2001 CADILLAC SEVILLE STS WITH MOONROOF & 17" CADILLAC WHEELS.

THIS IS THE STS SPORTS SEDAN! NOT THE PLAIN SLS. THE CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION IN & OUT. RUNS AND DRIVE GREAT! I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS CAR CROSS COUNTRY TOMORROW IF I NEEDED TO.

THIS CAR REALLY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT. THE PAINT HAS A NICE SHINE TO IT. ONLY THING TO MENTION IS 2 DINGS ON THE DECK LID. THEY WOULD NOT SHOW UP IN THE PHOTOS. THEY CAN BE EASILY REMOVED BY A PAINT-LESS DENT REPAIR SPECIALIST FOR AROUND $100. ALSO THE PAINTED PINSTRIPE IS STARTING TO FADE ON THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE FENDER. BOTH OF THESE THINGS ARE MINOR. BUT I THOUGHT I SHOULD MENTION IT.

THE INTERIOR IS SUPER CLEAN! LEATHER SEATS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE! NO RIPS OR TEARS ANYWHERE. ALL POWER OPTIONS WORK AS THEY SHOULD. A/C IS COLD! HEAT IS HOT! PLUS IT HAS THE DUAL ZONE CLIMATE CONTROL & HEATED FRONT & REAR SEATS.

THE CHROME OEM 17" RIMS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. NO FADING, PEELING OR CURB RASH. THE TIRES HAVE AT LEAST 60% TREAD LIFE LEFT. PROBABLY MORE.

THE ENGINE IS QUIET. RUNS VERY SMOOTH. LOW MILES FOR THE YEAR. NO ISSUES WITH OIL LEAKS OR OVERHEATING! THE CAR HAS BEEN VERY DEPENDABLE FOR ME.

WHILE THIS IS A VERY NICE CAR. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND IT IS NOT A BRAND NEW CAR. IT IS A GREAT CAR, AT A GREAT PRICE, THAT IS GOING TO MAKE IT'S NEW OWNER VERY HAPPY.

THIS CAR IS DRIVEN 20-25 MILES DAILY. SO THE MILEAGE WITH BE SIGHTLY DIFFERENT THAN LISTED.

FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME YOUR QUESTIONS. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE.

PLEASE HAVE ALL FUNDS AVAILABLE & ASK YOUR QUESTIONS BEFORE MAKING AN OFFER.

IT IS FOR SALE LOCALLY. SO THE LISTING MAY END AT ANY TIME.

THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY STS & HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Despite strong profits, GM still fighting flat market share

Fri, Jan 17 2014

Looking at the progress General Motors has made since it entered bankruptcy, it's easy to forget that the company still has a long way to go before it's the juggernaut it once was. A recent report from Reuters points out that, while GM is making money, it isn't making any gains in terms of US market share. Quite the opposite, really. Consider this factoid: In 1963, nearly half of the cars sold in the United States were from Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC or Pontiac. Now, the company's US market share is stagnant at 17.9 percent. That same number is half of just Chevy's 1963 market share. This is all despite GM going on a binge replacing or updating its models. "Market share increases are not instantaneous," Mark Reuss told Reuters at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. "We've got a lot of baggage. Don't underestimate what people though of us, or these brands, through these hardships and 30 years." The reasons for the stagnant market share are numerous. Reuters points out that retooling of factories and a focus on limiting incentives are both good things for profit, but not necessarily for market share. There's also the troubling turnover of the brand's marketing department. These issues don't change the fact that Chevrolet has lost 1.4 percent of its market share in two years, and that Cadillac - arguably GM's most improved brand overall - has lost 1.2 percent in the same period. Part of that can be blamed on GM's avoidance of fleet sales in favor of more profitable customer sales. "Our focus has really been on retail and that's where we've got the growth," said Alan Batey, GM's interim global marketing boss. "We want to grow GM and that means growing market share and profits, but it's not at all costs," Reuss said. Brock Lesnar does M. Bison impression on Cadillac CTS

Fri, Jul 10 2015

There's no doubt that a huge amount of physicality is required to survive night after night in the ring as a professional wrestler. Conversely, the storylines that tie all the action together are as staged as any soap opera. However, there's nothing fake about watching two axes being embedded in a Cadillac CTS by WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar. Lesnar's prodigious brawn was really putting this luxury sedan out of its misery, though. With matte black stripes on the hood, fake fender vents, camouflage along the side, and a decal proclaiming "Redneck" on the windshield, this particular Cadillac was far from the standard of the world. In favor of the CTS' build quality, Lesnar's hatchets didn't immediately do quite as much damage as you might expect, and he had to take several swings to achieve the destruction here. If you think that destroying a sedan one piece at a time sounds like something from a video game, you aren't alone. Someone else noticed a definite similarity to the bonus round from Street Fighter 2 where you get points for beating up a car at the dockside until it falls apart. Appropriate sound effects were even added, but having Lesnar throw a few pixelated fireballs would have been a nice inclusion, too. For the significantly longer, original version, check out the one embedded below. After Lesnar crushes the CTS, the actual wrestling does eventually ensue. The Caddy even briefly acts as a prop for some of the action.

Cadillac recalls ELR coupe over stability control problems

Fri, 28 Mar 2014

Cadillac is recalling about 656 2014 ELR models made between September 26, 2013 and February 14, 2014, because of a fault with the electronic stability control system. On cars without adaptive cruise control, it's possible that diagnostics could prevent the system from telling the driver if ESC is on or off.
Cadillac has a software fix ready and repairs begin on April 17. Alan Adler, General Motors' recall and legal spokesperson, tells Autoblog that only about 55 of the affected cars are in the hands of owners. The rest are either on dealer lots or still at the factory. There have been no reported injuries or crashes caused by the fault.
The correction for the stability control system involves a software recalibration of the electronic brake control module that takes around 20 minutes to perform. While they use the same platform, the Chevrolet Volt isn't involved in this recall because it "uses a different a brake control module," said Adler.
