman who owned it prior purchased it at our Cadillac dealership in 1989. He unfortunately passed away approx 2 1/2 years ago and the car sat in the garage until I purchased it a couple of months ago

I replaced the following: fuel pump, battery, coolant, thermostat, heat exchange valve, distributor cap/ rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, oil/ filter, transmission fluid, transmission pan gasket, muffler and tailpipe, front corner and rear bumper fillers, sway bar links, headliner, hood and trunk lift supports and the oil pressure sending unit

I also gave it a complete detail and ran fuel injector treatment through it

It now looks and drives great. Being as it is 34 years old, it isn't perfect. It still needs the left rear window regulator, I accidentally cut the holes for the handles in the headliner approx 1” too large (patched mistakes), the rear bumper fillers aren't a perfect fit and I'm still working on getting the A/C running. I'm selling the vehicle As-Is. I will try to get the A/C working properly, but can't spend several hundreds to do so

Feel free to call/ text 515.783.7077 with any questions or to discuss the vehicle further. I would be happy to pick the buyer up at the airport or assist with transport. I have a great transport broker

Cadillac Elmiraj Concept slinks in Leno's Garage

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Jay Leno's Garage has moved to Pebble Beach for the week. This time around, the affable comedian is taking a look at the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept that debuted during the Monterey car week, and is talking to General Motors vice president of global design, Ed Welburn.
There's plenty of reminiscing about what concept cars were like when these two were kids, before a fairly deep dive into the striking Elmiraj Concept itself. Welburn shares a few anecdotes about the design process behind the two-door concept, including how his designers changed his mind on the grille design.
After bringing up the Cimarron, Leno makes a solid point that the Elmiraj would be a solid production car that could even spawn a four-door variant. We couldn't agree more. Take a look below for the full video from Jay Leno's Garage.

Cadillac dealers frustrated over Escalade production snarls

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Lincoln went through it during the launch of the MKZ last year, Jeep went through something similar with its Cherokee launch, and now the 2015 Cadillac Escalade has apparently caught the bug: dealer delivery delays because of quality control checks. Automotive News reports that Cadillac dealers have been waiting three times longer than usual - a month or more - from the time an Escalade leaves the assembly line to when it gets delivered. Worse, dealers are saying they don't always know where their vehicles are in transit, or when they are set to arrive. The situation has upset customers who have put down deposits and things have gotten so bad that some dealers have reportedly stopped taking pre-orders.
Cadillac says it has the delay, called "dwell time," down to two weeks, and it expects to cut that to a week by the beginning of September. The company said "a lengthy quality-assurance process on some interior parts" has caused the lag, the report citing additional issues with figuring out which vehicles should be delivered first. A spokesman said that more trucks have been put in the distribution system to work through the backlog, but it's clear it's still going to take some time to set things right, with one dealer telling AN that cars ordered in February and March still haven't arrived.
Brand chief Kurt McNeil said additional personnel are at the Escalade's Arlington, Texas factory to speed up the checks, and spreadsheets tracking every order have been distributed to field staff. Even with the snafu, though, the Escalade is Cadillac's best seller through July.

2014 Cadillac ELR whirs into Jay Leno's Garage

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

While Jerry Seinfeld was gallivanting around LA with Sarah Silverman in a Jaguar XKE, our favorite car-loving comedian, Jay Leno, was checking out the all-new 2014 Cadillac ELR. Set to go on sale later this year, Cadillac brought its ELR to Jay Leno's Garage to show off some of its styling and technology as well as give Leno some seat time in the range-extended EV. Leno owns both a Volt and a CTS-V, and the ELR is a kind combination of the two (sort of).
In this episode, Leno spends some time talking to Frank Saucedo, GM director of advanced design, and ELR chief engineer Chris Thomason before logging a few miles on the sleek coupe. Interestingly, it seems that GM has definitely changed its tune a little since the introduction of the Volt a couple years ago; Saucedo and Leno both refer to the ELR as a hybrid, and Thomason says that it gets the "bulk of its propulsion" from the electric motors. Whatever you want to call it, scroll down to watch the latest episode of JLG with some great information and driving shots of the plug-in Cadillac.
