1997 Cadillac Seville Sls Sedan 4-door 4.6l (mint Condition & Low Mileage) on 2040-cars
South Amboy, New Jersey, United States
1997 Cadillac Seville SLS "A True Beauty" This is a gorgeous Seville that has been magnificently maintained. This Cadillac has only 82,719 original miles. This Seville runs and drives beautifully, and there aren’t any service warning lights on. The 4.6L V8 engine runs very strong and smoothly, and the automatic transmission shifts perfectly. This car drives like a dream. The White Diamond exterior of this beauty is super glossy and brilliant over the entire body. There aren’t any dents or scratches on the body at all, and there isn’t any body rust at all. Both of the bumpers are in excellent condition. The alloy wheels are nice and clean as well. This car has been treated like the queen she is. The interior has been very well maintained and is in terrific condition. All of the leather seats are soft and supple. The carpeting is super clean and fluffy throughout this vehicle. There aren’t any holes or damage on the seats or carpeting in this Seville. All of the trim panels and trim pieces are intact, tight without any cracks or damage. The Vehicle history report is clean without any accident or damage history. The title is clean and clear without any liens. This is a beautiful car in excellent condition and is a head turner, everywhere I go people comment on what a beautiful car it is and are always shocked that its 17 years old. She has been pampered and well taken care of since she was new. I am the second owner. The previous owner was a 87 year old woman, I purchased this beauty on September 1, 2010 with only 29,451 miles. I installed an aftermarket Navigation and Bluetooth and I have all repair records, below is a list of major repairs I have done:
I have also done other minor repairs and changed the oil every 3,000 miles, all records available. The only flaw these cars are known for is the head gasket. When I had the Oil Pan gasket repaired, I also had the head gasket done at the same time. This car has brought me joy for many years and it will continue to bring it's new owner the same for many years to come. I have seen many Seville's the same age with double the mileage which are selling or have sold for a lot more than I am asking. This Seville is being sold locally, so I have the right of ending this auction at any time. |

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
2019 Autoblog Technology of the Year finalists revealed
Fri, Jan 4 2019Every fall, we line up a range of new models with the latest and most compelling automotive technology from the past year. We test everything from semi-autonomous systems like Tesla's Autopilot to trick suspension setups like the Multimatic spool-valve shocks on the Chevy Colorado ZR2. We spend months paring down the list to a small group of contenders. After testing, dinner and healthy debate, we tally up the votes and name our winner. For Autoblog's 2019 Technology of the Year Award, our three finalists are the Cadillac CT6 with Super Cruise, the Infiniti QX50 with Variable Compression Turbo and the Mercedes-AMG E 53 with EQ Boost. Super Cruise is an advanced SAE Level 2 semi-autonomous system, though Cadillac (unlike some of its rivals) is reluctant to push that point. Cadillac would like you to think of this as an advanced driver assistance feature rather than a semi-autonomous system. Super Cruise allows completely hands-free highway driving. Thanks to a driver-facing camera, the system forces the driver to keep his or her eyes on the road even if hands are off the wheel. Although the CT6 is being discontinued, look for Super Cruise to make its way to other Cadillacs soon. VC Turbo is a little more complicated. Basically, Infiniti's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four can vary the compression ratio on the fly. In general, turbocharged engines are more efficient than naturally-aspirated engines when on boost, but can perform worse at low revs. VC Turbo allows for a best-of-both-worlds situation, increasing the compression at low revs and backing it off once the turbo spools up. The best part is that it does so seamlessly, with only a dash readout letting you know what's going on under the hood. Our third finalist is the EQ Boost 48-volt system in the Mercedes-AMG E 53. Like VC Turbo, EQ Boost does a lot just beneath the surface. Mercedes has developed a new turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six and paired it with a small electric motor. While the car can't run on electricity alone, the motor helps improve both efficiency and performance, smoothing shifts and filling in low-end torque before the turbos spool up. Think torque fill, similar to a McLaren P1. Who can complain about better fuel economy and more torque? Look for the 48-volt system to make its way into most of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The winner will be revealed next week on Autoblog, and we'll present the award Jan. 15 at the Detroit Auto Show. Related Video:
GM will recall more than 3.3 million vehicles in China for suspension defect
Sat, Sep 29 2018BEIJING (Reuters) - General Motors' joint venture in China, Shanghai GM, will recall more than 3.3 million Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac vehicles stating Oct. 20 because of a defect with the suspension system, China's market regulator said on Saturday. GM Shanghai said in a text message to Reuters that the suspension arm may be deformed under extreme operating conditions, but there are no known casualties related to the issue. The recall includes cars produced between 2013 and 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation said in a statement. GM will contact those affected and repair the vehicles free of charge, it said.
