1976 Cadillac Seville Kingswood Green on 2040-cars
Bean Station, Tennessee, United States
1976 Cadillac Seville.
This is a beautiful survivor with interesting history. This rare Kingswood Green Seville was originally sent by GM to be a VIP Courtesy Vehicle at the Masters Golf Classic.
The vehicle was driven a little over 300 miles and was sold as a “program vehicle" to Sexton Cadillac Knoxville, TN where it was sold to the first owner. The second owner bought it in 1980 where it has remained until his passing. The vehicle was clearly his pride and joy. The vehicle has extensive documentation from the day he bought it and has been garaged since. Though she is not perfect… she is a prime example of a well cared for and cherished vehicle. The vehicle has had a complete and correct repaint in 1998 at the dealership. Everything from anual leather treatment to all service aspects and adjustments were documented with receipts to back it up. This car has been pampered. The vehicle was dealership R134 AC converted with the correct compressor and parts. The leather is soft and supple. The carpets are beautiful. The dash has 2 very small heat cracks in the pad. The top is blemish free. The complete front end was rebuilt and properly aligned. The fuel injection was dealership rebuilt. It drives as it did in 1976. The car is sound. The dash bright work is excellent. The factory radio functions as new along with the power antenna. The climate control works well. This vehicle has been kept up with no glaring issues. She is a pleasure to drive and gets compliments daily. The fuel injection performs perfectly and she will get up to 21 mpg on the highway. All seals and rubber are in fantastic condition. The turbine wheel inserts are in the trunk “the owner didn’t like them” She is smooth tight and quiet. She still smells like new leather and she glides down the road true and straight and stops smoothly. . You can compare this vehicle to a 3-5 year old garaged vehicle.... its a joy to drive. Vehicle was just serviced with new battery and fluids. The vehicle comes will all manuals/receipts and owners documentation. The owner kept a complete journal. She has the factory spare with the mini inflation canister. This vehicle has won local shows for best in class. The paint is deep and shows very well. There are 2 minor blemishes but you have to look for them. This vehicle is smoke, rust and accident free. The lighter has never been used. Like others on here with 5 digit odometers… I’m not going to say it has 17k miles. This Caddy was driven and cherished. She has had a pampered 117K miles and needs nothing. The rear bumper insert is the only cosmetic item needing replaced. The trunk key cover is missing.
This Seville is sure to please and is priced to go. This is a time capsule that is a lot of vehicle for the $. The pictures pay this no justice... the car is beautiful! My feedback says it all.
Please feel free to ask any questions and I can send as many pictures as needed. Happy Bidding. |

First Cadillac ELR rolls off the line
Thu, 30 May 2013Gearing up for the Belle Isle Grand Prix this weekend, General Motors invited some of the Chevrolet and Cadillac racecar drivers out to its Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. While there, the racers - including IndyCar Driver and Chevrolet Volt owner, Simona De Silvestro - witnessed the very first 2014 Cadillac ELR to roll off the assembly line.
These vehicles are not destined for customers, however, but instead pre-production units will be used by engineers for testing purposes. Actual production of ELR consumer models is expected to commence closer to the end of this year. As a refresher, this range-extended electric Cadillac shares much of its powertrain with the Volt but will have a sportier coupe design inspired by the Converj Concept. De Silvestro manged to snap a few images of here own, which you can see in the gallery below.
J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.
Driving the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V at the old Elkhart Lake road course
Wed, Jun 24 2015The placid community around Elkart Lake, WI, looks about as far removed from a glorious motorsport venue as you can imagine. A turn of the century downtown gives way to old-school resorts, beaches, and boat launches around the picturesque lake, with farms framing the rolling hills all around. But it was those very same meandering country lanes that gave birth to one of America's greatest racing circuits, some 65 years ago. Between the first race in 1950 and the opening of the dedicated Road America track in 1956, the roads around Elkhart Lake provided the setting for some great post-war racing. Competing on public streets was ultimately outlawed across the country, but not before drivers risked life and limb in the name of glory in the Wisconsin summer. Cadillac asked us out to the area recently, not to talk racing history, but to look forward at one of the most track capable cars the company has ever offered: the 2016 CTS-V. We got to drive the 640-horsepower beastie for an entire morning of hot laps at Road America, but unfortunately, we're not allowed to tell you about all of that right now. You'll have to wait until the embargo lifts on August 3, at which point we promise a full recounting of our adventure. Having the CTS-V for a full two days though, and in the spirit of the motorsport that imbues the air in Elkhart Lake, we took the Cadillac on a drive around the old 6.5-mile road course. Come for the new Caddy, but stick around to find out what the hell Wacker's Wend is. Cadillac Luxury Performance Videos
