2000 Cadillac Seville Sts Wow ~!~ Lo-miles, Super Clean, You Might Buy This Car! on 2040-cars
Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States
this is a great car, period ~!~ I was so happy to take this home and enjoy the ride. I have it at home and actually forward to going to work, at the drive in and back. clean, comfortable, bright shiny paint, crisp lines, comfy leather, full power, moon roof and more. miles are correct at 111k. horn, wipers, lights, glass, heat, gauges, dash are all A-OK. memory seats, keys, remotes, booklets, stereo, factory alloys, premium Good Year tires, leather, FWD, wow !! a loaded car from a decade ago. I drive cars everyday, but not too often a cool old Caddy... although full size, the front drive, great seating, hush quiet engine, supple suspension; it might as well be an old Lexus. it simply drives that well. motor is super smooth and quiet; you might not even know it is running - twice I had to check the dash just to see if the motor was on. wonderful and clean, odor and damage free interior. bright and straight panels. pearl white paint, clean top, bottom and sides. please see all photos. this is virtually a ding, dent, damage, scratch and rust free car. starts with a gentle flick of the key, eases right into gear, pulls out and cruises with total control. drives like a dream around town or at 70mph on the highway. easy to operate, drives straight on and brakes with confidence. no worries here, and no shame to the game. look like a million for pennies on the dollar. this is also the STS package and has unique gold badging. to be picky, the tires have great tread, but look to be a few years old. the ashtray is a bit dirty, but I believe a non smoker's car. the mats do show some signs of use and age, but are average to above, as is the interior in general, and the car overall. drive it here, drive it there, drive it home. no lights out, no check engine, no this or that. this is a small V8 and performs very well. tranny shifts out fine and normal. just remember it is an older car and surely not perfect, but please see all photos. I took every good and bad shot I could, even from down below.
I have bought and sold over 100 cars on eBay, and I am happy to continue. most of these cars for sale are new car dealer trades and or on consignment. as such, I am trying to avoid and keep down the number of re-lists, or not completed sales by high bidders. please do not bid or buy if you are short on cash, have many un-asked question or can't make arrangements with me regarding prompt payment and pick up. I can help with shipping, transport, motor vehicle paperwork, storage... all at little to no extra cost. happy to help, but please let me know ahead of time if you have an unusual situation ~!~ at time of pick up, you can expect car, keys, title, bill of sale, emission report, key(s), CT DMV Q-1 and booklets as available. on occasion, especially last minute or weekend schedules, the title may have to follow within the next business day or two, just to allow payments to clear. I am 40 miles north of NYC, just off exit #24 of i-96 in Fairfield, CT on the Bridgeport line. feel free to come by and say hi. emails and phone calls are welcome. this Caddy is darn near a one of a kind and hard to find. it will be easy to sell but hard to replace. please jump in and make a bid ~!~ j. bettes 800 Clinton ave bridgeport, CT 06604 |

Cadillac back on track with 600-hp ATS-V.R racer in FIA GT3 spec [w/video]
Fri, 14 Nov 2014There was already a rumor brewing that Cadillac might eschew the CTS as its racecar next season in favor of the ATS Coupe. It turns out that is absolutely the case, and now we know just what this 600-horsepower, future racer looks like. The coupe might not be limited to competing in just the US, though, because it's built to FIA GT3-specifications, meaning that this Caddy is also eligible to race in over 30 series worldwide against the likes of Bentley, McLaren, Audi and other premium brands.
The heart of this massively winged Cadillac is an engine dubbed the LF4.R. It's based around the unit in the production ATS-V and CTS Vsport but with larger turbos, bigger intercoolers, side exhausts and other tricks. Cadillac claims it makes a monstrous 600 hp and 520 pound-feet of torque in unrestricted form.
As the photo above shows, the ATS-V.R also wears an aggressive aero kit with a carbon fiber front splitter, and a wing at the back that could probably double as a picnic table in a pinch. The dry weight of the whole package is quoted at about 2,900 pounds, which is around 700 pounds less than the street version.
Why the 2015 Detroit Auto Show will be the best since The Crisis
Tue, Dec 30 2014The Detroit Auto Show clearly has its swagger back, and the 2015 edition will be a veritable feast for the enthusiast senses. We're talking serious performance, and it will be exhibited in a variety of forms. Sports cars. Supercars. Muscle-bound luxury cars. They're all set for splashy debuts in January in the Motor City. It's another signpost that companies have recovered from the global economic crisis that gripped the industry from 2008-09. For a while, automakers played it safe at Detroit and other shows. Environmentally friendly cars were important, especially for General Motors and Chrysler that were living on loans from Uncle Sam. Ford, Toyota and other companies generally focused on their best-selling or core models. With a few notable exceptions, recent auto shows have been a bit more buttoned-down than in the past. Boring probably isn't the right word, but austerity has been reality. That's changing. Car companies are making money. Sales are up. Aside from the many nagging recalls – and they are notable – the industry now has the time and energy to make performance cars a priority. That will be offered in hard evidence in Detroit. A year from now when we look back at this auto show, we'll sum it up with one word: Horsepower. But make no mistake, this isn't frivolous. Sports and luxury cars are expensive. They're profitable. They boost images and highlight strengths. With that in mind, here are five significant performance-oriented reveals to watch for when the show kicks off in less than two weeks. 2016 Acura NSX Acura's reborn NSX is a strong bet to earn plenty of votes for our Editors' Choice awards. It's one of the most anticipated – and strung-out – reveals of the year. Think back: we actually saw an NSX concept at the 2012 Detroit show, and Acura has spent the last three years teasing the car in a variety of ways. The slow burn, however, means we know a lot about the NSX. It's will use a mid-mounted twin-turbo hybrid powertrain and run with all-wheel drive. It will also wear an innovative zirconium e-coat paint, a new paint process that Honda says is more environmentally friendly. Honda has also said it will build the new NSX in Ohio, where a large part of the car's development work has been done. The original NSX was produced from 1990-2005 and helped establish Acura's performance credentials in the United States. It was a landmark car and a shot across the bow of Ferrari, Lamborghini and others.
Liberace's gilded Cadillac could be yours
Tue, 27 Aug 2013With their chrome grilles and oversized wheels, it's hard not to notice a Cadillac these days. But this one is even more blingtastic on account of the 23.75-karat gold-leaf bodywork.
The 1931 Cadillac Golfer's Drop Head Coupé is said to have belonged to the inimitable performer Liberace, who didn't just have it covered in gold - he also had the exterior door handles plated in silver and the inside handles in 24-karat gold as well. It's also got a white leather interior and headlights that - well ahead of their time (if you'll pardon us, Mr. Tucker) - pivot with the steering wheel. All that bling is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that pales in comparison to the seven, eight and even nine-speed gearboxes appearing on luxury sedans today.
The project was undertaken over the course of three years in the 1970s by one Jack Smith from Kansas. Smith (if that was his real name) sold it at auction in 1975, and it was most recently displayed for 12 years at a museum in Germany which claimed it was Liberace's own. The car is now going up for sale by Barons' at the Sandown Park horse racing track in Surrey, England, on September 17, when bidding starts at 85,000 pounds - equivalent to over $130,000 at today's rates.
