1997 Cadillac Seville in Sea Foam Green - LOW MILES (65K). Overall good condition - good commuter car. Was a Florida car until 12/2011 - purchased from parents. I've put approx. 12K miles on car and have done the following repairs (I have paperwork):
12/11 (54K miles): replaced rear air shocks (Arnott)
1/12 (55K miles): replaced water pump & thermostat
1/12 (55K miles): replaced power steering rack & outer tie rods
3/12 (56K miles): replaced air shocks air pump
12/12: replaced sway bar links
3/13 (64K miles) new battery
Car has chrome wheels, everything works, vinyl roof, has 6 CD changer in trunk, cassette. Tires have no more than 20K (or so on them) -plenty left. Minor rust spot on hood (dime size). Ashtray on console won't stay shut. 16 year old car that shows typical wear/tear on leather drivers seat as well as some minor dings/scrapes. Rear bumper chrome misaligned (bumper "tapped" at some point). "Service air ride control" message comes up on message center since I have replaced air shocks/air pump (common when replacing w/aftermarket air suspension - I believe there is a way to address -but have not pursued). Runs great and is reliable. Please ask questions -I will be happy to answer.

Cadillac confirms new flagship to be built in Detroit next year
Fri, 19 Sep 2014
"The objective for this upcoming model is to lift the Cadillac range by entering the elite class of top-level luxury cars." - Johan de Nysschen
Cadillac confirmed Friday morning it will build its new flagship sedan, expected to be called the LTS, starting in late in 2015 in Detroit.
Cadillac ATS was almost front-wheel drive
Wed, 03 Apr 2013"We were going to do a front-wheel drive Cadillac compact off of Delta because it was going to be less expensive," Doug Parks, General Motors' vice president of global product programs, told the Automotive News during the Detroit Auto Show in January of this year. That sentence, referring to early ATS discussions more than five years ago - a period when the automaker, and the industry, was struggling - reveals that Cadillac's highly acclaimed rear-wheel drive compact sedan almost never happened.
Parks revealed that that automaker actually built a 2.0-liter test mule, on GM's Delta platform (shared with the Chevrolet Cruze and Buick Verano) and tested it in Europe. While the prototype was "pretty darn good," according to Parks, the team realized that in order to compete against Mercedes-Benz and BMW it would have to invest in a new rear-wheel drive platform.
The resulting all-new Alpha platform would eventually underpin the Cadillac ATS, and many would argue that its balanced rear-wheel drive chassis is its single most important attribute. Thankfully, the Alpha's goodness won't stop with the ATS. The upcoming 2014 Cadillac CTS and the future Camaro will also share its architecture, meaning the Cimarron will remain a distant memory.
