1976 Cadillac San Remo 2 Door Coupe

This 1976 Cadillac "San Remo" 2 Door Coupe is one of 6 two door coupes built by Coach Design Inc. in 1976. Coach Design Inc. was located in Beverly Hills California and became known for producing the highest quality Cadillac 2 door 4 person Convertibles and two door 4 person Coupes marketed under the "San Remo" Trade Mark.

What made Coach Design Inc. San Remo Seville's different from all the other offerings at the time was the quality of the build and the fact that the car retained the original Seville wheelbase and were Not shortened or lengthened as were many other Cadillac Seville conversions made during the 1970's.

Coach Design engineered the look, the feel and drive just like a Cadillac would have built in-house . Rather than change the wheelbase of the car Coach Design Inc. removed the Seville Rear Doors, and lengthened the doors and quarter panels to give the car's the proper look and proportion you would expect from a factory car.

The craftsmanship was the best in the industry. The trim interior retained the stock Cadillac appearance and most important the car still remained a 4 person car complete with a usable rear seating area.

This car was sold new in Beverly Hills California. The car remained in the Beverly Hills/ Marina Del Ray California area until December of 2010 when the car was sold to a person in Dallas Texas.

The car passed the complete and tough Texas Safety inspection process in December of 2010 and the stickers remain on the windshield.

This car has had a recent professional paint job on a virtually rust free vehicle that took 4 months and appeared to have one respray in the past

The interior has been painstakingly restored by a local upholstery shop taking in access of 6 months. This included new seating cover, carpet, headliner, door panels redone, all trim parts recovered and a brand new landau top.

The steering wheel is cracked and the dash pad is cracked and a dash cap and steering wheel cover has been installed.

This car has had a recent tune up, 2 fuel injectors replaced, one new fuel pump, and a new air compressor installed, new muffler , tail pipe and rear air shocks.

The radio was missing when I purchased the car and I had a new Kenwood AM/FM/CD installed

There is still a few odds and ends the car needs. The sunroof switch has been lost, the power seats need hooked up and there is a box of interior trim parts that need to be dyed and reinstalled. This is all finishing touches from the interior shop. The smog pump needs to be replaced and a v-belt installed. I have attained a correct smog pump.

I have an original Seville hood and Grille painted to match the car that is included in this sale.

I drive this car every chance I get.

I am selling this car AS-IS with no warranty expressed or applied

The sale of this vehicle originates in Simpson County, Franklin Kentucky 42134

GM announces six new recalls, covering 3.5 million vehicles

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

General Motors has just initiated another crushingly large recall, this time affecting some 3.36 million vehicles built between 2000 and 2014 and sold in the US, Canada and Mexico. Once again, the issue surrounds the cars' ignition switches, which can be kicked out of the run position if they're carrying extra weight or if they experience a "jarring" event. In this particular case, though, GM will modify the keys, rather than the ignition itself.
A four-by-six-millimeter hole will be drilled into the key, which will more safely accommodate the weight of the key ring. As is usually the case, the work will be done free of charge. The recalled vehicles include the 2000 to 2005 Cadillac Deville, 2004 to 2005 Buick Regal LS and GS, 2004 to 2011 Cadillac DTS, 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse, 2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2006 to 2011 Buick Lucerne and 2006 to 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Only the Impala is still in production, and even then, it's only sold to fleet companies.
According to an official statement from GM, there have been eight crashes and six injuries due to this latest issue. As if this isn't a dire enough blow for GM, the company has announced five smaller recalls, covering 165,000 vehicles.

Ghostbusters' Ecto-1 detailed in behind-the-scenes video

Thu, Jun 9 2016

The Ghostbusters reboot is coming, ready or not. And along with a gender swap between the 'busters and their secretary, the team's trusty chariot, Ecto-1, is getting a refresh. It's still a specialized Cadillac, but that's where the similarities end, judging by the new featurette you see above. Instead of a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance, 2016's Ecto-1 is a 1982 Cadillac Deville. And instead of being built to keep people from dying, the new car is meant to transport the dead. Yep, it's a hearse. It's hard not to find some kind of hidden meaning there, but this video doesn't mention it. What we have learned here is that the way the new Ghostbusters acquire their vehicle is a little bit different than it was in the original film. In the 1984 version, Dr. Ray Stantz, played by Dan Aykroyd, bought the 1959 ambulance for $4,800 – the equivalent of $11,000 today – despite a litany of problems. It was clear in the film that Ecto-1 was dilapidated long before the Ghostbusters breathed life back into it. But in the new film, the team acquires Ecto-1 from the uncle of Patty Tolan – Leslie Jones' character. And based on the film featurette, it looks like it's in solid shape before the team adds its distinctive livery and logo. You can learn more about the car, see parts of the build process, and hear the cast and crew talk about it in this two-minute featurette. Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15. Related Video:

Cadillac CTS-V spotted with big exhaust, new grille?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

If you thought Cadillac was content to leave its twin-turbocharged Vsport as the range-topping CTS, think again. Behold, our first good glimpse at the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V sedan, sporting more aggressive styling (somewhere under there), meaty quad-exhaust pipes, and what very well could be a new face for the V-badged Caddies.
Creating an all-new grille design seems like an awful lot of work just for a prototype, so it's very possible that the vertical-bar treatment you see here could make its way into production. Our spy photographers have pointed out that they've seen this same sort of grille treatment on prototypes for the smaller ATS-V sedan, and we've heard V-series models may soon have greater differentiation from the standard vehicles that sired them - that seems especially necessary if Cadillac insists on expanding this whole Vsport range.
Regardless of how its front end looks, the CTS-V ought to be a real monster. Industry sources say we can expect to see a supercharged version of General Motors' 6.2-liter V8 under the Caddy's hood, and considering the current car already makes 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque, we wouldn't be surprised to see a decent increase in both of those numbers. After all, one of the CTS-V's main competitors, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, is currently putting out 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Could this mean a 600-hp Cadillac is on the horizon?
